Our first and not our last stay at the Courtyard. Location was perfect. Staff from the front desk…read morereceptionists to Savannah in the restaurant were all very nice. I requested late checkout when we checked in as a Bonvoy Gold member and it was honored which helped us to enjoy our last sunny day there. Location: Fantastic. On the boardwalk at 15th street with excellent view of the beach. In the ocean front room, we could hear the waves inside the room with the door open. Nice to sit on the balcony to watch the people and the ocean. Rooms: Recently remodeled, the rooms are modern, clean, and fresh feeling. Bed was comfortable. Microwave, refrigerator (no freezer), flat round coffee filter coffeemaker in the room, desk/chair, small couch that pulls out to a bed (can fit 2 people on the couch), footstool. Small balcony with two chairs. Some shade from balcony above. It would have been nice to have had a small table. Sliding door with screen. Blackout curtains. Our room was on the 3rd floor at the end. Amenities: - Outdoor pool across the streets. No umbrellas. Indoor pool with small "hot tub" that was the same temperature as the pool since it flowed into the pool. Water felt cool to me. Most times, families with small children were in the pool playing. Open 10 am - 10 pm. Small towels available by indoor pool. - Lobby had free, good coffee and tea from 7 am - 12 pm. Restaurant: - Captains Table restaurant open for breakfast (7:30 am - 11 am every day) and dinner (Sunday - Thursday, 4 - 9 pm, Fri & Sat 4 pm - 10 pm). We ate dinner, and the food was good. Savannah our waitress was very nice and helpful with getting more Bailey's added to my chocolate martini and giving us tips on where to go. - Small gym with weights, treadmill, bike. Things to Note: - $10/day parking. Garage is located under the hotel which is nice if it rains. - Lobby is upstairs on the 3rd floor - take the elevator or two staircases. - 3rd floor, lobby level is above the lowest rooms. See tips on ground floor rooms.

It was after midnight when I noticed this and I called down to the front desk for housekeeping to help but nobody was at the front desk. I went down to the front desk, and needed and looked for somebody for 10 minutes and nobody was around so called the main number for Marriott and was finally able to get through to the hotel receptionist who came out but was unable to provide anything other than a clean towel. I told him the least I needed was disinfected so I could clean the bathroom myself and after 15 minutes he brought some up to the room . I'm an ambassador Elite with Marriott and use points for the hotel so I certainly wasn't looking for room credits or anything else other than a basic apology but the manager never bothered to call or Reach Out and wow there's no excuse for a bloody towel which is an obvious health hazard to be hanging from my bathroom door without even an apology. This experience makes me consider boycotting Marriotts as a whole

The pools were noticeably dirty and often had hair floating in them, which made them unappealing to use. The rooms also did not seem to be properly maintained during our stay. Housekeeping only serviced our room on the first day, and after that we had to repeatedly request fresh towels and toilet paper each day. We stayed in Room 405, and every morning at approximately 6:00 AM we were awakened by garbage trucks emptying the dumpsters located directly beneath our window. If you're hoping for a relaxing vacation and plan to sleep in, this room location is something to be aware of. The balcony could also use some attention and updating, as it appeared worn and in need of a refresh. There were a couple of positives worth mentioning. The location of the hotel is excellent and made it easy to enjoy Ocean City attractions, restaurants, and the beach. Additionally, The Hook Up restaurant located on the second floor was convenient to grab an after dinner cocktail or a quick bite to eat. Food was great! While the location was great, the cleanliness issues, lack of housekeeping service, and early morning noise made this stay fall short of expectations. We will not be visiting again.

Although we were never accused of causing any disturbance or violating any hotel policy, security attempted to evict our family in the middle of the night while our two young children were asleep. Despite repeatedly explaining that we had no involvement in the incident that occurred in a neighboring room, we were given no meaningful explanation for why we were being removed. The Head of Security refused to identify himself, and we were simply told that the hotel could evict anyone it wanted. That experience was humiliating, frightening, and left us questioning why our family had been singled out. To make matters worse, the hotel had numerous cleanliness and maintenance issues that should have been addressed before guests were ever checked in. Instead of focusing on those problems, management chose to subject our family to unnecessary stress during what was supposed to be a vacation. I cannot say with certainty why we were treated the way we were, but based on everything that occurred, we left with the genuine belief that we had been racially profiled. No family should have to experience the fear, confusion, and embarrassment that we did, especially when they had done nothing wrong. I hope the hotel conducts a thorough investigation into this incident and implements meaningful changes so that no other family has to endure what ours did.

Unfortunately, my check-in experience was a complete disappointment -- in fact, a disaster. Upon arrival, I informed the front desk that I had a **service animal** with me. The first two questions the front desk agent asked were: 1. *What is your medical condition?* 2. *Can you show your service animal's credentials?* Both questions are **clear violations of Marriott policy and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)**, which only allow staff to ask: - Is the service animal required because of a disability? - What work or task has the animal been trained to perform? As I was gathering my thoughts to respond appropriately, an **Assistant General Manager** approached in an **unprofessional and aggressive** manner, escalating the situation instead of resolving it. In my 35 years of staying at Marriott properties, I have never been treated in such a **rude, condescending, and hostile** way. When I asked questions about Marriott's policy, his response was, *"You live in Bethesda, go to the headquarters and ask yourself."* He also said, *"I'm not going back and forth with you, and you can leave the property with no refund."* His tone and behavior created a **hostile environment**, which was especially distressing given my recent medical recovery. I contacted **Marriott Customer Care** to open a case but was told that any case would be routed back to the property's management. To avoid potential retaliation during my stay, I decided to wait until check-out to report the incident formally. This experience left me extremely disappointed and disheartened. Marriott has always been my preferred hotel brand, but the management at this property failed to uphold the company's values of respect, inclusivity, and guest care. **Recommendation:** I strongly advise travelers with disabilities or service animals to avoid this property until management undergoes proper **ADA compliance and customer service training**.

When i arrived…read moreto this hotel I asked the hotel front desk staff, very nice young man Victor to Cancel my reservation due to false advertisement on the website. He told me that the charges had not gone through but to contact the manger tomorrow. As a Marriott platinum member I then contacted the Bonvoy loyalty program to inform the of my reservation complaint. At this that time the Bonvoy customer agent said they would open a case which they did to make sure if the charges were applied I would be refunded. The very next day I contacted Fairfield Inn front desk and was informed I would be refunded by a very nice lady whom name I didn't get but this took place 8 March 2025 at 2:40. The conversation went well and we hung up. The very next day 9 March 2025 at 1:54, I received a harassing phone call from a Chad saying that the charges would be applied to my credit card because they gave me complementary upgrade to my room and then I canceled. I explained to Chad I never got an upgrade because I never checked in, I only walked in and saw no water near the property so I asked to have my reservation canceled by the front desk which took place. I also explained to him that as a platinum Bonvoy member I was already eligible for a enhanced room upgrade and they were only at 30 percent occupancy since this is Ocean City off season, so they had not given me anything I was not eligible to receive. But the most important point I made to him was I never even checked in to any room. I also stated I left his hotel and checked into another Marroitt hotel, The Courtyard Ocean City which actually is steps away from water fun. He again started to lecture me stating since I open the case he had charged my credit for the cancellation reservation fees. At that point I told him I would report it as a fraudulent charge since I had just received a call the day prior stating the cancellation fee would not be charged. When we hung up I called Bonvoy and open another case, about the new conversation with Chad. The Bonvoy representative at this time told me Chad lied in his notes to Bonvoy saying I was a no show for my reservation and that's why they wanted to charge me. As the representative and I spoke he could see from phone records that I had been to the hotel Fairfield on that Friday 7 March. The case has been escalated to a Bonvoy loyalty manger. I would not stay at the Fairfield inn & suites ocean city because Chad had no loyalty or integrity towards a loyal customer who has supported all Marriott hotels for over 40 years.

The hot cookies were amazing and made check in nice lol The balcony was big enough and great views for a partial view but close when your neighbor is out on there balcony and smoking makes it so you don't want to be out there any. Plus late one night they were out smoking and you could hear their conversation from your bed while trying to sleep. One issue we had was at 5:30am the one morning the Hilton next door may have been doing renovations and a truck came to empty/pick up the flatbed dumpsters and of course that was extremely loud and woke us up. And it didn't stop there. Tons of deliveries until atleast 7:30am with the trucks backing up and constantly beeping. Again it's not the hotels fault but that made the whole day for us just miserable to the point we left that evening so we knew we could get a good nights sleep. It would just be nice if deliveries could start at the earliest 7am and I get it's off season but they should be respecting people who are there vacationing and still spending good money. I just know in the future to book an ocean front room hoping that won't wake us up again.
