Jun 18 - follow up to review my test results, one test was missing so they drew my blood again. Went to check out and i asked the guy receptionist if i had a copay he said no. It didn't seem right so I double checked with him and the lady next to him said i do have a $30 copay (so i paid). After a week i called to check on my results cuz i didn't see anything posted on my online account and i was informed my doctor was out and that a doctor needed to review my results with me. They tried to schedule me in office but i asked if it can be a call cuz i didn't want to drive down again. June 27 - got the call from the doctor to review my results (still didn't get why i couldn't just get a copy of my results online, my old Sharp doctor would usually just have the results on my app.) About two weeks later (July 7) i receive a bill for $50(or so) so i called them and they advised that my insurance didn't cover my initial appointment and told me i'd have to reach out to my insurance in regards to my confusion so i did. it looks like the insurance and medical office settled something because the app showed i only owed $30 after a few weeks (July 28) so i paid for it. Aug. 8 i see another bill for 2 different dates for a total of $60 so i called again and the lady on the phone said it was for my first appointment (which i recently just paid for) and my video call (video call that shouldn't have even happened if they didn't mess up on one of my test results). They're literally charging me for everything even if it's a mistake on their end.

John Cassone is the first naturopath I consulted with, and I have to say I struck gold by finding him! He instantly made me feel comfortable, and made it clear that he would do anything possible to help me heal. It was refreshing to see a dr emphasize the mind/body/spiritual balance and to focus on core issues, instead of masking symptoms. My quality of life greatly improved after a few sessions with Dr Cassone, and I was healing well after continuously seeing him. Unfortunately I had to move out of the area, and I have to say my health isn't the best without his treatments. Seeing him would be worth the drive though! I highly recommend Cassone Wellness. I went to my primary care doctor and asked to have my blood work/hormones to be tested. Instead of hearing my concerns and looking into my health she quickly prescribed an antidepressant and said "I was fine, in perfect health, we can test you in a month." I knew something was physically off and did not need an anti-depressant. I found a handful of amazing reviews from other women and Moms recommending Dr. Wali. Scheduling was easy and she was able to get me in promptly. My first appointment with Dr. Wali was 90 minuets long and she went over my entire health history. She was attentive, had genuine concern and made me feel heard. She ordered every test to dive deeper into all my symptoms and found the answer. I did not need an SSRI.. I was extremely low on iron/other labs and my hormones were off. She personally followed up after she received my results and before my follow up appointment, knowing I had a race coming up. Within days/weeks of her recommendations I begin to feel alive again and having less brain fog and more energy. Dr. Wali created an easy to follow health plan over the next few months that is realistic, financially reasonable and low stress while I continue to heal my body and hormones. Dr Ruiz is quite the saleswoman. While you explain the case (keeping in mind she only takes sick kids with specific needs) she seems to always have the perfect test that needs to be ran and the perfect homeopathic/natural medicine to cure that symptom or issue. She's going to do a very lengthy exam as well. She's very talkative and can keep that clocking running up with the best of them. Before you know it, it's been 3 hours and a lot has been talked about and you have a long list of vitamins and medicines that she conveniently has stock piled in her office. You go to check out and it went from a $500 consult to $2500 in exam and medicines. Probably have a feeling when you leave of "what's the plan other than to come to another appointment". I never once got a true provider, caring feeling from this woman. Has used car-salesman with a litigation feeling when talking to her. We made a phone follow up appointment with her a month later, but worked with Paul to get it rescheduled - he confirmed this. However, Dr Ruiz herself still called on the original day. We explained we were not in the position to take the appointment and she said no problem but that she would still be billing us for the full hour, even though it was a 60 sec conversation. That was a $500 phone call. We have never heard back from this team in over a year. They do not care one bit about treating your child. They just want to milk you for money. If you really want a provider that understands PANS/PANDAS and actually wants to treat your child I HIGHLY recommend you lookup Amy Joy Smith NP in Orange County. We've seen remarkable improvements since being under her care. Do NOT waste your money coming to see Dr Ruiz.

I was dealing with blood blisters, a poor latch, doubts and fears about supply, and a baby that was temporarily not gaining enough weight. As a first-time mom, it was extremely stressful, and there were many tears. However, Juliana's visits always left me feeling more informed, reassured, and capable. We also did a weighted feed during every visit, which confirmed that my baby was indeed getting enough to eat. I still remember the relief I felt when I learned that. Juliana is a big reason why I decided to stay the course with breastfeeding. (Thank goodness, because now I LOVE it.) My insurance covered the cost of the visits, so I just paid the $60 travel fee. I also attended her breastfeeding class with my husband before giving birth. This was super helpful, but I recommend taking the class within 1 month of your due date. We took it a bit too early in my pregnancy, and forgot a couple things by the time I gave birth. I did a little research and spoke to 3 midwives. However there is something special about Amanda and choosing her as my midwife was a no brainer. For one, she offered to have our first meeting at my house. Second, upon meeting her, she had such a calm demeanor and soothing voice that my worries and anxiety regarding a home birth went away. From then on my interactions with Amanda became more meaningful. I always brought my first son to all my appts and Amanda was so sweet at letting him play with her stethoscope. During these appointments she talks to your baby as she is checking baby's heartbeat. She looks at your health holistically, and even allowed to me to talk about stress and worries that I was experiencing at the time. I feel this was so important for my overall pregnancy health. The day I have birth I was already experiencing intermittent labor and my water was leaking out. Amanda came over and offered different options on how to get my labor to progress, and was so patient with me as I was able to dictate what I wanted to do and not do. She gave me the space to listen to my own body. She was incredibly patient and calm and guided my husband and I every step of the way. And let me remind you, her voice is so soft and soothing that when you are in the thick of labor contractions, she is all you will want to hear. Several hours later, my son was born and Amanda was by my side! Amanda is truly a caring person and it is evident that she loves what she does. Her energy is so warm and inviting. When my baby met her, he just melted into her, as if he knew her. This entire experience was nothing short of incredible for me, and I really have Amanda to thank for that. Our experience was very similar to Emily's experience…read more I'd say almost to the T with the exception of her assistant, Sally was great and is one of the reason my wife and son are alive today. My wife and I expressed concerns about her pelvis being too narrow but she brushed it off and we believed her. A mistake that nearly ended my new family. She would say that something was fine and then would say that the same thing was concerning. We chalked it up to her being a bit eccentric. On top of that, we only got reimbursed a little over $100 from insurance and we had Anthem PPO at the time. Not necessarily her fault but it added to the negative experience and expenses. My wife's labor ended up being 24hrs at home and 36hrs total which ended in a C-Section. She was little to no help and it was Sally that recommended we go to the hospital. Plug-in for Rancho Springs, amazing hospital and staff. It's not what we wanted but definitely what we needed and more. We didn't want a hospital birth but they have the best ward bar none. Only hospital me and my wife would go to for this. From our conversations with other people that used her in the past, I think she was once a great midwife but from our experience, I would highly discourage anyone from using her services. If you use her, you'll be playing roulette with you and your child's life.

During our meetings we were constantly recommended to seek outside opinions from my OBGYN and medical facilities, causing us to spend thousands more during my pregnancy and birth on top of her fee for services ($6000). During my birth Anne and her assistants made the environment stressful when I expressed for my birth to be peaceful to my liking. Upon Anne's arrival she said that I was fully dilated at 6am. At 3pm Anne had checked me and told me that she had still felt some of my cervix (I WAS NOT FULLY DILATED). She had complained earlier in the day that her fingers were too short to check properly, so I'm not sure how she has been a midwife and her fingers be too short to check her clients. I was instructed to push while not being fully dilated. Anne appeared impatient and she didn't seem to know what to do to help me progress. After an hour and a half of pushing she recommended transfer to the hospital. Upon arrival at the hospital I was checked and was dilated to AN EIGHT. The hospital determined that my baby was too large to have naturally. During my pregnancy we brought up the size of my baby and Anne would discredit all the ultrasounds and weight estimates that we were given. I had my baby via c-section and was born at 11 pounds 1 ounce, he would never have been born safely naturally. After my hospital stay we returned home to a birth pool fully inflated and still containing the water from my labor, this was after I was told that everything would be cleaned up before our return. A warning to all, a contract is presented and must be signed that states once Anne shows up to your birth/labor there are NO REFUNDS of any sort. Ultimately I would not recommend Anne's services as a midwife. If you are looking for a midwife to trust as your expert and for a safe, comfortable birth, look elsewhere.
