They are playing with peoples health. I've been patient. There is a federal law that states that they must give you your records within thirty days with written notice. There should be some common curtesy to keep things simple as they would expect the same for a new patient of theirs. Its all good, I'm writing the letter and hand delivering it today. I should not have to do this. Their billing system is from the 80s. Follow-up: I did go in person to get my records, they were very nice and got them for me. I did get the manager/records person has been out sick excuse, but I was very patient and called several times over several weeks. They weren't sure if the extension x212 was even valid (this is where the voice menu puts you). Another thing I'm kind of upset about is that my doctor left. So apparently my appointment was cancelled. I was not informed of this. No one from the office attempted to call me. They have documentation that I hit my out of pocket maximum months ago, yet charged me a copayment and will not refund it immediately. Instead of admitting their mistake and reversing the charge, I was hung up on by Melissa who seemed to not understand the difference between a deductible and out of pocket maximum even after the insurance company called and spoke to them multiple times. A gentleman who works in the office couldn't seem to tell the difference between the agreed payment between the facility and the insurance company and my out of pocket maximum. This is basic stuff people working at a medical office should know. This is scary.

The place is beautiful, clean and with COVID-19 preventative measures in place. The intake was extensive. I got to keep the clean pen they offered me. The assistant then started with my eye measurements, dilation, etc. I then waited in a second smaller waiting room, also spotless. I had a conversation with a lady who was there for her final check-up of her cataract surgery to one eye and told me how pleased she was with the doctor. The doctor examined both my eyes, reassured me it was nothing serious - turns out it was allergies, explained things very well and was very polite and courteous.
