I wasn't prepared to pay them 350.00 but I did. after the exam I asked the doctor about my macular denigration. he said I didn't have it. I asked him if it was could stop taking the meds that pretty much stop the progression he said yes. the next visit the technician told me I had macular generation and to keep taking he meds. this doctor would have completely missed it if I hadn't have told him. from there it all went down hill..several people came in and talked to me--ya know like they do in used car lots -that s what it seemed like to me. at last "the closer was brought in." and I was already feeling something was off and I asked her..do I need to take a trqnqulizler to hear this? SHE GAVE ME A CONFIDENT NO..well it turns out tthis would have cost me $6,000.00 out o;f my own pocket. I guess that chump change to little missy here...I was pissed that it cost me $350.00 just to find out the price of the procedure. I admit. there's no way to be exact..but dont try and tele the doctor doesn't know how much he charges for his own fees and don't tell me he doesn't know the cost of the lenses...ALL OF WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION PRIOR TO ANYTHING...I was pissed cause I felt like it was like a bait and switch..you've already invested 350 bucks of your own money and now..either your out that money or you fell you have no choice but to proceed..I find this highly immoral and unethical. ofcouse the doctor doesn't..and neither does the medical community..there are a lot of things you know the price of and the patient should be informed prior to investing money into it. Too many other optometrists to go to for them to try imposing that. I get that they have a practice to run, but things sometimes happen that are out of your control. They don't care about that.

We came here for our first eye exam in years.... When we walked in, we noticed the place to be very…read moreclean. Not even a garbage can is seen in the open. The front desk customer service rep greeted us with a smile. We were told to fill out paperwork which was only a page and then our glasses were taken away from us. That was a first experience for me. We then sat back down until we were taken to get our pressure checked in our eyes then taken into meet the doctor in her officer for another examination. Doctor was very nice. Dilated my eyes which I'm not a fan of then paid the extra 40 dollars to do the contact examination. Figure haven't done one ever or not in the last god knows how long. We ended up buying a new pair of glasses with blue blocker and anti-glare. Workers seemed nice overall. We'll be back.

I quote a previous review from Alan D..... "fraudulent practices Mark is like a used car salesman! Disuades you from using your insurance and then bills them anyway!" This is exactly what happened to me. What's more, I let it happen. Perhaps as I walked in, I was zapped with the infamous "Martian Stupid Ray." Seriously though, after coming home I couldn't believe what I had just done. It was very unlike me. It was a dreary, rainy, and tiring day. I'm sure this contributed to my judgement, or lack there of. I paid $592.00 for a pair of eyeglasses... more than I've ever paid in the past. My insurance afforded me $400.00 of coverage, (which was not used in calculating the price). I'm tempted to go through the whole "rigamarole" (scam) that was used to dissuade me from using my insurance allowance, but I've already written a very long piece here and I don't want to bore anyone further. All I'll say is...AT NO TIME; NOT EVER; ON NO OCCASION; WOULD I EVER MAKE ANOTHER PURCHASE AT OR RECOMMEND "CHOICE OPTICS" TO ANYONE.

One little thing: if you are going to have your eyes pupils dilated, bring very dark sunglasses because the view from the waiting room in Stuart is beautiful but it is also very very bright!
