A bank located inside a Stop and Shop. Actually just a counter with a couple of tellers. Not a bad…read moreidea because it makes things convenient but this particular counter is located right behind the registers where people are trying to get out. It gets extremely crowded at times and with the people trying to get out of the store and others trying to get to the bank tellers it can get totally chaotic. This is probably the worse place in the whole store to put the bank. Part of the problem is that people finish their shopping and try to negotiate a heavy carriage of groceries into the bank lines. Not a good idea. I don't know how many times I have had a foot run over by some idiot trying to push a carriage into a small roped off line. Plus the courtesy is right next to the bank and again behind the registers, so you literally have to fight you way through little kids running around and old ladies just standing in the way with blank looks on their faces to get into a bank line. The actually bank tellers have always been polite and quick if not particular friendly. How could they be with all this chaos going on around them. Even though at quiet times this bank location can be convenient I usually prefer to go to one of the other branches. The screaming kids and vacuous old ladies are just too much for me.

The atms also spit out various denominations besides just 20's. I have easily made withdrawals and deposits at the teller, with them all being easily accommodating. When I got married and changed my name they made that process seem less and easy. Each individual that I have encountered at this location has been pleasant even on the busiest of days!

I recently was sent a alert on my account which said There was questionable activity on my checking account. I immediately check with my online account and was reassured that everything was fine. I was notified by email which I appreciated. The parking is around the back of the bank which is ample and there is street parking as well. I never seem to have to wait long they have a few regular tellers that are always pleasant and efficient in there work.

The staff was really, really nice. They weren't all that busy (expect for the Notary Public), after my second attempt that day to see her, the staff offered to make me an appointment. If getting documents notarized, you might need to do a bit of coaching on what's required. They tried to send me out the door with an auxiliary printed sheet of paper that she stapled to my document - and my name was spell wrong :(. I politely put my foot down and asked for the notary to be written on the original document - yo duh!

Watch out for Melissa, who will tell you that you need specific documentation and then tell you it's not sufficient when you bring in exactly what she requested.....not once but TWICE.

The area can get a bit congested with lots of traffic going to the Stop & Shop nearby or the Cardi's furniture store. Still, large screen ATM for easy transactions.
