This is a great low key place to just chat with friends! I had never been to or smoked Hookah before a few months ago, at first I wasn't really into it but after a couple trips it has become a nice place to hang out with my minorific friends. On the weekends they have a DJ, one night, wedensdays I think, they have belly dancers and tuesdays they offer great discounts on the premium hookahs. You do have to purchase a $6 membership but that membership gives you a nice discount at the tattoo parlor next door. read more

I have been a couple of times with my wife. The place is nice and the service is good. It is just fun to sit relax and chat. On Friday and Saturday nights they have a DJ that starts at 10pm. This place has changed and not for the better. They still charge a $6.00 per person "Membership" fee. They no longer have a liquor license so you cannot order liquor with the hookah's, but they charge a $10.00 fee if you bring your own bottle. Also they only have two pipe hookah's that are about 8 inches in height. No food or drinks at all outside of a selection of (6) beers. Totally not worth the money to come to this place. read more

Noelle V. did an exemplary job describing the in's and out's of the establishment, so I won't waste words. I've visited this location a handful of times, and progressively my experiences have declined in the satisfaction department. The hookahs are fine, the smoke tastes great, but the service is hit or miss, or miss, or miss. My last experience was this: It was a normal Saturday night, the venue was about half full.. Perfect. Not awkwardly lonely, not packed busy. One of the members of my party had left their ID at the house, and couldn't get the membership. Our fault, no worries. We headed back to the car and were back in 30 minutes with an ID. Bought the membership, and asked to order at the bar, as we already knew what we wanted... Well, guy behind the bar wasn't having it and told us to grab a seat and he would send someone our way. Sure thing, chief. The place is comfy and laid back so everyone was getting a good dose of the "No-worries" vibe that they pump out there. We sat for 10 minutes, watching the staff walk around, refilling coals, laughing, providing service... Then those rays of carefree started turning sharp... another 10 minutes pass and we're still not served. We had been walked by a handful of times by a handful of different staff members, and were in direct view of the bartender who instructed us to sit down. The party took a turn for the worse. We gave them ten more minutes. Admittedly, this could have simply been resolved by walking up to the bar and reminding him that we had been sitting there. Who knows, maybe he would have given us a discount... But we just weren't feeling the good vibes, and decided to head out. I had started a tab and left my card at the bartender. The rest of my party headed to the car. I asked for my card back, and hinted that we had sat there for 30 minutes unnoticed. He didn't apologize, just told me that they'd need to cash me out. WAIT, WHAT? Really? I get it. I bought that little membership card for my friend after having to drive and get the ID... but, seriously? No comping six bucks? No apology? He told me if I went out and got the card he wouldn't charge me. I told him to enjoy his six and tax, we would never see him again. Unfortunate... Because my first visit here was fantastic. I've driven past Minglewood Plaza a few times and have taken note of the small crowds of people, yes, mingling, on the porch lined with 'Avatar'-esque electric blue lights and finally pulled in. I was greeted by an impressive guitar sculpture in the parking lot, and as I walked across the front of the expansive building, I noticed several modern black couches set in groups in large rooms. Once inside, I expected to see people lingering over drinks -- one man was enjoying a plate of Mediterranean food. Another thing that I noticed is that the space was very modern -- high ceilings, and immaculate. Zero clutter, save for small magazine holders on the wall. I walked to the bar and was greeted by a friendly woman, dressed in Bohemian attire. She gave me the rundown -- it's obviously a hookah lounge (a water pipe, originally from India, used to smoke tobacco by heating the tobacco with coals and cooling the smoke using water before it's inhaled) -- it's a $6 membership fee, which will eventually get the member into all of the businesses inside of Minglewood Plaza -- there's an oxygen bar opening, and the sign also advertised 'cereal'. Interesting. I glanced over the 'Shisha' menu, divided into 'Premium $16', 'House $14', and 'Suggested Blends $18', was filled with various tobacco flavors, including, but not limited to: Blue Mist, Citrus Mint, Honey Berry, Cola, Pomegranate, Watermelon, Strawberry Cake (Blend of strawberry and vanilla). I was directed to Code 69, which gives 'the most buzz', and tastes like gummi bears. It's an interesting concept, and if you're a non-tobacco smoker, you can smoke organic tea leaves, which come in Mixed Fruit, Blueberry, and Spearmint flavors for $10. Also noted on the menu were Mediterranean dishes, all under $10. You can purchase beer on site, but it's B.Y.O.W. (Bring Your Own Wine) for a fee of $10. read more

I was unimpressed with this place. They charge you to get in the door, then charge a ridiculous amount for a shisha...they use shitty self lighter coals, you can't move them around yourself or clear the chambers when it gets harsh. The tobacco is OK but nothing special...staff not bad but not good either. I work in the middle East and have my own shisha's at home but shisha is a social thing so i wanted to give it a try, but this place is seriously lacking...planning on trying some other places in the area as there are quite a few popping up. Atmosphere is less than mediocre. Hookahs were harsh and opposite of smooth! Tobacco/filling tasted old/stale. Limited flavors available compared to other franchises/hookah lounges. Music wasn't good. Service was as rather slow. I'm sorry to say, I will not return. read more

Where is the0 star button? Came in with eight people Michelle was the person to greet us with an unpleasant smile if this is not her name she wears lite blue glasses and has lite brown hair. She told us we all need a membership and she has to charge us $6 each for entrance the place wasn't even packed. After we explained to her we only have 5 people smoking she said then why are people here that doesn't smoke (ha I'm sure there is a nicer way to say this). After we explained to her there was no need to say what she said she says there is no more hookah we only have 15 hookahs and we are using all 15. Hummm really? So I went around the place to see how many hookahs were out, the answer is 7 hookahs. And why the hell is there a hookah place with only 15 hookahs what type of hookah place is this. I'm not sure which location that my husband & I had stopped at but it was the one that looked like a row home & the only parking available was a very small area behind the building. When we walked in it was extremely dark. There was a man sitting behind a counter to the left of us. We waited....& waited....after about 10 to 15 minutes he finally acknowledged our presence but asking "Can I help you..." My husband said we wanted to have a seat & hookah. The response we got was "Not without a membership." At this point it wouldn't have mattered if the membership was 50 cents, we were totally over this place, but we asked anyway out of curiosity & told the guy to forget it. We've never been back or even thought about giving them another try. We found a much friendlier & inviting place. They actually act like they care about their business & the customers that support it. We absolutely love Royal Hookah! read more

I have been here a bunch and try to like it, but unfortunately i think its a pretty sub-par hookah place. It is not very smokey and half the time i have to tighten the hoses myself because its letting air in. Also i have had much better hookahs that do not burn and destroy my throat, and every time i have come here the next morning i sound like a 80 year old smoker. The service is hit or miss, majority of the time i have to ask for another coal or go to the bar to get my order in. Finally i have been there several times when they have put my tab under pretty degrading names, which is extremely unprofessional when you obviously have my credit card with my last name. Its extremely unfortunate that such an awesome venue can be be so messed up by the unprofessional rude workers at oasis. read more
