We are new to the area and had never been to an SDA church. They are SO welcoming. The Sabbath class before service is amazing. So much knowledge/understanding in one room. Service is very heartfelt. From worship songs to the children's lesson to the very passionate pastor. We have been at the church 3 months. The Pastor (Caesar) helped us from day one. We have never been pushed into membership or felt forced to change or conform. We have been invited to so many vesbers (bible study gatherings) and felt included the moment we started attending. I have been to a lot of churches in a lot of states. This is the most connected group and actually want to grow together people of Christ I have ever been around. If you need/want to see the Holy Spirit working in so many areas or want to be apart of that come see. read more

We went to the Bible study and to the service afterward. The Bible study was disjointed and interrupted every couple of minutes to hand the microphone to the assembly to make comments. I'm a very serious believer and I go to church to dig in to the Bible and LEARN. That was very watered down milk when mature believers need meat. Time is very short before the return of Jesus. It's a disservice to treat believers like babies. Teach a solid lesson, then open it to questions at the end. Picking one line out of the Bible before asking assembly to comment for 5 minutes, then repeating that over and over was the worst. Service was even worse. 40 minutes in to service, they had asked for money for different things 3 times! This was broken up by a couple songs. And still not a word of a message! After 40 minutes of this I thought, "now I will hear from the pastor and learn something!." Nope! Then they gathered the little kids to the front and started teaching a preschool lesson geared to 5 year olds! 15 minutes left in service and we left! I had to look at the flyer to see if they even had pastor there that day. How will you convert and edify true believers? How will you prepare them for the mark of the beast or anything else? I hope they see this and get serious about their role in leading/teaching believers and soon-to-be believers. Every opportunity is important and that was a waste of time read more

It was my first time and I love the overall atmosphere here. It's located on a big lot shared with the Catholic school. A big lot meant big private lot parking. There's also a lot of street parking if you just want to park and zoom your way out after the services. I learned that the church was built in the 18th century and became official parish in 1922. It has the main church where regular masses are held. There's also an adjoining chapel where private masses are held. This was actually where we had the memorial mass. It's feels comfy and intimate. Perfect for such services. The parish priest is very friendly. We were amused when we found out he can speak our native language. We learned that he went to school in the Philippines. It's really amusing to hear a foreigner speak your own language so that's a complete icebreaker. There's also a small social hall where a reception was held after the memorial mass. The parishioners were all hands on in the setup, preparation of foods, entertaining guests, and cleanup. This parish certainly has that small hometown feel which makes you feel at ease.

Large congregation. Very welcoming. Hard to find location but worth driving around to figure it out.read more

My parents have attended this church for the past few years and I always go to church with them when I am home. Pastor Andy is very engaging - his topics are always on point and leaving you wanting more. It's more like having a conversation with a friend. The youth programs, lead by Amanda O., are unique and fulfilling as well. The best thing about this church is the diversity. Each time I attend, I see people of different races, cultures, and lifestyles. Also, you can just come as you are - dressed up or in jeans. Everyone is very friendly but never pushy. This is a down-to-earth church that is about praising God in an atmosphere that accepts everyone. The only thing I have to warn you about is signing in as a visitor. They will mention your name at the beginning of the service and have you stand up. The only reason for this is so that the other members can greet you make you feel welcome. However, I always skip signing in because I'm shy! If you are looking for a new church family in Ocala, or a place to worship when you are in town, please consider FKPC. You'll be glad you did.
