We've been here a couple of times to pop in a grab a leotard and ballet flats... always friendly and attentive staff! Today we swung by to try out the pointe shoe fitting and buy new pointe shoes... the owner was lovely, kind, attentive, and really listened to my daughter's feedback. She was patient and thorough. Daughter is starting dance classes, and we needed shoes for her. Such a wonderful experience and the person that helped us was so kind and helped put her shoes on and make sure we got the right sizes. There was even a little stage to look at yourself with the shoes on, really loved it and our experience. Definitely would recommend and would go back for all our dance shoes. read more

Highly recommend!!!! Very clean, organized and displays a dancers dream closet. Everything your dancer needs can be found here. And I can't say enough about the great customer service!! The owners are very friendly and super knowledgeable about Dancewear and the dance world. We had great conversation while my teen shopped but what really makes me happy is the owner's knowledge. My daughter has been dancing for about 11 years and knows exactly what she wants. Between what she described to the owners and a few points and poses of her feet the owners brought out the perfect ballet pointe shoe for her in one try. The quickest pointe shopping experience ever!! Most of the other places we've tried in the past would try and sell her on pointe shoes she did not like or we had to sit through numerous fittings. But not at OC Dancewear. They listened and used their expertise to get the right shoe. I am so glad OC Dancewear opened. It is in a great shopping center, close to the freeway so anyone traveling there can get there quick. They have new trending attire. And prices are competitive, if not better. Wow, that's all I can say! What a new special amazing little spot that has literally everything you could possibly want! The prices are good and the service is impeccable! The gentleman who was helping me was extremely personable and kind . He explained to me about the sizing, etc., and made sure that I got the right ballet slippers in the right size. Best service I have ever recieved! The lady handling the store is so sweet and humble. I called 30-45 minutes prior to entering, and asked for character shoes. She accepts walk-ins, and she is overall one of the nicest people I will ever come across in customer service. You can just feel how much of a passion she has for making people happy instead of making money for her business. This is a super convenient location in Yorba Linda, being that the nearest store to us is about 20 minutes away. We were really excited when they opened. If you need something quick and common like shoes or tights, they've got you. The reason I give it a 3 is because we've now gone in at least a handful of times looking for something specific and every time we're told "we're sold out." It's disappointing because we love the proximity, but we now know to go elsewhere. We would love for this to be our go to, but not many options when you're deep in dance such as competitions. read more

I was browsing the area because I needed to get my 5 year old some ballet shoes and some attire and I also had to get my niece a pointe shoe fitting. I saw this place was brand new so I dropped by during their soft opening to check it out. I was quite impressed with this place, they definitely did not disappoint. I want to start by saying they have an insane pointe shoe selection. My niece is normally used to walking around and just choosing a pair but Paul and Sandy were actually really helpful and informative. They recommended 4 pairs for my niece to try on. Their recommendations were great and they all fit my niece really well. They have a beautiful stage where she was able to take her time and feel each one of them out. They let us know that if she experienced any problems while dancing, we can let them know and they will adjust them for her. My niece ended up choosing the Nikolay 3007 Pro. I ended up getting my daughter a leather ballet flat and a cute outfit. Paul and Sandy were great and super nice and helpful! I cannot say enough about this store! This is definitely going to be my go to place from now on. read more
