No one's keys have been checked to see what house key has been checked out and it is very easy to just take a key when you work for a company and enter someone's home.. security could be better, especially with stalkers running around in the neighborhood.

It's supposed to be picked up every week. If only! I feel so embarrassed because we have to put garbage out back or in the shed to get stinky and gross and it's embarrassing. And it's only because the trash service for this neighborhood is downright lousy. My neighbors on either side always get their trash picked up and I put my can a few feet down from theirs. I truly feel like we get ignored for this service. I've throughly read directions in the lease about where to put your trash can, etc. and nothing works. It sucks because I love living here but if we have children we would have to move because the trash service is that bad! If you're a large family I wouldn't live here. if you have dirty diapers that need disposed of every week don't live here because let me tell you: they will NOT CARE AND WILL NOT PICK UP YOUR GARBAGE! Those dirty diapers will end up going to your shed or yard because the trash service won't dispose of your garbage and you'll get to feel embarrassed like me! Truly disappointing.

Since moving in they are continuously making improvements to the property-including repaving the parking lot, updating the outside appearance with painting the doors (it looks a lot better) and general maintenance. Oh! And new, working thermostats. Every time I or my room mate has put in a maintenance ticket, they have responded promptly and fixed the issue very quickly. For example, the stove had a burner that need to be replaced-they sent someone with a brand new coil in less than a day. The towel rack fell off the wall in the bathroom and they securely affixed a new one without making it look gaudy. Honestly, I can see myself living here for years to come.

If obtaining answers is this difficult while a company is trying to earn your business, it raises concerns about what communication may look like after signing an agreement. Based on my experience, I decided to move in another direction. I encourage other property owners to thoroughly review the agreement, ask questions, and evaluate the responsiveness you receive before committing.

Most of the affordable apartments in the Ghent area are very charming old buildings, with tons of potential and character, but they have not been well maintained and are managed by lazy companies who put no effort or money into maintaining/fixing/updating them. Before that, my husband had lived in one of their 2 bedroom apartments on Pennsylvania Ave. (Riverview). His experience was amazing, as well. Point #2: The staff and management is the friendliest, most accommodating and helpful staff I have had the pleasure of dealing with in my past home hunting. They let you check out the keys to the apartments you want to look at in return for a deposit, so you can peruse the locations without the annoyance of relying on a realtor. They answer work orders quickly and pleasantly. Each location is freshly painted and spotless prior to the new tenant's move-in.
