The owner, A Train treated my bff and I like family. I also told A Train about my recent trip to another studio and how my tattoo faded in 4 days.. he explained "that is why we will not do tattoos in that spot". I also inquired about my old 'tramp stamp' and asked about tattooing it white (after many failures in laser). She never made us feel rushed while we tweaked the design, and she was meticulous when it came to placement, making sure each tattoo looked perfect on each of us. We have been coming to the Outer Banks for years upon years and get beach braids each year we come…read more Recently when we went this year, we had a not so good experience. We went in and there was hardly anyone there. A older man (who we believe has been there for a while) was nice and helped us pick out our colors. One of the girls in our group had shorter (slightly below the shoulders) hair. Her hair is thinner than the rest of ours. They started the braid and realized that they had "messed" up. They attempted to take it out and completely pulled the entire strand of hair out. Her head now has a bald spot right off of her part due to the fact that the employees were not careful enough with her hair type. If they were unable to work with that type of hair they should have been more clear or more careful. My family/friends and I are extremely disappointed in our service and experience this year. Regardless of what they do, they left a young girl with a bald spot which was completely unwarranted. All we gained from this place was no hair braid, a bald spot, and time wasted. My cousin got her hair done by the same employee and it was finished extremely quick. I guess they need to slow down and ensure they actually do a good job before they rip somebody else's hair out. Maybe as a business they need to train their employees for longer before they are able to work!!! Learn to be more careful!
