I've been to the savers and New Bedford and wanted to try this location out. Was a little disappointed at the location. Honestly, a little sketchy. Before I could even turn the car off someone was at the window begging for money. Apparently this is very common in this area. The same went for upon approaching the storefront. Moved to Fall River last year and this place has helped me furnish my house. Seriously, I have bought so many great things here. Tables, chairs, vases, picture frames, lamps.. some of the prices are ridiculous but if you look hard enough you can get yourself a good deal. I've never had a bad encounter with an employee here and have had a few of them help me load up my truck with stuff that was too heavy for me to carry myself. Parking lot is huge. I have been to other savers that are bigger but it's a decent size. Definitely recommend if you're in the area and love to thrift. read more

Their prices have gone WAY up over the past year. DVD's are now $3.99 which is near the price we can buy them new on Amazon. I stopped buying them and I'm sure many others have as well. For something that is donated, they appear to be getting a little greedy. read more

Ever since thrifting because a trend or popular, THEY UPCHARGE. PRICES USED TO BE REASONABLE, NOW THERE IS A 300% INCREASE. WHEN YOU GET EVERYTHING FOR FREE, THAT SHOULD NEVER BE THE CASE. they are well employed, lots of folks tidying up the place, the dresses ??? No dresses for less than $12, not even name brand or good quality. After finding out and seeing it for myself how much good quality items they throw in their dumpster I stopped coming here. The dumpster is always full and tons I mean tons of anything you could imagine thrown away!!! At least sell those things for cheap instead of throwing good quality items away. Save the planet people, its the only one we got. Donating to women's shelter and homeless shelters from now on. read more

I had an entire car full on items to donate. I called first and the employee stated everything I had would be accepted as this is 20+ miles away. I got there and they picked through what was "acceptable" and left most of the items. I had a beautiful Christmas tree in a red bag and they refused it because it wasn't in the box stating they couldn't resell it in the bag. The clothes others donated were in giant piles on the ground underneath the tractor trailers they were going into. I'm sure they ended up soaking wet in the rain. Sad to see. read more

I came to the Fall River Savers recently to purchase costumes for a community theatre production I am working on. This was my first time here in several years, and I totally forgot how huge and well stocked this place is! I was able to find everything that I was looking for, and the customer service at the checkout counter was warm, friendly, and professional. I got a ton of stuff for under $20, and all of it was very good quality. When looking through the inventory, I found that they mostly have contemporary pieces (90s-current), with some older stuff thrown in for good measure. Going to this Savers is a wonderful way to waste an afternoon thumbing through rack after rack of clothing, and I intend to come back soon! read more

I always find quality items that are like new for reasonable pricing. Children's toys give you a selection of items you may have misplaced or need additional ones to complete a set. I have bought riding toys there that have lasted for years. Love the Tuesday Senior Day. read more

I've been to the one in Fall River and also the one in Hanover. I loved everything about Savers! I've been thrifting with my mother and sisters ever since I was a young teen. My daughter who is 30 now also loves thrifting and started going with me at a very young age. She and I absolutely love Savers. I think it's got to be our favorite place to thrift shop. We basically go for the clothes and shoes but always end up looking at the variety of items that they carry which is almost everything. I was amazed the 1st time I shopped at Savers and saw the variety of items that they sold and the quality of the items although I do think the prices were higher than I expected on most things. We usually go and look for items that are half off. If it's something we have to have we usually end up getting it whether it's half price or not. Every time my daughter and I get together for the day or just for lunch we always make time to shop at Savers!!! read more

This Savers is actually awesome. I've found some great random-ass crap there. If you have some of-the-wall idea for an outfit you think you could probably find in a thrift store, you'll have a good chance of finding it here. This is a great place to get quality kids clothes for very cheap, if you are patient and search through the junk. Problem is their regular prices are actually kind of high, so I only go there on their 50% days (usually holidays). But the environment is terrible on those days - people are very cutthroat, line up ahead of time and will push and shove their way to the deals. Yowza. I haven't done much shopping in the adult area because I go on the busy days and wouldn't have time to try things on. Lots of toys, though much of it is junk. Great selection of books. read more

Prices are hit or miss. Mostly based on the name on the label...you'll find a higher brand name, with piss poor quality, marked higher than a new-with-tags of a store brand. A lot of items are improperly sized as well. Super frustrating. read more

This place used to be awesome- lately their prices have skyrocketed! Their items are donated to them for free. The prices I've seen for old, stained, blouses only acceptable to wear while painting are $7.99! For basically something you'd use as a rag- You can find some deals but it's getting harder and harder. read more

If I could give this place no stars, I would! Free, donated items that in turn are priced HIGH by sales associates based on what their labels originally may have fetched regardless of their current condition. Washed worn, faded, altered, in need of repair, regardless the prices can sometimes found similar to what you can get at a good sale in a department store when you look. (i.e. NEW Children's Place shirt $5.40) Prices have climbed way too fast here...not sure why. Service can be snippy and lacking at times as well. read more
