I always wanted to stay on a boat (smaller than a ship), a bucket list item. They come up on searches and many look suspiciously dirty. The the Shangrila came up on my search and I said why not. It was the cheapest and surely not the most expensive. But, we were pleasantly surprised with the accommodations and the cleanliness. It was ready for everything fully stocked in the kitchen including a dishwasher. Kudos whoever choose the bedding. What a great nights sleep!! What kind of pillows are on the bed!!!! (Forgot to look). Convenient restaurant with amazing key lime pie! Only feedback is there was a problem with our third party booking site getting the information to us the check-in, as there is no one there. Easy call to the staff taken care of in less than 5 minutes. Remove dead plants, also, people sailing through don't always follow "no wake" rules!! Only in the day did we experience that and not that often. This is a new favorite thing to do!!! We plan on returning!

Buyer beware! I had a five night stay booked at this property in one of the townhomes. When I…read morearrived, I immediately realized that the home was not as clean as it should have been. The furniture was grossly stained, the bed in the master bedroom was so rickety that even a small amount of pressure caused the whole thing to sway, Lightbulbs were blinking in the master bathroom, and dead bugs were on the floor. I immediately called their guest services number and spoke with a gentleman who was actually quite helpful and compassionate about the situation. I sent them the same photos. I have posted below, and they agreed that the property should not have been in that condition. They offered to show me a Condo which was smaller as an alternative. When we toured it prior to deciding if we would stay or not, we saw the same issues with gross stains on the furniture, and gooey smudges on the wall. We refuse to accept that as an alternative, as it was not at all an improvement. Their final attempt at providing a solution was at a newer property, which was nice in terms of its condition, but it was farther away from where we needed to stay making the drive inconvenient for us. It was also a two bedroom apartment when we had five people and two dogs on our booking. Because I booked through hotels.com, the property refused to work with me directly on the issues and told me it had to go through the booking agent. I requested a refund through hotels.com on Sunday, and it was not until Thursday that the property even bothered to reply and offered a 25% refund for a trip that I never even took. Their customer service agents are like gatekeepers and refused to allow you to speak to upper management. They only divert you back to hotels.com, which I understand from a policy perspective, but from a customer service perspective, it leaves much to be desired. I believe that because they offered me options, none of which were good ones, they believe they did not need to provide me with a refund. Just know that if you choose to book here, that if something goes wrong, you will likely not be compensated. We did not stay a single night and left within hours of checking in. They still believe a refund was not needed. Find anywhere else to stay but here.

I had an enjoyable day last Saturday out on the ocean in the sunshine and fresh sea air. I am just…read morestarting to learn how to deep sea fish and this was my second trip of this type. It was just as good as the first one. The chow was slightly better than the last trip, but this day trip was more expensive. I HAD A GOOD TIME. So here is what it costs: 1 Adult: $118 (Full Day trip from 8AM to 5PM) And here is what you get: Breakfast & Lunch Unlimited Soda Use of a standard Rod & Reel with Tackle Fishing License for the day Free Parking Dead Sardine and Squid Bait provided This boat is smaller than my last trip, so there is a lot more rocking! I did not see many fish caught. It seemed that everyone fed a lot of bait to the fish. The fish are very adept at nibbling and stealing the bait without taking the hook. I did get one good strike and played it for about 20 seconds, but the line snapped and whatever it was took the bait and the hook. I could complain that I did not catch a fish to take home and eat, but I will not. This is called "fishing", not "catching". It is not a sure thing to bring home anything. Big fish don't get big by being stupid! I simply enjoyed my time at sea VERY MUCH. The CREW was EXEMPLARY. VERY PATIENT and EXPERIENCED. They are masters at untangling crossed fishing lines. They also provided valuable information on how to properly handle and secure your hook, as well as how to properly bait the hook. The GALLEY CHEF provided SIMPLE FOOD that was TASTY and SATISFYING. Be sure to tip them well. I also met many nice people on the boat from all walks of life and enjoyed talking to them!

Ready we moved every 8 to 10 minutes mad to top it all off all he did was go in a big circle so we would think we were moving!! Again ten times and only once caught any decent fish. And before you fall for all the wonderful pictures of catches the crew and their friends caught the fish because they brought their own shrimp on and didn't use the frozen fish we had to. Please Obsession dont answer because it's always the same bull!!! Oh we had a great day YESTERDAY it's always YESTERDAY !!!!!

My buddy and I wanted to fly down to Florida and do some fishing and a friend of a friend…read morerecommended these guys, so even though we were staying in Daytona we made the 90m drive down at 5am to fish with Fired Up. We had horrible weather that cut our trip short, and the fish just started biting right when it was time to leave, but I do not hold that against them as they can't control nature. We did catch our limit of kings, couple Atlantic sharpnose sharks, and three remora. Lost two kings. We went out with Captian Zach on the Under Fire. He was a cool dude who found us some big fish and kept us out longer than all the other captains due to the rough seas and incoming weather. I'd definitely fish with him again. For anyone wondering how to fly their fish home, it's pretty easy. Publix down here sells dry ice for about $1.50/lbs. You can have a max of 5.5lbs of dry ice in your checked luggage, no "water" ice allowed. Buy a $7 styrofoam cooler from the marina, put your fish in it with the dry ice on top, fill with bubble wrap so it doesn't move, tape the cooler shut and then wrap with bubble wrap, pop a "vent hole" through the bubble wrap and cooler, then throw it in a box and tape it shut, and put a note on the box that says "Contains Dry Ice" and TSA will let you check it with any airline. I looked and looked for a business that would vacuum seal our fish and freeze it, and pack it for us to fly home and I couldn't find one. Captain Zach was happy to fillet our fish for us which was awesome and convenient. I'd have paid extra if Fired Up would buy a company vacuum sealer and let the captains seal it up in two pound portions hint hint ;-) Fish keeps so much longer in vacuum bags not that this is gonna last very long as we will eat it fast. We will definitely be back for more fishing in the future.

When Chris answered the phone, he didn't have anything, but shortly called and told us he could get us in that evening. Our kids were beyond excited (2- 11 year olds and a 17 year old). The email instructions were great, parking was easy, and the tour itself was beautiful. Our guide Nate provided the safety gear we needed and the boards were in great condition, very stable and comfortable to use. My favorite part of the tour was how much cool information our guide had to share with us about the local ecosystem and the best way for us to see the most bioluminescence. I was on the early launch, so it took maybe 25 minutes to really start seeing them show up, but then they were incredibly brilliant and beautiful! I will definitely be booking again and sharing this experience with more people.

We went with Paddle in Paradise in April 2025 to chase bioluminescence--even though peak season is June to September--and let me tell you, we got lucky. The water lit up like a glow stick at a rave, and the wildlife came through like they were booked for the show. Our guide was packed with knowledge, jokes, and cool facts that made the whole thing feel like part science class, part night-time fairy tale. 8 PM group was perfect timing--the sky was still glowing when we launched, then shifted into full cosmic vibes as the darkness set in. If you've got a friend visiting and you want to wow them without needing roller coasters or bar tabs, this is it. Peaceful, trippy, and oddly emotional in the best way. Definitely doing it again when the season peaks, but April was already incredible. Pro tip: Bring snacks for the drive back. You'll be spiritually fulfilled but physically starving.
