This location is good. They have a lot in stock and are always getting more in. The lines are always very very long, but the staff is nice.

My wife and I went there yesterday, November 18, 2024. The staff that helped us find rugs in the Rug department were amazing Henry,Shantel, we're so accommodating. We bought six rugs one of them quite large a 9 x 12 and very heavy. Henry went above and beyond to help us get it in our SUV, which which was noex task. He was patient, personable, friendly, and helpful. We have found the store to be clean, the prices, reasonable, and all of the staff that we encountered to be helpful & professional. It's real fun to go to a store like that when you have that kind of staff. Way to go job Lot read more

Clean store, great selection and prices. Staff was very friendly and didn't mind my crazy 3 year old at the register. In fact she tried to engage with him. Very sweet. This is one of the better Ocean State stores that I've been to. We came for some toys to donate at an event tonight and boy did we make a good choice coming here for them. I like job lot, they sell such random things sometimes that you may not find at other stores especially when it comes to food/snack items. My 1 criticism would be cashing out. It's sooooooo slow to get out of the store when you do purchase something. It's always like 1 register open and it's always some person who is incredibly slow for no reason it other than that it's a good store. read more

I visit this store very regularly to buy small household items for very affordable prices. They're certainly a cut above the rest when it comes to pricing even if what they actually have tends to vary a bit more wildly than places like Walmart. Some of the associates there can be quite taciturn, but the young bald man in the household section on weekday mornings is always very helpful to me. read more

Certain things that I shop for are in the Job Lot! I love their selection of olive oils and grapeseed oil. They have so many great condiments to stock up on and don't forget pasta noodles, sauce and sun-dried tomatoes, those are a must for me when I am there. And of course, have to get treats for my dog Miss Daisy while I'm there too. They have lots for your furry friends. read more

Ocean State Job Lot - Stopping in to pick up some bargains - Discount Store Near Me - Fairhaven, Massachusetts

I caution customers interested in buying the large tent-like pavilions they sell for around $2k. Job Lots does not carry replacement parts, nor can they refer you to a manufacturer that does. Apparently, they get the pavilions from China. So if a couple roof slats bend or break on a windy day, your purchase becomes worthless. I was shocked and disappointed that they offered no remedy on a high cost item. read more

Ocean State Job Lot is a great place to find cheap stuff. This particular one in Fairhaven seems a bit more organized than some of the other ones I have seen, but it's still pretty chaotic. You have to spend some time and energy finding what you want and sometimes what you want isn't what they have. Still, everytime I go I find something I can use or eat and I don't spend a lot of money. From my experience in several job lots the staff aren't exactly enthusiastic, but with a bit of effort you can usually get the right information out of them. Walkling into a Job Lot there are no surprises. They are exactly what they seem to be, nothing more and nothing less. read more

I love Ocean State Job Lot. Every single one of them. Ahh. Cheapie (good) food items. I mean, olive oil for $3 (compared to Shaw's who was $8), spices for under a buck, and interesting snacks (lasagna chips, huge-ass bags of pita chips, dogfood sized bags of Malt-O-Meal fruit loops for $3? hell yeah) and cheap toys (Catwalk Kitties, yeah Barbies for furries, rofl) and coloring books (Peeps coloring book!) and all sorts of weird things? I love these places. The Fairhaven one I think I go to the most, maybe as much as the King's Highway one in New Bedford, since this one is next to the huge Marshall's. I love cheapie stores. I go in here pretty often in the weekday mornings as the store generally tends to have what I'm after at a better price than most. It's a decently well organized store with a good selection without the difficulty in getting through the aisles I used to have in it's old location. In particular I favor their selection of canvas and paints, and cannot recommend it enough to any other artists out there. There's a nice young man named Henry who tends to be there and always helps me find exactly what I need in particular but the workers there tend to be very friendly and helpful. read more

Most stores open way before the usual hours for seniors. For instance Market basket opens for seniors at 6:am,,, Job Lot doesnt open before 9:am. Funny thing is, before they moved to the new store they used to open at 8:am, and that was when there was no covid-19 yet. I wish they would open at 6:am or 7:am for seniors. When I wait until 9:am i find that anyone goes in, not just seniors. Theres no benefit or advantage for us seniors at the Job Lot in Fairhaven. read more

Store seemed organized overall, and had everything I was looking for. Going into a job lot, you have to know how it is, and how it could be totally hit/miss. However my biggest complaint is the staff-everyone seemed quite unhappy & were unapproachable. read more

I just finished shopping in Ocean State Job Lot in Fairhaven MA and I spoke with a manager named Diane and my cashier was 44351. I have been looking for towels for a long time that are thick and a pretty color. This store had both however ALL of their towels are either stained with some brown object or covered in bird poop. Yes I said bird poop. I asked if they could provide a discount since most of their towels in the back are stained or covered in animal feces and Diane said she is only will to give me $1 off on one towel. I think it is absolutely deplorable that you are allowed to have towels on the shelf in such condition. I could have gone to Walmart and got the same towel for $1.50 each but I wanted to give your store business. I am extremely upset about this matter. Not only that but I tried to call your corporate number and the man who answered refused to talk to me after I said I wanted to lodge a complaint and told me to call back next week. I would appreciate it if I could get an email back regarding this issue and some sort of compensation for the disrespect of your corporate office and uncleanliness of your store. Who dosen't like getting a matress,a towel, a pocket knife, and a six pack of gum for only seven dollars?

A favorite store. They have an excellent selection for food: gourmet stuff and normal items, usually cheap and NOT defective, old, etc. (I do have some rules about what types of packaging I will accept from any discount store, however - mostly that everything has to be sealed and not just boxed.) High ticket food items like decent oils, real nut butters, real maple syrup, nuts, etc. are the #1 reason to come here I think. (Tip: when buying Teddy's peanut butter, look at the label - the one with just nuts is some of the best PB I've had; the one with more ingredients is not worth buying) This store also has a selection of cheap tools that can come in really handy. Most of the tools are of dubious quality (think Harbor Freight minus a few points), but OSJL can be a lifesaver when it comes to buying certain (non-electrical) tools that you need urgently. Also, the last time I went to the Fairhaven store, they had a really good selection of exercise stuff (dumbbells, kettlebells, etc) cheap - I would've bought some stuff if I didn't have to ship it or check it on the airplane back to San Diego. read more

I work at the OSJL in Fairhaven and absolutely adore the store and my fellow employees. I am so impressed with the quality of items we sell and honestly don't know how they do it so inexpensively. Many customers comment about the total being less than they expected and we have nearly 100% happy customers so it is a joy to be a cashier there also. Sometimes the floor needs some organization but we are always working at that. The different things I see and hear rave reviews about from the customers are things I will often try, such as the Pear soap which I am currently using. The sales are great, for instance this weekend is tax free weekend in MA and OSJL has 2.5 inch mattress toppers which are usually $150. for Queen at just $99.99. I am going to buy one on Sat. for a gift which is now an affordable one. Where do you ever see a sale on perfect items that are not overstocks or clearance that is 33% off the price, fantastic!!!! read more
