Hundreds of Hops US Hop Passport Amazing Brewery Race Stop 5 - 3 of 5 for South Dakota…read more Remedy is a brewery that sticks on our memory rather well, so each time we visit, we expect a stellar experience then feel like it could have gone better. Staff are friendly enough though not the most informative or personable encountered & I like the brewery itself. I love that they have a cheese fridge, meaning they're probably aware cheese & beer go GREAT together. They do allow samples, tho you (I) feel pressured to pick & get out of the way for the next person to order. This is a place that I need just accept being "that girl" to sample before ordering, even if it's something in my preferred categories. It just seems to be about a 50/50 shot as to hit or miss. Of 20 brewery visits, this was the only one that had a DNF beer. We agreed 1 of the 2 selections was a total loss & dumped it. Since it was bogo, no financial loss and we weren't upset by it. It was simply a miss. That said, the other selection was good (50/50 eh)

Hundreds of Hops US Hop Passport Amazing Brewery Race Stop 6 - 4 of 5 for South Dakota…read more New since last visit, now serving pizza (didn't try it so can't say much more than they have it available) Some of the friendliest & most energetic staff I've encountered in my beer travels. They truly bounce around, interacting with everyone and are on top of service - not only when your glass is running low... they pop by & discuss what you're drinking. They take your feedback & make suggestions from there on what else you may like or might prefer based on the discussion, which is pretty awesome. We did a total of 3 here & thought all 3 were good. It's definitely a place we'd go back to!

Danny took great care of us, we sat at the bar which I recommended at any brewery, it's a great way to taste before committing. She was super friendly. The beers we had were very good. The lager with lime had a lot of lime in it. The pickle beer was very unique. They are located in what appears to be an office building downtown, but still looked like a brewery, and they do make the beer there. They are very limited in food, snack mix, snack pretzels and 5 pizzas made to order in a small pizza oven behind the counter. We tried the cheese which was pretty good.

Somehow, we find ourselves forgetting what we thought about Severance Brewing until the next time we walk in. That's crazy to me because it's definitely my top pick for the Sioux Falls stops. There is plenty of natural light. The music is good. The ambiance clean & fresh without feeling sterile/ generic or uninviting. The staff know their products & the selections are solid. The cheeky brew based on the 1 star review shows the playful side, despite the pettiness. Perhaps, that's the key to seeing Severance into my memory. Of course, we purchased cooler beers this time... soon to be couch beers or camping beers.

The house salad had one of the best blue cheese dressings I ever had. The cheesy tortilla soup, outstanding. We ordered fish tacos and the classic cheeseburger as the main course.
