So I took the agent suggested to me by my bank. I received no return phone call for weeks & when they did, they just give me a long list of homes to comb through. I decided I needed someone new. The 2nd real estate agent they referred me to, returned my phone calls but never invited me into an office or asked me what I wanted. And again handed me a long list of homes and met me at one (late), after I had already walked it. I decided I need find someone new. I called EXIT Realty North Providence after combing local reviews to set up an appointment. They called me back later that day to confirm a time and invited me to their office. This is where I met my agent Erin L. and their broker Melissa P. Talk about a breath of fresh air. For our initial meeting they invited me to the office, asked about me, my housing needs and even brought a lender to the table to answer any questions and offer services. The initial conversation was no pressure and all about understanding what I needed. They also answered the 1 million questions I had, as a first time home buyer. Erin was awesome through the whole process. Clearly and quickly returned all my calls, emails and texts. Day, evening and weekends, she was always there to answer questions and guide me along the way. I would highly recommend her for any first time or young home buyers. Her follow up and communication was A+. I gets even better. On the night before closing, we ended up in a situation with an unwilling seller, who can hadn't started their move out process or the repairs laid out in purchase agreement. This is where the whole team at EXIT really came in handy. The Broker Melissa began guiding me through the legal process and the next morning Erin spent the entire day with me at the lawyers office and hashed out a deal that got me $10k in an escrow hold back for the repairs and the home at a steal of a price. That same day we drove back to the house and Erin waited with me out front while they moved out till 1AM and we got the keys! Even after the purchase Erin has continued to check in with me. I've dealt with KCWA over the past five years in a variety of capacities, including paying a…read morelandlord's water bill while renting a house in Coventry; paying a water bill and having a water meter repaired as a homeowner in West Warwick; and as a plumber who often called them to have water turned off and on to several houses so I could do repairs. Always, they have been very professional and provided excellent service, from the office staff to the guys working in the field. Their bills are easy to read, and when I bought my house and had to take over the water bill from the prior owner, I went to their office and was able to do the transfer smoothly. Once, there was an issue with my water meter (they couldn't get remote readings), so I had to make an appointment for a serviceman to come out and repair my meter. He was on time and made the repair quickly, and I've had no issues since then. They've been a pleasure to work with in my job, also. If I have a customer whose main water shutoff valve at the water meter doesn't work, due to old age and/or corrosion, I call KCWA to send someone out to my customer's house to shut the water off at the sidewalk, so I can then replace the main shutoff valve inside the customer's house. They come when they're scheduled, and will wait while I replace the valve inside, so they can turn the water back on right away, all in one trip, so the customer is not without water for very long. Their guys in the field were awesome and I got to know them by name, I dealt with them so often. I usually mail my water bills, but I believe you can now pay your bill online. My only complaint is that there is no convenient place to park if you go to their office on Main Street, but this complaint is minor enough that it doesn't lower my 5-star rating.
