The reason for the delay is because we are just seeing that we were sold crap. My husband went in for an eye exam and prescription Costa sunglasses. The doctor tried to talk him into Ocean Eyes...with his progressive prescription... For " much less than Costa". He quoted $300. We should've walked out right then. Ocean Eyes are fine sunglasses- for about $19 at the local surf shop. My husband really wanted the Costas and we settled on them to the tune of about $500+. They took a few weeks to get, which we believed was because they were being sent to Costa for their special lenses- which is the whole reason you spend that kind of money on sunglasses! When we picked them up, we learned that the dr blended the lenses in his lab to save (himself money) the hassle and time of having Costa blend them. We were told that they were polarized by the company and weren't thrilled with the end product... Now we Fast forward to about 2 months ago when the polarized lenses started to come off and spot and basically look like an old pair of cheap sunglasses. We decided to go to a different doctors office to get a new pair of glasses and the difference is Night and Day! They didn't try to trick us into cheap sunglasses to make an extra buck and they understood that by ordering a brand that was known for their lenses, we really wanted Their Lenses! And not some homemade version of it out of their lab. We ended up buying a new pair of glasses AND having the Dr send the poorly done Costas to the Actual Costa Company. In the end, we learned a lesson: if things start poorly and you feel like you're about to be played, walk out. Although he was really nice, we will never use Dr. Sutcliffe again because of this terrible experience.

I chose Inlet optical due to location and the doctor found I had mono vision. He also found a stigmatism. I've been going here now for two years and love his patience and knowledge. He asked questions and really will get down to trying to find the best vision care for you. Last month I decided to go with Contacts. I have been in every week changing my contacts to get the exact comfort and he hasn't complained once. The staff are amazing.

Ordered hi index lenses on April 25, 2025. They were completed on July 2, 2025 (just shy of 10…read moreweeks). Called several times and exchanged multiple emails during this 10 weeks. I have been wearing glasses for 55 years and it has never been more than 2 weeks or so (usually closer to a week) to get an eyeglass order completed. Never got an apology but got several excuses. In fact the first time I spoke with Shawn (after about week 4) instead of apologizing he decided to insult me by telling me I didnt know anything about how the optical business/process works. At one point Shawn gave me the phone number to his regional sales rep at Zeiss and told me I could track down my own order (Really, I can't make this stuff up). Shawn told me multiple times he was just a middle man as if he had no accountability. I paid Inlet Optical for this order ($700+ by the way), so I had to remind Shawn that, in fact, he was 100% responsible for my order and it's not the customers responsibility to chase down their eyeglass order. If he has issues with his suppliers or vendors he is accountable for addressing those issues (Not his Customer!). I did not have an eye exam at inlet optical, so I can't speak to the quality or service of the eye exams. If you don't mind waiting 2+ months for an eyeglass order, by all means go for it. Otherwise find a different provider. And just to be 100% transparent, sometime after week #8 I called my credit card company to dispute the charge because I was not a happy customer. And most credit cards companies only give you 60 days from the original charge date to dispute it. Needless to say, I will not be going back to Inlet Optical in my lifetime.

I ordered glasses over a month ago and have been met with no response, no updates, and a bunch of very hard to believe stories. Two weeks after the order, I called several times with no answer. I'll spare you the long story but in summary the experience is that no one answers their phones, they don't return messages, and I'm given several different excuses including these gems; Complexity of prescription may take longer than 2 weeks, they were unexpectedly closed so UPS couldn't deliver, UPS has the order and is delivering today (last week), UPS forgot to stop by and deliver to their office for the past 3 days (this week), and now UPS dropped the box and the glasses broke. I demanded a refund and was told they would provide a full refund and refund the money paid by my insurance so I can use the benefit elsewhere. On my way out the door to get my script and refund to my credit card, I received a call informing they will not provide a refund now and I'm still in limbo with my glasses. A "director" of their business is supposed to call me today or Tuesday. We'll see but no reason to make this worse which is what I expect they'll do. We appreciated the care Dr. Weinberg has taken with her patience during the examination process but you can't operate a business like this. They were paid over $800 for the glasses including the insurance portion. Still I have no glasses and no idea when they're going to arrive. What I do have is a lot of BS that I received from this staff.
