I only wish that they would send us to St Clare for testing when it is needed instead of St John's Mercy hospital, but I guess it all has to do with their affiliations.

Dr. Norfleet's nurse, Christie, is delightful, and does the weight, bp, temp . . . all those things that must be monitored and regulated. Yet, Dr. Norfleet is a personable and non-judgmental physician who is very encouraging related to lifestyle management and upkeeping good health. And she's funny and approachable, too. I am diligent about keeping her abreast of news or changes with my specialists. Everybody's gotta be onboard. I know people who are very fragmented with their physicians. Every doctor has their own little slot, and there's no sharing. Because the sharing must come from the patient. And these folks have suffered medically and physically for non-full disclosure. Not a good approach. Dr. Norfleet practices at the Central Medical Group (14th floor) in the Barnes-Jewish Hospital Center for Advanced Medicine at Kingshighway Boulevard and Forest Park Parkway.

If you are fed up with doctors who are…read moreall the cliches we hate (LATE for appt, inattentive, spend very little face time with you) then go see my doctor and you will be SPOILED. Although he is only has office hrs in STL 2-3 days weekly, you can usually get in that very day you phone. In 2 yrs, I've only waited 1 time in lobby for my appt, that was 10 min. every other appt has been right on schedule. He doesn't have a nurse, you see him, Dr. Ishida, for 15 min to 30 min. however long it takes. He listens, explains, then discusses coarse of care AND gets your opinions of his choice of care, medication, cure, etc. I have to warn you, the appearance of his office may be a bit off-putting because he has paperwork and books everywhere---he is somewhat eccentric---but he is a prolific reader & writer---you'll GET it. He has an impressive resume, including a stint at educating medical students. How adorable is this: he just returned from a 2 wk trip to Japan and brought back some small souvenirs for some of his patients. ahhh He took the time to explain to me, the area he visited and how the gift represented the region and even translated the kanjis so I could share the info with my hubby. Bad news: he has recently decided not to deal with insurance companies any more (can't say I blame him). And, although I was only paying $15 co-pay to him as a general physician, I am now paying his full office rate - $65. I will continue to do so, cuz I love this doctor. DR. ISHIDA is the best doctor I've had in my entire adult life (I'm 39).

Before any labs or testing were done, the physician repeatedly told me my symptoms were "normal pregnancy tiredness" and said my concerns were outpatient issues, implying nothing could be done for me. I have had three prior pregnancies and explained that what I was feeling did not feel normal. I specifically asked for my iron levels to be checked and felt I had to repeatedly advocate to be taken seriously. When I asked why I was sent to Labor & Delivery if nothing could be done, I was told it was "just to make sure," which made me feel like I did not belong there. After labs were completed, results came back abnormal, confirming my symptoms were not simply normal pregnancy fatigue. I left feeling dismissed and unsupported. I hope future pregnant patients are evaluated before assumptions are made.

When I arrived, a nurse came in the room and apologized - saying Dr. Morgan doesnt prescribe testosterone and the receptionist who booked me was new and made a mistake. Fine, waste of my time, whatever. Then they billed both my insurance company and myself for the visit!!!!! I called to get it reversed and got the run around - I called 4 times, conversed with them through MyChart 2 times, and they would not budge - insisting that they had provided me a service - what service? They totally wasted my time. The fact that they had the nerve to bill me, and wouldnt adjust it after many complaints is shocking! My final phone call, I told them I would like to discuss this directly with Dr. Morgan. They said they would have her call me - and of course, she never did. JUST SHAMEFUL AND GREEDY!
