There's something to be said for a boardwalk in Ocean City is very nice. I wish it would stay open later though cause we would've spent more money but like everything else it seems like it closes down way too early. Plenty of stuff to grab eat try sample and enjoy just leave before a certain time because you will be stuck

October 2024 - Great place to explore & walk off season during the day & night. We enjoyed our time here and can't wait to visit again. No crowds, no traffic, and great weather during the autumn season. We spent our time just walking and doing night photography.

Everything was overpriced for the most part which was a shame during the music festival and some places like Pollock Johnny the lady was proud of it and would tell people "that's festival prices!!" It's like lady you guys aren't the festival you control the price it's insane to charge $27 for a couple sodas and a hot dog I wish the boardwalk had more variety too because it was like the same 3-4 businesses ofer and over literally if you saw one business you'd see same one with same name just 4 businesses away Some places like dumsers and dolle's kept their prices fair and right

( this review is from this summer) Dating back to 1902, this storied wooden walkway is known for its eateries, shops & carnival rides. It's a beautiful broad-walk full of nice dining, snacks, arcades, rides, and a stunning beach. There's nothing like taking a walk on the beach or even. Road-walk with the person you love.

This will always and forever be my favorite boardwalk. I grew up Coming to vacation here every summer with my family and the memories will never end. It was a pleasure walking the secluded freezing boardwalk today and actually seeing it in all its glory. So many memories have Been made here for so many people. Rides, shops, food, entertainment...possibilities are endless This is what summer dreams and growing up are made up!

So I don't rate the boardwalk as a business. I mean every other block you're getting the same three vendors over and over. I understand that but it would be nice if there were a few decent stand alones in the main area. (I don't always want a dive bar meal or something from dough rollers). I like people watching and I love the ocean so I could have walked around and sat all day. I grew up around Daytona. It's exactly what you expect it to be. Mini golf, arcades, tourist shops, beach/fair food, dive bars, and a pier amusement park with Ripley's. Our biggest issue not having been here before was understanding where we could park.

Ocean City Beach & Boardwalk The Ocean City Boardwalk is three miles long and lined with hotels, restaurants, bars, shops and amusements. The award-winning boardwalk is home to amazing hotels, fabulous restaurants, and attractions befitting a world-class seaside resort.  Ocean City has a traditional boardwalk, with games, rides and barkers right alongside the kinds of sweets and salts you'd expect. Boardwalk fries, soft-serve ice cream, and popcorn, combine in the air to add to your memories of walking along the boards enjoying the afternoon and exploring the area. 698 N Atlantic Ave, Ocean City, MD 21842 3 miles long boardwalk Public Restrooms are available close to different entrances on boardwalk. the boardwalk are accessible for both strollers and wheelchairs Free daily parking is available in the Ocean City Convention Center parking lot 39th street, but not overnight parking. Beach & Boardwalk Guidelines: Beach chairs are available at first come first serve NO alcoholic beverages or containers on the beach NO bonfires without permits from Fire Marshall's office NO dogs between May 1st - Sept 30 NO sleeping on the beach 10PM - 6AM Bike Riding permitted on boardwalk from Memorial Day to Labor Day: 6AM-10AM, Labor Day to Sept 30: 6AM-4PM Weekdays, 6AM-10AM Weekends. NO Skateboarding on boardwalk ℹ more information from the website: https://www.oceancity.md and more details in https://www.beach-net.com A short history of Ocean City: According to legend, Ocean City began its path towards becoming a resort in 1869 when Isaac Coffin built the first cottage on the beach to have paying guests. In 1933, a severe storm formed what is now the Inlet. Engineers decided this inlet would make for easy acces to fishing in the Atlantic Ocean, and they decided to make the south end inlet of Ocean City permanent. Due to surf and wind, the island is gradually moving westward, and if nature has its way, in hundreds of years, Ocean City will no longer be an island but will instead be connected to the mainland. Throughout the 70's, Ocean City flourished with more than 10,000 condominiums built. Ocean City has changed a great deal in the 130 years since Isaac Coffin opened his first cottage. the one thing that hasn't changed is the main attraction of Ocean City. #oceancity #oceancitymaryland #oceancitymd #visitoceancity #oceancitybeach #worchestercountymd #visitmaryland #preservefootprints

Every town has its highlight attraction. The boardwalk, at 2.45 miles long and named Atlantic Avenue, is the star of Ocean City, MD. PARKING: There are numerous metered lots and on-street options along the entire boardwalk. EXPERIENCE: We were here on a Thursday afternoon in July around 3pm and it wasn't super crowded at all. No entry fee. The southern most part starts with a peaceful view of an inlet, Harrison's restaurant and OC Life-Saving Museum. The fun then starts with Trimper's Rides that has carnival-style rides, a looping & reversible rollercoaster, arcade, haunted house and a mirror maze to name a few. Jolly Roger Park is the skyline of the boardwalk, towering over everything with a Ferris wheel, rides and rollercoaster. A long pier jets out further into the Atlantic. A Ripley's BION is also here. From here north it's a monotonous mix of eateries (pizza, ice cream, funnel cake, fries and the like), a few bars, arcades, restaurants (including a Hooters), condos/hotels and tacky apparel shopping. A wide, long beach with volleyball courts and free restrooms parallels the boardwalk. TIPS: If you don't want to walk, a $4/person hop-on, hop-off service is available on the boardwalk. Wave down the driver at the front then pay the person at the back of the vehicle (exact cash or cards taken). Bicycle rentals and beach activities/entertainment are available at certain times of the year. Be sure to check the side streets off the boardwalk for more snack & dining options. We had good pizza and corn dog at Pizza Boy. OVERALL: Like Bourbon Street, once is enough for me. I thought there'd be more seafood stand options being that we were at the ocean's edge, not just carnival cuisine. Clean facilities, lots of benches and trash cans and well-maintained.

A must visit spot in ocean city . Boardwalk is a happening place . Lots of activities for kids and adults .. lots of shopping , magic shows , kids games , restaurants , bars etc . Beach volleyball is quite common here . Love this beach . Parking is a bit crazy but we got it 5 mins away from boardwalk. You can spend atleast 5-8 hours here . Overall a very good place .. even though it's expensive , it's a must visit attraction when in ocean city ...

While on a family trip to Ocean City in July we went over to check out the boardwalk. There was limited free parking so we utilized paid parking a few blocks away. The boardwalk is very long. Much longer than the boardwalks at Coney Island (NY) or Santa Cruz (CA). There are a lot of places to get something to eat and drink and a number of arcades. There are also a lot of shops to buy items but some of them were selling clothing items with quasi-obscene references. I am usually quite liberal when it comes to questionable content but this stuff crossed the line for a family focused attraction. There is an area with rides plus a pier (which costs $1) if you want to walk out on. I paid the $1 just to take in the view and take some pictures but I would never do it again. Most of the people on the pier were fishing, Also there were lots of locks along the fence that people put there to commemorate special moments. The boardwalk was very clean and well maintained. Overall this is a great place to go and hang out even if you don't spend time on the beach.

This is a popular spot for locals. It's boardwalk is a little over 2 miles long and includes your typical boardwalk food (funnel cake, fried oreo, ice cream, etc) as well as clothing shops. The beach is very extensive too. You can get in the water and there are lifeguards. A lot of independent artists/vendors like to come here to perform and sell their goods. The beach is not the cleanest compared to other nearby beaches but it is the combination of the beach and the boardwalk that makes this a hot spot. There are some outdoor 'showers' every few blocks that you can use to rinse off. At one end of the boardwalk is a mini carnival. There are some rides including a ferris wheel, haunted house, the type that flips you upside down, small prize booths, etc. They give you a card that you can load up, which I was a fan of verses tickets. The balance on the card doesn't expire so you can hold on to it until you want to come back again. The ride costs isn't too bad. Rides are between $1-4. There is no entrance fee. So you just need to pay for the street parking that you find. There are also some metered lots on almost every block. Overall: a fun family, tourist spot with repeat value. If you don't want to

Very nice place to rest and watch the ocean. + convenient parking + a lot of places to find some food - most of the food options is American cuisine, which is fried everything. Not healthy and not tasty. Hope to see some diversity in the food in the future.

Now this the way to do a boardwalk! Wide, clean, wooden boards, lots of benches, and super long. They even have posts indicating which cross street you are at. There's a firefighter statue and set of flags near the restrooms. The whole boardwalk is well lit, you fee very safe, and people respect each other. Most folks were wearing the mandatory masks during the pandemic.

While not positioned as organic, the food reflects authentic Italian execution. The pizza stands out: a light, well-fermented airy crust, balanced and refined sauce, and thoughtfully curated toppings. The menu offers elevated, gourmet combinations without being overworked. Desserts are made in-house and well executed. The flourless cake, in particular, is rich without being heavy. We ordered our food and sat at a table waiting. It's a busy place with a lot of food options. Orders are placed, paid for and picked up at the register. Ordered an antipasto which was large enough for 2 (or eat it for 2 meals). Dressing was a herbaceous fresh vinegrette with fresh greens, red and green peppers, olives beautiful swirls of meats and cheese all piled high. SO ordered a steak sandwich which also was enjoyed as a second meal. Parking can be problematic, staff were very good, food was very good. Venue is a quick pick up place with no actual Italian ambiance other than pictures of the food. Ambiance is outside with the bay on one side and the ocean on the other. Pizza can also be ordered with different size options. Staff will even give you paper plates and plastic utensils if you need then.

Calamari as an appetizer- ohhhh So good. Very light and crispy, not dense or big clumps of calamari. Sauce was spot on. Slight pepper taste to it. They had a special tonight- ossobuco (pork shank) tomato sauce and gnocchi which the mrs had- and so did four others near us. The pork was so tender and fell off the bone, very very good. I was highly encouraged to have the chicken parm. Not sure how the hell they found a chicken that big for the portion I received. Outstanding. Lightly breaded, juicy, very nice sauce and goobs of cheesy goodness.. how any human could eat this in one sitting is beyond me. We have amble leftovers for tomorrow. Mrs got cannolis to go.
