On Memorial Day, there were several groups barbecuing and having parties at the picnic tables around the parking lot area. There were clean bathrooms and the beach was also free of litter. Unfortunately, there was quite a bit of seaweed and a bit of a drop down before getting to the water but overall very nice beach.

The parking lot…read moreabsolutely fills up during the morning as there were people circling around when we departed at around 10am. The park spans both sides of the land with features on both the Intracoastal Waterway side of A1A and the ocean side with a narrow pedestrian walkway under the bridge on both sides of the inlet. A playground, restrooms, park space and then the "show" of watching boaters try to make their way. It's a tremendous thing to watch as these folks go too slow or too fast against the current and around the small bend to get between the Ocean and the Inlet. Sadly, I've only been able to see them on the Youtube channel as the two boats this morning both chickened out. Still, a fabulous spot to get near the water and beaches. What is left of it makes for cramped seating unless you are willing to walk, which we did, but had we been with our in-laws it would not have been that easy. Also the stairs and walking path seems as if they are falling apart. Need some remediation and a good paint job. Positives are still showers and restrooms. Once I did find a spot to park, it was a nice walk through the mangroves and along the boardwalk over the dunes to the beach. I found a seat, probably trespassing from one of the communities but the chair was comfy. With my coffee in hand, I was here for over an hour as the Sun slowly came over the horizon. I was undisturbed. Other beachgoers walking back and forth but folks seemed to get my vibe and did not approach. There is a beached sailboat here since December. Maybe it's still here when you visit. It made for some fun photos. There is a bathroom facility and a beach shower and a picnic pavilion. Parking across the street requires feeding a meter. Don't forget that. It took forever for us to find parking, so we ended up doing valet near this beach. I was sunburnt from the day before so was on a quest to find an umbrella to rent. Thankfully, Oceanside rentals came in clutch with a $32 umbrella only all day rental. We liked this beach a lot because of the calm water. We also appreciated that there was less seaweed and calmer water than Boynton Beach's Ocean Front Beach Park. The surrounding green was gorgeous. Where we entered there was a giant pipe though that smelled a little like cigars, but we sat far enough away for it not too bother us too much. If you don't mind walking a bit for parking, this beach is a great pick.

To see the sun set with such dramatic colors in the sky, while knowing that it will rise again the next day, hopefully it can instill and renew hope within you to muster up the strength to face whatever challenge you are facing on that day. We stayed briefly and didn't stay a while. Maybe all three of us thought of different things, but to coexist in that beautiful moment was nice enough for me to want to go back again soon. The view was really nice. Words can't describe how I felt so please stop by yourself and feel for it yourself. The walkaway and parking was kinda tricky for me. It's nice but then again it's accessible to anyone so it can be rough depending on what kind of crowd is there. You might have to walk around like we did to find few good picture spots. The roads are two way but kinda tight so if you are driving around in an suv like me, please be mindful of the size of your vehicle while on the road!

This review is for the South side of Lake Worth Beach…read more Lake Worth Beach is the closest beach to me, and although I used to mainly only go to Kreusler Park adjacent to this, I have now begun hitting the opposite end, the very South Side of the beach. I park at the City parking pass spots on the bottom parking level, just in front of the grassy little hill, and let my kids run in the grass and climb the trees in the top part while I unload the car. Then we walk a short distance to the very South beach access. This part of the beach is lovely, usually you can walk out really far in the water, no rocks, fish around. The bathrooms are in a little building along here that also has an overhand where people gather when it rains, and the roundabout for pickups/drop offs makes this super convenient. I don't like the fake pigeon squawks, which are really annoying if you're hanging in the picnic area near here under the trees, which is where I usually have my kids eat instead of lugging food down to the beach. And the only 1 shower thing is frustrating, but otherwise, this is a lovely spot!

I was very happy to see very few instances of litter and pollution inside the park. It was very clean. Everyone here on this particular day was very courteous, and it wasn't crowded on a holiday. Like birding? This spot is for you. The avian influence is strong in this park. The trees are filled with nests of cheerful, impatient, and angry birds. The glades have little chicks hopping around, looking for food, or taking bath. Mother ducks leading their flock, and Great Blue Herons majestically creeping around. There are plenty of iguanas climbing around looking for easy snacks in the branches, and you'll see some really big ones just wandering the open pathways too. And when you're lucky, there's a gator or two soaking about. I'd get there early, because it can get hot later in the day, and parking can be a limiting factor.
