I just want to say that I am thankful for those that make the church what it is. The gifts that are in those that God could show is glory. We serve a amazing God that could do the impossible. Thank You Ocean View Church

I personally am a big fan of small businesses and supporting local. One of the things that Ocean View Church does is to have Zumba classes to help the church-goers get more fit. Since I'm a big big big Zumba addict, I love it because it is a way for me to get some exercise without feeling like I'm a hamster on a wheel. I was introduced to this location for Zumba via my favorite Zumba instructor (Zumba Jammer). One of his students decided to start teaching. I've been to her classes several times - and she is really talented! Proper warm-up and cool-downs with lots of fun songs, choreographies, and excellent fitness moves. Great energy and a great workout!! Miles, the lead pastor of the church has a special spiritual gift of reaching all types of people. With his biblical teachings coupled with his personal testimonies, wisdom, and discernment his message is powerful, moving, and motivating. In addition, with many others of the church that share their spiritual journeys, along with special guests as well allow for significant spiritual growth and life-changing transformations to happen. I feel that my life feels more gratifying. satisfying, more peaceful, more loving, grounding, forgiving, and really my eyes consistently focused on God because of the difference the San Diego Rock church has made in my life. The San Diego Rock church is great for spiritual growth as well as connecting with like-minded people, but it's how you decide to live your life once you leave church on a daily basis. So many people have transformed their lives for the better, not perfect but improved due to continued spiritual inspiration that the San Diego Rock church represents. No matter what church you attend, I hope it is a powerful, inspiring, and life changing journey for your life. May you be blessed!

Did you know they have a superior summer camp they run at Point Loma Nazarene University? I came across it on a walk and was so impressed with the way staff was handling the camp population and visitors. I spoke with some young men from all over San Diego and Las Vegas! They were having the "best time of their year" they said and love staying in the dorms and meeting so many other young people of faith. I saw cornhole games and ping pong tables by the library and other games scattered around campus. There were also many chaperones and information tables set up for check ins and safety. It happens every year and I highly recommend you consider sending your children to this summer camp! Go on their website to check dates and availability! Great Summer Camp!

They also offered shuttle buses from the parking that is a little bit farther away, which we did not use. We just parked at Vons for the time and walked over. There was a huge line just to get in, but the lines moved very quickly and efficiently. Everyone was very kind and explained everything where we needed to go. After you lineup, they do offer translation in different language if you needed, can you go into the tent where they separate you into different group with a Guide. And your God will take you inside from the bottom to the top and coming back down to the exit. They do offer bunch of wheelchairs and do have elevator inside the temple. However, they do not allow strollers or big backpacks. Before you go inside the temple there are people putting on shoes protect booties on for you and also they take it off for you in the end. During the tour you go through a lot of different rooms, including where people get baptized, dressing rooms ceremonial rooms and some beautiful hallways. You could not take photos inside, which is understandable, but there are a lot of opportunities that you can take photos outside. It's once in a lifetime experience so I recommend you go check it out before they close for the public again.

Well, for a limited time, the public is actually being invited inside the Mormon Temple. It's Free. The last time this happened was in the early 1990s, and the open house ENDS July 11, 2026. With no future public visits unless you're a member. Whether you're curious about the architecture, the history, or simply want to see the inside of one of San Diego's most recognizable landmarks, here's what you can expect. 1. The reservation times are for crowd control. You can arrive at anytime. There is no reservation check. 2. Upon entry you will eventually be in a with a guide. It's very brief speakings about the sanctuary but not much. 3. Wear appropriate clothing. You are entering a temple. Casual wear is perfectly acceptable. 4. There are hundreds of people but the crowd control is efficient. Adults, children, teens, all are welcomed. So many groups and families. It was beautiful to watch. 5. The photography watchdogs are S-E-R-I-O-U-S. Even if you are slick enough to get a pic, the photos will be removed from the website. Yes, that much power. And that's why I removed a star. The secrecy is unsettling. 6. Parking is ample and limited. I arrived at 220 pm and there was a parking car line for on site parking which was available. There are additional lots on executive drive and shuttles to take you to the temple. 7. Walking and steps. If you have limited mobility, then you will only have access to some parts of the temple. There are wheelchairs to assist, make sure to inform one of the members. 8. You can take as many photos of the property and gardens as you desire on the outside. Some members are assisting with photos so you don't have to squeeze into a selfie. 9. Plan to spend 1.5-2 hours. The beauty and quietness in spirit of this temple makes you speechless. Mormonism is not my thing but if it was, this place of worship and service would be awe-inspiring. "Never lose an opportunity of seeing something new. For beauty is God's handwriting." -Ralph Waldo Emerson

Immediately I felt welcomed and knew this was a church that provided sermons that were not misleading, even when I did not want to hear it, and kept my attention, which was very important to me. The fact that they provide complementary coffee and refreshments is just an example to the kindness that you see within this church. Although it is small and the parking may not be ideal at times, I understand that they are in the midst of finding a home to accommodate everyone and those new like myself. I always joke around with my mom on the phone and say I will cry if I ever have to move and leave this church because I finally found one that resonates with me. If you are wondering about attending, don't hesitate, the Lord is calling you here, and even if I had to move back... I would drive here just to attend. Stay blessed! -Gabby

God gave Pastor Rick and Kay Warren the dream to plant a church for people who didn't like church, and he led them to Southern California. Our first service was held on April 6, 1980. Over the next 43 years, we witnessed God perform miracle after miracle as we moved locations, raised money for permanent buildings, launched campuses in California and around the world, and baptized over 50,000 people. In September 2022, we welcomed Pastor Andy Wood as our new lead pastor. As we step into the future, we’re believing God will do more than we could ever ask for or imagine.
