I decided to try a class here because it was close by to where we were staying. I've only been doing BJJ for about six months, so I'm as new as they come. But I wanted to continue my training while on vacation. I showed up to a Wed 09 basics class and what absolutely COULD have felt incredibly intimidating, was anything but. I was the only female of maybe 10 to 11 students and 2 instructors. There were 2 other white belts in addition to me and the rest of the students were blue, purple and brown belts. I felt welcomed and safe and like I belonged there , regardless of my belt color or lack of time in the sport. I LOVED learning new techniques and getting different perspectives from the instructors and other higher belt students. Thank you for making this white belt rookie feel welcomed! With times as they are, I understand that they are having a hard time finding an employe, however NO ONE, including the fitness director,(Julian or Joey) can give me a straight answer as to whether the Monday class is happening or not. Emails to managers, Anthony and Christina, have gone unanswered. The recent changes seemed brought the gym down.

The gym has helped me out with my cancellation so I have no problems with them but ABC Fitness can suck my fatty. Coach Jose, I appreciate the knowledge you taught me even if it was for a short while. To the owner: I bet you get a lot of hate because of this but just know I enjoyed the gym and the people I trained with. I wish I never signed that awful 2-year contract. No hate on the gym, but ABC solutions was awful and I wish I was better informed before signing the contract. ABC Solutions (and by association, the gym) has predatory contracts that were not explained well. DO NOT do a 2 year contract with them, whatever you do. Cancellation is impossible with ABC solutions. After attempting to cancel several times, I ended up paying for 2 YEARS. LISTEN TO THE 1 STAR REVIEWS! Now, before the owner of the gym ruffles his feathers like he does with all the other 1 star reviews, just note that the instructors are great, the team is friendly, and if you are 100% certain about wanted to pursue contact sports as a hobby then this is a good place to do that. However, in good conscience, I cannot give the gym a higher rating after paying over $2400 for only going about 4 or 5 times.
