I been coming for a month now. These past two weeks I haven't had time to go out and have drink. While that's never been issue I'm enjoying not having drink of alcohol in two weeks. The past two's I have learned about who actually can say who am I. Today i learned about good and bad soul ties. Let me tell you i never broke down in a church in my life. I can't believe how I let the devil show me false happiness and lies and the way I let bad soul ties happens. I also learned that if you don't forgive them. You will always have bad toxicity in you and will never move forward. Today I have forgiven the people who I have hurt and who have hurt me. God has not given me happiness but is giving me joyfulness and I'm very thankful and I can't wait to see what gods plan is for me. If you do not forgive you will not receive forgiveness

My family and I absolutely love it here. This is a really friendly and down to earth Church. You do feel welcomed and cared for here. It really is one big family. If you are looking for a Christ centered Church that also offers you fun activities, morale boosting events and lots of opportunities for inner growth, then this is your place to visit.

Theologically sound church and amazing community with genuine people. The college ministry (18-24) is amazing, very active, and they meet every Tuesday night at 7pm! I felt welcomed from the moment I went there and the Senior Pastor (John) even introduced himself to me and remembered my name the next time I talked to him. The sermons are heavily Bible based as ap posed to churches that just sprinkle verses in and the worship is Jesus centered. The worship band even produces their own music that they sometimes play. I can't recommend this church enough. It is the best church I've gotten to be a part of and they teach the true Gospel while fostering a great community of love, support, and acceptance.

Our pastor and amazing worship band!

I Love this Church! Biblical. Life application. Truth in love and humble sermons. Worship - still amazing or better! Total contemporary style worship. Modern. Love the people! Been going about 2 years and have felt welcome from day one. It always takes time to build relationships so I'm growing in new friendships but serving and volunteering helps! Always something fun going on too! This church is VERY growing focused -from super young kids all the way up! Lots of great kids opportunities! Camps and clubs and great leadership!

This is one of the most welcoming and encouraging churches I've been to. Friendly pastors and staff. Great for children too!

Miles, the lead pastor of the church has a special spiritual gift of reaching all types of people. With his biblical teachings coupled with his personal testimonies, wisdom, and discernment his message is powerful, moving, and motivating. In addition, with many others of the church that share their spiritual journeys, along with special guests as well allow for significant spiritual growth and life-changing transformations to happen. I feel that my life feels more gratifying. satisfying, more peaceful, more loving, grounding, forgiving, and really my eyes consistently focused on God because of the difference the San Diego Rock church has made in my life. The San Diego Rock church is great for spiritual growth as well as connecting with like-minded people, but it's how you decide to live your life once you leave church on a daily basis. So many people have transformed their lives for the better, not perfect but improved due to continued spiritual inspiration that the San Diego Rock church represents. No matter what church you attend, I hope it is a powerful, inspiring, and life changing journey for your life. May you be blessed!

Did you know they have a superior summer camp they run at Point Loma Nazarene University? I came across it on a walk and was so impressed with the way staff was handling the camp population and visitors. I spoke with some young men from all over San Diego and Las Vegas! They were having the "best time of their year" they said and love staying in the dorms and meeting so many other young people of faith. I saw cornhole games and ping pong tables by the library and other games scattered around campus. There were also many chaperones and information tables set up for check ins and safety. It happens every year and I highly recommend you consider sending your children to this summer camp! Go on their website to check dates and availability! Great Summer Camp!

GETTING HERE: Head…read moreon Interstate 5 towards San Diego. Follow the signs and you'll be able to locate it. (I would recommend the Nobel Drive off-ramp if you're heading South). MOOD: Ready for some spiritual uplifting and peaceful vibes. REVIEW: This is not an LDS church building, as Yelp and possibly other Yelpers are under the impression. This is a sacred Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; not a "Mormon Temple". This Temple was dedicated in 1993, for which I went through the Open House then and it was just as magical and spectacular as it was earlier this month, July 2026. The reason why this was open to the public for tours presently is because it was retrofitted and earthquake-proofed and was in need of mandatory updating and renovations. Due to those reasons, it needed to be rededicated. After the dedication, it will no longer be open to the public for tours. (This data is important because in reading other reviews, people were misinformed). This Open House was an amazing experience. From the youth volunteers, to the missionaries, to everyone in-between. Thank you for your dedication and service to the Temple.

We were then walked over to someone who told us the general rules of not taking photos or videos inside. They had people help put on shoe covers to protect the carpet cleanliness and also helped us take them off once we were done. The tour guide was happy to answer any questions as we walked through the temple. - EXPERIENCE - As a whole, the tour was very nice and I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to see the temple. However, I was a bit uncomfortable after a staff interaction. We were clearly speaking English to other people as we went into the tent, but once we sat down, one staff member came up to our group and immediately started speaking Mandarin. Whether if some of us understood her (actually only 3/10 of us) or not, the fact she assumed we would know was a bit off-putting and made me feel uncomfortable. It's not like we were speaking Mandarin amongst ourselves before she came up to us either. That was the only negative part of our experience.

God gave Pastor Rick and Kay Warren the dream to plant a church for people who didn't like church, and he led them to Southern California. Our first service was held on April 6, 1980. Over the next 43 years, we witnessed God perform miracle after miracle as we moved locations, raised money for permanent buildings, launched campuses in California and around the world, and baptized over 50,000 people. In September 2022, we welcomed Pastor Andy Wood as our new lead pastor. As we step into the future, we’re believing God will do more than we could ever ask for or imagine.
