What a fun night. You can eat a buffet of food. So many kinds that you can't say, I can't find anything I like. There so much you will have to make it a weekly night out to try them all for at least five months. My favorite spot for the price is the Hunter Steakhouse tri tip stand. Melts in your mouth. The other stand was the Mediterranean dips- Baba foods. Again, so many choices. There is always music and lots to see and do. If I lived here, I would be there every Thursday night. read more

This farmers market is worth the drive! There's so much here, it makes a lot of other farmers markets look dwarfed in comparison. They have so much food here and everything I've tried is delicious! All the vendors here are lovely & super kind. There's limited tables though, so I would come early and grab one if you want to actually sit. Otherwise there's limited seating that isn't the curb. I haven't been to the Oceanside farmer's market in a long time. I didn't realize they expanded it a bit so there's more vendors. I love eating, buying groceries, buying skincare, and getting sweet treats! There's always a variety of things to look at. Everyone is always so nice. A little pushy, but nice. It was a beautiful day in Oceanside. I only wanted to take a walk at the beach, but ended up here. I got persimmons at Valley Center Growers INC. They were pretty good. I then got purple & green grapes at Heritage Family Farm. They were good, but I think I waited too long to eat them later. Then I got a ranch dip at Sky's the limit dips. I bought sample serums from Kalen & Rose. I got a delicious Swedish cake from Anna's Swedish treats. I got a Ube cream filled donut from Bomb Bomb Donuts. It was so good! The cream was excellent! The last thing I got was a mango moisturizer cream from Purple Rain Lavender. It smelled yummy! The owner is so nice and I love her brand name! She's a Prince fan just like me! read more

Pretty solid farmers market on a Thursday morning. Got lucky and found street parking nearby right away. I think the farmers market is a good size! Fair amount of vendors; produce, flowers, plants, clothing, food and everything in between. During my recent visit, I came home with two beautiful plants for $5 each, easy transaction thru Venmo. I also brought home a jar of Chili Crisp seasoning from Nom-Stop for $8. It's my new favorite thing I'm putting it on everything and service was nice at the booth. Lastly, I needed a refresher so I tried the hibiscus iced tea from New York gyros. Service was the best among all the vendors. Food looked great, I'll try that next time. They have a small seating/eating area near the food vendors which is a plus. Pier/beach is not too far walk from here. read more

With only about a dozen tents setup, this one is small for a Farmer's Market. Walking through, a coffee shop can be found, as well as a taco spot. Yet, unsurprisingly, the bulk of them are predominately fish sellers. This isn't bad, if you're here for fresh Rock Fish or Spot Prawns ... though, the latter did give me pretty horrible food poisoning. Really wish I hadn't enjoyed that Amaebi so much. But, as long as you're throughly cooking your food bought from here, the Oceanside Farmer's Market can probably serve you pretty well. You're not going to find a broad range of food or goods to browse through, but if you know what you want and are you sure you can get it at a seaside market, this can be the place for you. Just don't be like me and remember that any fish you get here was likely freshly caught in the ocean ... which means parasites ... which means you need to cook it properly before eating it. INSANE market pricing has completely ruined the community feel of so many SoCal fairs and farmers markets. When did local markets stop being places regular families could actually enjoy? I'm sorry, but $12-15 for lemonade, juice, or a coconut drink is absurd. These are some of the highest markup items imaginable, yet somehow this pricing has become "normal" because people keep accepting it. And no -- this isn't just "inflation." A packet of drink mix does not cost 5x what it used to. Lemons and coconuts did not suddenly become luxury goods. What's frustrating is that markets used to feel joyful and accessible. When I was growing up, even families on tight budgets could go to fairs, snack all day, try things, and make memories. Now a family can easily spend $150-300 on a few drinks and basic food. We love foo and spending on trying new things. That changes who gets included. Vendors absolutely deserve to make a profit. If someone is creating truly handmade artisan goods, specialty food, or something labor-intensive, charge accordingly. But charging luxury prices for basic drinks and hot dogs is pushing community events into "wealthy people only" territory. And here's the irony: lower prices would probably create MORE sales volume and a better atmosphere. If drinks were $4-5 instead of $15, families would buy multiple drinks instead of walking away entirely. We need to stop pretending these prices are normal. If enough people politely refuse overpriced food and drinks -- and tell vendors why -- maybe markets can become enjoyable and accessible again instead of feeling like a luxury outing. read more

Found the daytime market while exploring the beautiful city of Oceanside. Very close to the beach is open Thursdays in the morning and again in the early evening. A lot of food stalls with a huge variety of choices, prepared food with many places that have samples, beautiful fresh flowers and all kinds of gifts. There is a charming vendor who makes jewelry out of old typewriter keys. There are purses made from bamboo, all kinds of unique gifts Feels more like a street festival BUR that's fine. I really kike Oceanside with its California beach town vibe and friendly locals plus a huge pier and beautiful beaches. read more

The Oceanside Farmers Market on Thursday mornings from 9AM to 1PM is a great place to shop for produce from various farms and also pick up a bite to eat from one of the many food vendors. Most of the vendors are spread along Pier View Way between the 101 and Ditmar street as well as mostly food vendors between Mission Avenue and Pier View Way on N. Freeman Street. I got some barbecue for lunch as well as some mead from Meadiocrity and avocados from Heritage Family Farms. Some of the same vendors also participate later in the same day at the Sunset Market but might move to the other side of the 101. Bathrooms are available in the Oceanside Public Library and that's also a good place to sit down and eat around the fountain if you purchase some food. This review's for the Thursday night market that runs from 5-9pm. This is a cool market with a funky ambiance, lots of great food items to choose from, from roasted tri tip to banh mi to NYC style pizza. It was pretty busy during the evening, but if you come early you can find close parking. There's also several musicians, clothing, and specialty items and more. The only negative is in the crafts area - as another reviewer noted, there's a lot of wholesale Amazon products that are bulk manufactured junk. Come for the food and the music. A lot of the things sold are wholesale Amazon products that are $10-15 markup There are barely any "real" artist here who craft their jewelry, bags, or clothes. All bulk manufactured junk. The jewelry, fruits, and vegetables are so expensive. Go to the local thrift and you'll find beautiful sterling silver at actual sterling silver prices. When you browse too long and find something you really like then the owner tells you a basic 925 ring is $70 keep walking. I complimented another woman's jewelry and she responded "you can like it all you want but that doesn't pay the bills" Well you are selling junk silver for David Yurman prices soooo idk what to tell you lady. They all claim it's authentic or handmade, as I pull up my phone and find the same items for half the price. I got my years worth of very delicious and price effective honey. Great place to go for a walk but don't look at the items too hard if you're just looking the vendors get antsy and rude. Besides that this spot is really catered to the tourists, which is a shame because I wish we had a local farmers market where you can actually shop without spending $80 on fruits alone. read more

I'm so glad visited Oceanside on Thursday. It was a perfect way to walk around for the Thursday morning farmers market from 9 to 1. They had veggies, pastries, gifts, music, and more! Someone told me they make a special trip just to get some cannolis from this vendor! I got them and they were delightful! They also have the Thursday night market from 5-9pm. It was pretty busy during the evening with a lot more vendors too. There were several musicians, a lot more food to choose from, clothes, specialty items and more. Whenever we are in a new town, we always want to go to a farmers market if they have one. We were so happy that the day we were in Oceanside, there was a farmers market right near where we were. We had to go to it! We were really impressed with the number of stands that they had and all the different items such as cannoli and kombucha and cherries and blueberries and all kinds of wonderful things. We were on vacation in SD and saw the news article for the annual Filipino Cultural Celebration in Oceanside Civic Center Plaza. Great timing as my mom was craving Filipino food. The event was open air with many vendors selling food, trinkets,etc. We stayed a while and watched some Filipino performers displaying traditional costumes and dances. We had a great time. read more

The other homemade specialty foods were plenty to choose from. So I ended up with wine from Barrel Riot, red, Dumplings(bokchoy)from Hong Kong Cuisine, Sourdough from Le Rendez-Vouz, cookies from Mommas Boy Cookies, red velvet was top knotch(Veteran Owned) delicious dips from Baba Foods, and some great hot sauce and rub from Red Beards. Wonderful farmer's market near the pier! This is a great spot to stop by on Thursday morning before heading to the beach. We walked over from the pier and grabbed a couple tamales and coffee for breakfast. Then a mix of strawberries and fresh produce to have for lunch. The strawberries were amazing and all of the produce we bought were crisp and flavorful. If you are looking for non- food items, there are plenty of vendors selling crafts too. Located across from City Hall, and on the same street as Handel's Ice Cream the farmers market is a few blocks filled with food, fun, art, and everything in between. I stopped by with my parents after coming back from the SD passport agency both to get a bite to eat and to check it out. I loved how its outdoors, pet friendly, and just a cool relaxed vibe. It was chilly when we went, but id recommend maybe going when its warmer, or suit up with some warm clothes, a jacket, take Fido with you and hot coco in hand. After a family emergency caused us to re-route our family vacation, we wound up in Oceanside. Lucky for us, our stay spanned over a Thursday so we were able to take part in the Farmer's Market both the day and evening versions. During the day, expect a more traditional market with lots of fresh produce, baked goods, and a few unexpected goodies like homemade kombucha or tea blends. The market is pretty robust IMO and the crowd was manageable. We scored some delicious fresh citrus, fresh baked cookies, and some flowers. The evening version of the market was amplified; lots more vendors including a ton of food vendors. We noshed on veggie dumplings, Belgian French fries, pozole, and pad Thai. There is something for everyone to eat for sure. Many of the vendors from the morning are there except the produce/farmers. My daughter snagged a cute pair of earrings. Both during the day and evening we found free parking nearby that was extremely accessible. All in all, a great market to check out. 5 Stars goes to one vendor called Jerky Brothers. They really have a some great tender high quality jerky. I came across their booth during a recent visit. The market was already packing up but the lady working the booth was so nice and offered a free sample that ended up costing me 3 bags worth of tasty jerky. One of the locals actually told us about the Oceanside Farmers Market that happens every Thursday from 5-9 PM. When we looked it up, it was called Oceanside Sunset Market (they're the same thing). So we headed down to Mission Avenue that evening. Parking was a nightmare! There was a lot of construction and the nearest parking lots were filled. After driving around, we were lucky to snag a spot when someone pulled out! You have to pay to park, it cost us about $5! But it was so worth it! Wow, the market was amazing! It's filled with so many vendors, food trucks, and games! There are plenty of activities to keep the kids occupied and entertainment for adults too! Musicians were playing on the street, any food you could possibly imagine was being sold, as well as clothes, jewelry, and other hand made items! It took up around four blocks and it was just so fun to look at everything! We stopped at a couple of booths. I had a delicious shrimp taco at Evelie's Seafood! The shrimp was so fresh and the special sauce really had a spicy flavor! Also, they only take CASH at that booth, so make sure you have some on you (a couple of booths were like that, but a majority was able to take card). Another favorite was Choc-Kabobs! Chocolate covered strawberries?! Yes please!! They dipped it fresh in the chocolate right in front of you and you had the option to pick dark, milk, or white! We ended up going with the milk chocolate that was absolutely delicious!! We also stopped at a macaron booth too from Big Joy Family! They were so kind and had plenty of special deals. We got the bubble gum flavored macarons that were in the shape of a rainbow! All of their treats were so cute! The market had plenty of gluten-free and vegan options as well! There seemed to be something for everyone! We had such an amazing experience here and I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area! read more

I will set alarms and drive across town to visit the Vista Farmer's market on Saturdays. This one, not so much. Every time I visit, I'm left unimpressed. I think it's great for tourists; they can pick up a few basic fruits or veggies to balance eating out all the time down here. They can pick up an apron with a sports logo or panoramic pier art. There's purses, dresses, jewelry, scented oils and more. It's like a mini craft show. At the far end of the street are food vendors. Sometimes I pick up a raw honey or homemade caramel or something, but I can't do enough of my produce/junk food (pastry, bread, etc) shopping to ever go out of my way to come here. It's nice to walk through to kill time and people watch. Overall, I recommend this farmer's market if you are staying within walking distance of this place. Don't go out of your way to come here- you can't get every vegetable to make a stir-fry, salad, curry, or even a basic stew with. P.S.- if I was a tourist, I'd give a higher star rating just because I'd be happy to have access to some oranges and figs. BuT i'M nOt OnE!! If we had enough time we were able to buy food from there. The farmers market is a fun place to walk with your family. There are many different things you can buy and that is why the farmers market is unique because it represents different cultures in the Oceanside community.
