It hurt to walk, stand and sit. After a painful weekend I went to a chiropractor. They gave me the wrong diagnosis and recommended several visits a week for 5 months, at ridiculous prices, even though their adjustments barely worked. After two visits I just quit and went looking for another chiropractor. That's when I discovered Prestige Chiropractic and started feeling better by the second session. The difference was like night and day! Dr. Pauley is also the most honest chiropractor, and it shows. He doesn't recommend useless treatments and an excessive number of visits just to get your money. He gets straight to the point, and focuses on the issue you're dealing with. He treats the root cause of your pain, not just the symptoms. He had me bring in my latest ex-rays, went over my medical history and back surgeries and explained in (laymen) detail his suggestions for adjustments to not only help with the temporary issues from lifting, but also a more sustained adjustment regimen for a more preventative maintenance approach, all tailored around my spinal fusion and my comfort level. Two years later, I have a standing monthly appointment with Dr. Pauley, I'm constantly learning new traction/tack&floss/stretching techniques from him (aka he stays current in his trade), and when I do need to adjust my appointment, he's always amenable, responds quickly. Dr. Pauley works with quite a few insurance companies, and also has competitive prices for those who choose not to use insurance, or their visits are no longer covered. Dr. Jerry and Dr. Scott are very personable and remember small details about me despite their large amount of patients. I'm surprised there aren't more reviews for them since they have a lot of regular patients who seem as happy as me. As far as adjustments go, I can't speak to it on my back injury because I didn't see them during flare ups during pregnancy but Dr. Jerry was able to address my wrist pain postpartum. But then again, maybe I didn't have flare ups because I was seeing them regularly. During the last trimester of my pregnancy they kept baby happy and healthy in the belly and made sure she was in the proper position for delivery. They also adjusted my daughter when she was a week old because she wasn't turning her head to the right and she's doing great! They've been extremely patient with me as a new mom oversleeping and needing to reschedule my appointments and I am very grateful for that! I provided my attorney information to the office and was under the impression that they were already in contact but the later find there was no affiliation. My trust was completely lost. I've been going to the correct practice which has a similar name and I've felt 1000% better with only 4 visits after being in terrible pain and trouble walking. last visit to Active Family Wellness I expressed that I was in pain and I mentioned to the office manager that I was in too much pain and I wanted to skip the tense pressure before the adjustment and I was told "You have to do it". which was so painful it brought me to tears and I didn't feel any better. Additional I was made to sign paperwork agreeing to pay a detailed breakdown of the when I have health insurance which I was completely caught of guard by. How can I know what the projected cost be for medical treatment? What ICD coding would be used for long term treatment?
