I recently paid off my home equity loan. They say they sent me a release. Did they really? Hard to believe, Now, I need that release so I can clear my title and sell my house. They are charging me $50 for a copy, which is essentially a piece of paper. I have to go to the branch and pay for it upfront and then bring it to town hall myself. Other banks do that for you. Stay away from this bank. They are the absolute worst. I'll be spreading the word. Too bad there's not a zero rating. That would be my vote.

Prospect Mortgage got me a good rate and executed my mortgage on time for closing, they did their…read morejob. The customer service was less than par. At times it was hard to contact my loan specialist; he did reply to my emails but often didn't answer all the questions I had asked. When I met with Prospect Mortgage in person I handed them hard copies of my bank statements. A week later they asked me to fax them in, they had been misplaced. I was frustrated that my personal information on those bank statements was misplaced. I was asked to fax them a 2nd time, which I did, and I was further frustrated by my personal information being once again "misplaced". I was asked to send the bank statements A 3RD TIME, when I had a couple weeks prior handed them the information personally. Rather then send a 3rd fax (all previous faxes showed delivered successfully on the fax machine) I had to drive to Prospect and once again hand them into the office in person. I made it clear at that time that I did not intend to deal with this poor business etiquette in the future and they shouldn't misplace these bank statements again. Overall Prospect hooked me up with a good rate, and did perform the duties I asked them to but there were some bumps in the road and I was really shocked by the lack of professionalism.
