So today I pushed myself to do it but after the work was done the motor was running 2 minutes and stopped again and again. I texted Vincent for help and after several exchanges of texts and pictures he suggested that it was a problem with the voltage. I was sure that my timer was on 110 !! After checking , sure enough it was 250 V... so I put back the switch of the motor to 220 and voila it worked !! We have an older pool that began losing water and needed a professional. We called George in the…read moremorning and he came to look at the pool four hours later! Polite, professional, on time and knowledgeable; all things that a a rarity in the south Florida market. He detected an external leak at the fountain feature and recommended someone to fix it. But in the meantime the pool kept losing water even though the fountain had been turned off. George came back out two days later, dove into the pool for more tests and used sonic technology on the paver deck to locate a leak in the old main drain rubber hose. He was careful not to disturb any pavers that were not absolutely necessary to move. He also put in a temporary plug to stop the leaking until the pipe could be repaired. Best of all, I thought that because he came back twice he would charge again, but he did it all for the same $350. If you have a leak, do not hesitate to call Poseidon!

My experience with Superb Pools was an absolute nightmare. My pool was left in worst condition than…read morethey found it in. Avoid at all costs!! We moved into a new home that had a saltwater pool and wanted some work done, as well as find a company for regular cleanings. We wanted to have the pool light replaced, as well as have the tiles acid washed and the surrounding brick pavers cleaned. I was given a quote on Tuesday, and told that if I could approve and pay deposit by Wednesday, the work could be completed that week. We went ahead and approved the quote, as well as paid the 50% deposit. Thursday morning the work began on schedule and things appeared to be going well. We were told the pool needed to be drained below the light, but they drained the entire pool instead. It was initially not a big deal, but when they called and asked us to approve additional work since the pool was already drained, I should have realized then how this company does business. Thursday evening I received a text saying the pool was being filled overnight, and to give them an update in the morning so they could come back and finish up. I sent a text with a picture around 9:00 am. By about 1:00 pm when I had not received any response, I called and texted again. No response again. Finally someone responded and said they would be there by 3:00 pm. I received a call at 3:00 pm stating they were picking up the sealant and on their way. Someone arrived around 3:45 pm and put several bags of salt and chemicals into our pool. I could immediately tell that it was WAY too much salt, as it created a rim around the entire pool. The individual left about 10 minutes later with our pool looking absolutely terrible... lots of dirt and debris, a salty rim formed all around the pool, and the machine beeping saying there was way too much salt. I assumed they were coming back and would not leave their customers' pool like this over the weekend. Especially when they said the work would be done this week! After about an hour, I reached out with pictures and videos asking when this was going to be corrected. I sent numerous texts, phone calls, and emails over a two hour period. Finally someone responded and told me that this was completely normal and that the salty rim would be filtered out, and that the rest of the work would be done the following week! Keep in mind the machine was telling me our pool had twice the safe limit. I'm not sure whether they just do not know how to service a saltwater pool, or if they are just that negligent, but this company should not be trusted in your home. They also had the audacity to send me a bill for work that I had to hire another company to come out and fix/ complete. Our new company was APPALLED at the condition our pool was left in and has encouraged us to report them to the State. Save yourself the headache and avoid this company at all costs.

I never leave bad reviews, but it is evident from recent Yelp reviews that ACDC Pool Works is…read morehaving issues. First, to get in touch with this business is very difficult as they rarely answer their phones and are not very responsive to emails or to inquiries on their website; red flag. ACDC Pool Works quoted me a fee to come out and fix what they said was a simple issue with a repetitive error message that I was receiving on my pool equipment. Well, they came out and the ACDC tech said he guaranteed the problem was fixed when he changed a setting in my equipment, but 20 minutes later (after the tech was gone of course) I was receiving the same error messages. The tech's guarantee that the problem was fixed was also captured on my Ring camera. So I contacted ACDC Pool Works by phone, email, and their website to let them know the problem wasn't fixed as they guaranteed and I waited, and I waited, and I waited. Finally, the business owner with initials "A.C." responded via email and said they were in contact with Hayward (the manufacturer of my pool equipment) and it was a well-known firmware issue. Something wasn't adding up here because the ACDC Pool Works tech was "100% certain" the issue was due to a settings error but yet A.C. said this was a well-known issue with firmware that Hayward is working on. Hmmmmm. A.C. also said this error message could be caused by a high salt content which is clearly not the case with me as my salt content is measured manually every week by my regular pool maintenance company and my salt content is also monitored automatically and continually by my Hayward system. It seemed like A.C. was just making excuses and he either wasn't being truthful and/or he doesn't train his technicians very well. I then decided to contact the manufacturer Hayward directly and the conversation with them was quite interesting. First, Hayward couldn't even confirm that ACDC Pool Works called them about this issue in the first place. Next, Hayward confirmed that my firmware version is the most current available and the Hayward representative wasn't aware of any updates they were working on for these error messages. They also said that as long as my pool is generating chlorine, which it clearly is, that the error messages can be ignored. This was quite a bit different than what A.C. was advising. I then presented A.C. with this information from Hayward and asked for a refund given that his company didn't do as they had promised and did absolutely nothing to resolve my problem, providing grossly inaccurate diagnosis of my pool system as well. A.C. then said that he would not provide a refund and then had the audacity to bring up that 2 years ago, he provided me a quote of a replacement pool part that I ended up going to another vendor for. Well A.C., not only is this completely irrelevant but perhaps if your pool part wasn't 50% more expensive than your competition, I would have given you the business. In short, I would avoid doing business with this company. If you have a Hayward system, contact Hayward directly and they will recommend an alternate company to service your equipment. Good luck!
