Avoid OC Tint Solutions in Anaheim/Costa Mesa. I've attached pictures of how they let me leave the shop originally. I had a terrible experience with the owner, Jason. After getting my car tinted, I noticed dirt, debris, and defects on multiple windows. Jose at the front desk was helpful, acknowledged it was a poor tint job, and genuinely wanted to make things right. The owner, however, was a different story. Jason was rude, passive-aggressive, and spent 40 minutes going back and forth with me, implying I was the kind of customer he doesn't want--claiming he sees a "pattern" in people like me who "nitpick everything." I have proof of the time stamps to back this up. Instead of taking responsibility, he kept complaining about labor and parts costs and told me I wouldn't understand his side unless I worked a retail job. He insisted a mark on my back windshield was a defect in the manufacturer glass and said they had no choice but to tint over it. I later took the car to Honda, and they removed it easily with Windex and a microfiber cloth--it was just a piece of speck residue from the tint shop that they tinted over originally. Even after admitting my driver-side window shouldn't have left the shop in that condition, he still tried to shift blame and suggested I should pay for their mistake. Tinting isn't cheap, and when I'm paying for quality, I expect quality. My encounter with Jason made me extremely uncomfortable and left me with a horrible experience. I had them remove my tint after Jason made me feel terrible and I received a refund, however, that doesn't justify a business owner treating their customers like that. Let me give my recommendation before going into the weed: I highly recommend this shop. When I purchase another Tesla for my daughter-in-law later, I will pay Anthony a visit again. Now the weed.... When I was looking for a shop to PPF + tint + ceramic coat my wife's new toy - a red Model Y Juniper with white interior, I started by looking into the recommendations from YouTubers focused on Teslas. I got the name of two shops + one in my neighborhood. The next step was to do a web search including Yelp and others to learn from others experience. The final step is visiting these shops and talk to the owner/manager. I settled on OC Tinting Solutions. The price is inline with the other two. I actually watched the technician for a few minutes PPF'ing another car. He was super-careful and meticulous. I like that! They use 3M products. I like that too. Anthony, the manager, is great. I don't know anything about PPF and tinting. He spent the time to explain to me options. He is not pushy - just giving out information. Couple days after I put in an order, I called Anthony to take out the crystalline tint on the roof from the package. He just did it, adjusted the price and made no attempt to change my mind. I like that too. The entire process was painless. Now, the result. Man, it is incredible. The job is beautiful. When we went back a week later for the check-up, we did find couple imperfections. The fixed that on the spot. When we get home, we foam-wash the car. Water just rolled off. Amazing. We use soft water for the wash. No streaks or stains. Love it. Let me repeat that.... To tint or PPF your car, OC Tinting Solutions is the place to go. This business knows how important customer service is! I requested a quote on their website and they sent it via email, lots of great affordable packages. I was still debating it whether to get the tints now or later, but they sent a follow up email to see if I had any questions and they recommended I take my time to make my decision and that there was no pressure to schedule an appt. That follow up email sold me! I scheduled my appt on a Sunday, the gentleman in the front was kind, patient, and thorough. My car was ready in about 3 hours (5 windows, no windshield) and I am very happy with the tints. There were some bubbles and when I pointed it out to the gentleman, he reassured me that it was normal and it would go away in a day or 2 but if it didn't I could bring the car back and they would re-do it. I had my Tesla Y tinted here a few years ago and was satisfied. My wife recently purchased her CX-90 and got the tint and ceramic coating. Again, job well done. Here is where OC Tint Solutions went above and beyond. I "dinged" my wife's car shortly after getting the coating. By ding, I mean a $3K repair job at the body shop. After surviving her wrath, we got it repaired and brought it back to OC Tint Solutions for to reapply the coating. They did it at no extra charge! They did a great job tinting my 2001 BMW M5, and those with older BMWs know that the edges can be a pain to tint because the dot matrix on the windshield edges are so thick, but they paid extra attention to it, and when I wasn't satisfied went the extra mile to take off the tint not once, but twice to get it to the level that I was happy with, where it was even all around the edge of both front and rear windshield. I was going to get the standard cheapest option but they literally showed me the heat difference with the 3M. I picked up my Cybertruck earlier than expected, and he was able to squeeze me in the next morning with late notice and honored his initial pricing. I ran into an issue with my windows auto rolling down when opening causing a bubble and Jose took me right away Monday and fixed everything, no questions asked. These guys are amazing! My wife was amazing and called them to put privacy tint on some clear glass on our new garage doors and they came out the next day! Not only were they quick and insanely skilled, but the specific glass doors I had installed had silicon on the inside and they came back 3 days later to put on some more black silicon to make sure there were no spots someone could look through.
