The bouncer stopped me and abruptly said, "cover's $12". I paused and said, "oh, didn't know that there was a cover" "yeah, band tonight". With no one behind me waiting to get in, the bouncer again abruptly said, "well...." and pointed his hand toward the street. Meaning, that if I wasn't willing to make a decision to pay the $12 cover at that moment, he was directing me to move to the road. Wow. What an asshole.
