    "Dismal letter"

This place is an absolute disgrace and is horribly run as a business. This place will "dismiss" you the second you you question them or tell them you're not happy with something they do. I had been a loyal patient for over two years and I always paid for my appointments over the phone the day of with no issues. I called to schedule a most recent appointment (2 months in advance) and they wanted to collect payment which I thought was strange since I've never paid for a Dr's appointment in advance (including my appointments at an optimal you). I didn't have my credit card on me at the time so I said I would pay later. In the meantime I had a family member go into a coma due to Covid so needless to say I was preoccupied. During the next month an optimal you called me over 18 times pestering me for a payment for an appointment that hadn't even happened yet. I finally called them back 4 days before my appointment and told them I didn't appreciate them calling me a million times for a measly $175. I also told them about my family member with Covid who was near death and that their pestering me in advance for money had rubbed me the wrong way. There was zero sympathy or care when I told them about my family member who was near death and there was zero comment or sympathy. Not even an acknowledgement or a "Im sorry to hear that" just asking for the payment. That was the final straw for me realizing they don't care and told them I would be cutting ties with them and going to another DR. There was no apology or sense of wanting my business because she just said ok and hung up! To make matters worse they have the audacity to send me a certified letter telling me they are no longer going to provide care for me! LMAO! I was the one to cut ties with them first yet they have the nerve to pretend like they are cutting me off. Let me make this really clear for everyone: This place does not care about you. They only care about money. If they actually cared about their patients they would have actually asked about or acknowledged my situation with my family member with Covid and/or treated me like a customer when I'm unhappy with their service. I've probably recommended them over 5 people which I will no longer do. Hopefully an optimal you will start caring for people and stop acting like a pushy collections agency for appointments that haven't even happened yet.

I was having a lot more symptoms like being dizzy, blurred vision, slurring my speech and a few other things. In triage my BP was very high in the 190s and over another high number I believe in the 130s. My heart rate was extremely high too, so the triage nurse who was just the sweetest lady called out a stroke emergency. 2 amazing doctors and at least 5 nurses surrounded me on the gurney like a Nascar pit crew. They immediately put in an IV, injected me medication and took my blood several times; as well as an EKG. I was given 3 different MRI's and chest X-rays almost as soon as I came in. Everyone was so kind in MRI room. The lady who operated the MRI machine even prayed with me twice. I'd like to add that we had first gone to Inland Valley Hospital and they were horrible to us this morning. I told them I was have chest pains and stroke like symptoms. They did not even pull me up for triage hearing that and I had to wait at least 5 minutes. They did not call a stroke code and just pushed me back into some weird ER patient only waiting room for a little over an hour. There were at minimum 20 patients in weird little room complaining they'd been waiting over 3 hours after also being triage and saying there were only 2-3 nurses on duty. That's when I decided speak up and be my own advocate. I just got up and exited; telling the triage nurse on my way out that I was going to another hospital. Thank God that I did! Last thing I have to add is that my doctors are extremely competent and seen well educated on cardiac and stroke events, but they have the best bedside manner! They were so great at Rancho Springs that 1 of my doctors walked my husband over to get a coffee! Now that's great service!

Once we got checked in we were in a packed waiting room with children throwing up in bags. About 30 minutes later they called him back to the triage room and did an EKG. Then they took him for Xrays & C-scan. Then back to the waiting room and called him back for blood work and admin registration. . Then back to the waiting room. Over 2 hours and no one told us anything. I went to ask the status and the check in desk said he needed to do a urine sample. So he did and back the waiting room. Almost 5 hours total and I ask if they had any results. She said well nothings broke but the doctor likes to talk to the patient after all the labs and test results are in. I ask if we could just go home and somebody can call us. That was yesterday afternoon about 4:00pm today at 3pm still waiting. I just called the ER and they said sometimes urine test take a couple days. I ask so would we still be sitting in the waiting room waiting for the doctor to tell us something. I am so ticked about how they treated my 83 year old husband and how they handle sick people who are mixed in the injured patients. It's no wonder the flu and Covid are so bad. This is unbelievable and needs attention. After 5 hours we decided to go home but they did absolutely nothing to help my husband's pain no meds, no wrap or sling. They said I could do that myself if he thinks it'll help.

They were attentive, compassionate, and made sure he was closely monitored throughout his stay. Because his condition wasn't typical, they took every precaution to ensure he received the right treatment and was safe before being discharged. One thing that really stood out was how thorough the team was. They reached out to his endocrinologist, kept them informed, and worked together to make sure the proper steps were taken for his care. Knowing they were collaborating with his specialist gave me so much confidence that my son was receiving the best possible treatment. Although we were there for over 10 hours, I understood that the time was necessary to carefully monitor his condition. Throughout our visit, the doctors, nurses, and staff communicated clearly, explaining his condition, the tests they were performing, and what they were watching for. They never made us feel forgotten and always kept us informed. The staff also made sure my son was comfortable throughout the day by providing snacks, drinks, lunch, and even diapers and wipes so he had everything he needed while they continued to monitor him. Those thoughtful touches meant so much and showed how much they genuinely cared about his comfort and well-being. The room and overall environment helped cheer him up during what could have been a very stressful experience, and everyone treated him with such kindness, patience, and compassion. They cared not only for my son but also for me, making sure we were both comfortable throughout our stay. We left knowing my son had been thoroughly evaluated, treated appropriately, and discharged safely. He's doing so much better now, and I am incredibly grateful to the entire team for their professionalism, compassion, and dedication. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my son and for making a difficult day so much easier for our family. We truly appreciate everything you did for us.

I kept refusing treatment and said multiple times that I didn't need medical attention. I was never brought back, did not have any tests done, was not seen by anyone, yet I magically received a $2k bill from the attending doctor that evening. All I did was sit in the waiting room waiting for my kid for 5 hours, yet they "discharged" me with bogus brochures on what to do after a car accident. They didn't even submit it through my insurance and do you know why? Because I was never a patient on that day and did not fill out any paperwork nor get checked in with my info. Guess who else got a $2k bill? My kid. The one who was seen by the doctor, received scans and treatment. I'm going to let my attorney take care of it which they are advising to contest the bill, there are a bunch of crooks here! Don't come here if you can avoid it less you want to be saddled with a bill for services supposedly rendered that you didn't even receive!

While I understand that fevers can be part of the body's normal response to illness, the way this was communicated came across as dismissive of my concerns as a parent. I left the appointment feeling unheard and without the reassurance or explanation I was hoping for after bringing in an infant with a high fever. Parents seek urgent care because they are concerned about their child's well-being, and a little empathy and communication can go a long way. I hope future families receive more compassionate and thorough care when seeking medical attention for their children.

As I sat there, I watched almost everyone who had been waiting get called until the waiting area was nearly empty. The employee looked up my medical record number and casually told me the pharmacy system had crashed and that there was nothing they could do. I was simply told to come back tomorrow. No one apologized for the wait. No one came into the waiting room to inform patients about the system issue. No one attempted to offer another solution or even acknowledged how frustrating the situation was. I work in healthcare, so I understand that technology fails. System outages happen. What I don't understand is the lack of communication, empathy, and basic customer service. Those things don't require a working computer. Every day, I care for patients and do everything I can to make them feel seen, heard, and supported--even when circumstances are beyond my control. I know what compassionate patient care looks like because I strive to provide it every single day. Walking away from this experience, I couldn't help but feel dismissed and forgotten. This wasn't just about not getting my medication. It was about the way patients were treated. A simple apology, a clear explanation, or someone taking a moment to communicate with everyone waiting would have made all the difference. I expected better from an organization that prides itself on patient-centered care. I sincerely hope this feedback reaches leadership because no patient should leave feeling like they don't matter.
