But one day after a heavy lift at crossfit, I asked Dr. Pauley - who crossfits with me - for stretching ideas, and he convinced me to come in for a consultation. I'm really glad I did. He had me bring in my latest ex-rays, went over my medical history and back surgeries and explained in (laymen) detail his suggestions for adjustments to not only help with the temporary issues from lifting, but also a more sustained adjustment regimen for a more preventative maintenance approach, all tailored around my spinal fusion and my comfort level. Two years later, I have a standing monthly appointment with Dr. Pauley, I'm constantly learning new traction/tack&floss/stretching techniques from him (aka he stays current in his trade), and when I do need to adjust my appointment, he's always amenable, responds quickly. Dr. Pauley works with quite a few insurance companies, and also has competitive prices for those who choose not to use insurance, or their visits are no longer covered. Prestige Chiropractic has also expanded its survives to include massage therapy, which I definitely recommend before you get adjusted.

I was referred to this office by VA for help with my lower back. When I arrived, the staff at the…read morefront desk were friendly and allowed me ample time to complete the paperwork without any pressure (I am someone who actually reads the paperwork before signing). They also reacted positively to my attempts at humor and were pleasant throughout my visit. They appeared to have no issues understanding how to process paperwork with the VA (unlike some urgent care clinics that try to charge me when they should not). Although the x-ray didn't want to work for me for some reason, I was quickly seen, evaluated, and given some helpful treatment. They used the electrical pulse therapy with an ice-pack and did a couple of adjustments that were painless and surprisingly helpful. I didn't realize how the adjustments could help while he performed them but they did. Finally, I got to perform "an adjustment" on the chiropractor (I po​pped his back). I apparently did a good job and he even mentioned that I provided "an adjustment" for him. Maybe I should look into learning more about chiropractic science. O​ther than the odd situation with the x-ray, all went well and I do feel better.
