I cruised out of Port Canavaral twice in three weeks on the Norwegian Prima with very mixed…read moreembarkation and debarkation experiences. Embarkation was mid April for the first cruise and it was seamless. Got to the port around 10:30 am on Sunday. It was a little hectic getting out of the car, but once I had my bags in hand and b-lined to the boarding que, it was smooth sailing. The line wasn't long and I was on the ship in less than 20 minutes. Debarkation was just as smooth. I got in a short line with my bag in hand and walked off the ship in about the same 20 minutes. Getting through customs was a breeze with the facial recognition devices they have. Fast forward to the 2nd week in May. Same port, same ship, different Sunday. I arrived this time at 11:30 am. Embarkation was at another dock. The lines were super long, stood outside in line for about 45 minutes and it was pretty hot. Luckily there was some covering overhead. Still, that line was awful. Once I got inside it was about another 30 minutes to get through the inside que, at least it was air conditioned. And getting off the ship was fairly fast, but then we had to wait outside for about an hour for the shuttle. Not sure what the difference was, because both times the ship was just as crowded. Suffice to say the 2nd experience was awful and what made it more awful was having that great first experience. Showed up to the second cruise with very high expectations. I was thoroughly disappointed. For both cruises, once I was on the ship, the experience was fantastic. Norwegian has a great drink package if you are a drinker. The food is on par with any 4 star restaurants, and that is the free food at the dining halls. There is also specialty dining which is superb. On the Prima between the 2 cruises, I ate twice at the steakhouse, Magnets. Each time I got the ribeye and it didn't disappoint. I ate twice at the French restaurant, Le Bistro. Had the rack of lamb and a sole dish on the subsequent visit. Wow! Also had the mushroom soup and escagot on both visits. Yum and yum. Also got to eat at the sushi restaurant and the Mexican restaurant. The Mexican was really disappointing. Loved everything about the Prima. All total, I have been on that same ship 4 times. Just a final note, the best bartenders on the whole ship are Kasi from St Croix and Sunshine. In my opinion Kasi is the best bartender at NCL hands down. And that is saying a whole lot because the bar staff is on average 4 stars.

Terrible food 1 small pool on the ship 1 small jacuzzi Slow elevators No physical activities for teens/kids The only activities they did have were go karts and an arcade and both charged. I have active sons who just literally walked around the ship. Overall we loved our excursions and the opportunity to spend time together but the Norwegian Joy was not good!

First cruise ever and it was on Radiance of the Seas, 10/10 relaxation, 7/10 food, 10/10 staff…read more Radiance is a smaller ship, but it was perfect to get the cruise feel without the extra amount of people. The entertainment was not the best, there were a few things that i did enjoy like the Love and Marriage game, but they had a comedian on board that was not funny at all lol I really wanted to play bingo, but it was so expensive. I do not recommend any on board experience like the spa, my partner got a facial and she was not impressed. My main issue is the desserts were not named correctly lol all of their desserts were terrible, either pudding base or dry white cake base and named "crème brûlée" or "tres leches" Overall, I had so much fun, I booked my next cruise with Royal already.

We have sailed on one sailing in 2026 so far and have three more booked and more we are looking at. We started cruising with our blended family of four kids about 25 years ago as it was the best way to see lots of places, something to do for everyone and parents actually get to relax too. We started out on Disney Cruise Lines but once the kids became preteens, we moved over to RCCL, for their age group. We did go on one Disney cruise last year just to compare with one of our grandchildren and her parents and we all agree RCCL is still the best option for everyone. I love that we can now get on the newer and bigger ships out of Port Canaveral as we live in Northeast Florida. The service, the amenities, the ships, the various things to do make RCCL the best in our opinion. We do tend to dine in the speciality restaurants as the food in the main dining room is not great, but again there are so many food options you can't possibly be hungry ever. The shows are great, the music is great, the atmosphere is great. We are loyal to Royal!

I had the most fabulous time sailing on the Wonder of the Seas last week!…read more I have a friend working on the ship, so my friend and I decided to sail. There was an itinerary change due to the hurricane, but they offered credits and made the most of the situation we were in! We ate at a lot of the different restaurants, checked out the different bars, watched the mainstage shows, enjoyed the pools and more! This ship is huge and there is so much to do. Even with 4 sea days, we still didn't get to do everything. My favorite meal was 150 Central Park and it was definitely worth the upcharge. The signature cocktail was amazing and I loved all the food I tried (pumpkin bisque, scallop app, halibut, fried cheesecake). We also ate at Hook, which was fabulous, especially if you love seafood like me! The shows on this ship are incredible! The Effectors II has some of the best effects I've ever seen in a musical. The bands and specialty acts are amazing! We also loved the water show. Overall, I would definitely recommend this ship for a family trip, girls trip, couples trip... all of the above! We had the best time and I look forward to sailing with Royal again!
