Words cant describe how thankful I am for Dr. Wali! Last month I was experiencing extreme fatigue, brain fog, blurred vision, high heart rate and a constellation of other awful concerns. I went to my primary care doctor and asked to have my blood work/hormones to be tested. Instead of hearing my concerns and looking into my health she quickly prescribed an antidepressant and said "I was fine, in perfect health, we can test you in a month." I've been seeing Dr. Wali for a year now. She is very thorough and genuinely listens to you. She takes everything down you say and types it into her laptop. She requested lab work and other tests for me. She found I was severely anemic when my own GP hadn't even tested my iron after me feeling exhausted and drained. She has put me on a special eating plan according to my food allergy test and has recommended supplements. Now let me say that I did feel better after following her plan but i haven't been the best patient. Actually I've been a horrible patient! If I would just follow her advice I know my quality of life would improve significantly! So for the past 6-8 months it's pretty much been a roller coaster for me. Dr. Wali is the doctor I have been trying to find for 10 years. She takes a natural, holistic approach to healthcare. I appreciate how thorough she is. She goes over my supplement list at each appointment, checks and rechecks dates and tests, and asks me a bunch of questions to make sure she fully understands my case and current situation before we talk about moving forward. I have some significant anxiety issues as well as some developing hormonal struggles due to perimenopause. Going to a doctor's office is always a very, very high stress event for me. Dr. Wali is very encouraging without being coddling. In the last six months of treatment, I have been amazed at how much better I feel. There are no instant fixes with natural medicine; it took several months of being consistent to see results, but I feel back to normal for the most part. On top of all this, she also does what she can to try to save the patient money; she understands the expense. I find that impressive. The thing that has most impressed me about Dr. Wali was an event that occurred a few months ago. Several weeks after a visit, I was growing desperate that I could not get my anxiety to abate, and I felt like a complete basket case ALL the time. I called the office, nearly in tears, and told the AMAZING receptionist Megan (she is wonderful), that I was at the end of my rope and was going to fill a script for an SSRI. She had Dr. Wali call me and she talked with me on the phone for over half an hour, suggested some new supplements, and told me to hang in there as I sniffled my way through the call. I was so, so, so impressed that she would do that- take that kind of time for free- really made it clear that her patients really are her priority. She wants you to succeed. This was not a lone experience- my friend who recommended Dr. Wali to me said she had a similar experience when she had an issue in between appointments. I will say that Dr. Wali talks really quickly and does bounce between subjects pretty quickly (or that could just be me and my hormonal brain), so I would encourage any prospective patients to ask questions to clarify. I have made it clear that I will be annoying with questions in order to fully understand what is going on. Both Dr. Wali and Megan have both encouraged me to ask away! I originally had a great experience with Dr. Wali and her staff. Then, the other day I saw something I could barely believe. Dr. Wali's receptionist was on the phone. Without warning or requesting, the doctor ripped the phone from her employee's hand and in the process strangled her with the cord. Dr. Wali didn't even notice this as she was yelling at the person on the other end of the phone line. I could not believe this violent outburst and will never again visit Dr. Wali. Such behavior is totally not acceptable, especially for doctors and other care givers. I came to Dr Wali 3 weeks ago. I have Long Covid symptoms and Sleeping Pill Withdrawl symptoms. I was a total mess when I saw her. I have been experiencing POTs Tachycardia, Raynauds, Crippling Anxiety, Dizziness, Brain Fog, Insomnia, dysautonomia and a load of other symptoms. She went over my health issues in detail and spent a good amount of time talking with me during my first initial visit. She reassured me that I was on the right path to healing. I have been seeing Dr Wali for many years and I hold the highest opinion of her professionalism. In fact, I was so impressed with her that I invited her to speak to a group of my employees, many of whom are women. They were also impressed and many of them started implementing her advice straight away. She has been invaluable in my relationship with my GP and other MD specialists. When I bring Dr Wali's opinion to the GP/specialist, I find they take much more care and attention in regards to their diagnosis. Dr Wali is outstanding! Earlier this year I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer for the 2nd time. She's been so great with guiding me re: natural remedies while making sure nothing will get in the way of what my specialty docs are advising. I have done several IV therapies and Oxygen chamber after surgery. I just finished radiation and half way thru that I had a terrible reaction to the radiation, I developed a rash that would get worse after each treatment. I have suffered from a chronic, aggressive cough and painful sinus infections every fall/winter for the past ten years. I am an elementary school teacher and this cough was causing difficulties with speaking and sleeping. Over a year ago, I started to see Dr. Wali on a friend's recommendation. The first visit was very comprehensive and detailed. She took a thorough history, listened to my concerns, and ordered lab tests and allergy tests. I discovered that I had a mold allergy, as well as some food allergies. In Dec. of 2014 I was very fatigued. I could not focus at work. Felt like I was drugged or drunk. I had a hysterectomy in Feb. 2012. My hormone level dropped to where I had no estrogen or progesterone level in my body. We were able to verify this via bloodwork. I don't like Western medicine. Doctors always want to put a bandaid on your issue and pump you full of prescription meds. Dr. Wali did have me take prescription hormones for about 3 months and then I was off of them and then on supplements. She can give you prescriptions that are based on your body instead of what Western medicine does with prescribing the same medicine for every single individual.
