Basically a series of booths selling olive oil baskets, some fruits and vegetables and not much else. It was a very nice add to the plaza and I'm happy that I had the opportunity to see it because my intention was just having a coffee shop The Press espresso. This plaza is very charming, with a lot of trees, boutiques, coffee, shop, restaurants, and big Central space to enjoy the farmers market itself or other activities, this is a must visit in Temecula.

I came here just to try Press Espresso, one of few shops and eateries at this plaza, but didn't realize it was in such a historic place. I initially thought all the shops here were recently build to look like the old west, but in reading about the history on its website, learned that this area has been in existence since 1867. According to the website, it has been the heart of Temecula since then. Originally built by German immigrant, Louis Wolf, it was used as a trading post next to Temecula Creek. After his death in 1905, area was purchased by Arizona cattle baron, Walter Vail, who turned it into a cattle ranch. In 1964, it was sold to developers who turned it into a master-planned community. The area remained vacant for several decades until it was restored fully in 2007. This place now houses several unique shops and eateries, and is also used for events and Farmers Market. This is actually a plaza within a bigger plaza, which has more commercial retailers like Kohl's, Walmart, Marshalls, and several others. Kind of an odd mix, but glad the city decided to keep a portion of its history alive.

The Murrieta market nights farmers market in Temecula Valley gas do much to offer. It is bigger…read morethan the promenade market, vail market, and Temecula market. There is lots of local vendors, food trucks, artisans selling handcrafted goods. There are also several shops and restaurants open in the area. Live music acts through the market. Kid and family friendly. I highly recommend this farmers market happening in historic Downtown Murrieta on the first and third Thursday of each month from 5-9 p.m.

The prices are a little high but it's well worth it to support our local farmers. The fruits and veggies are always nice and fresh. There aren't nearly as many vendors on Wednesdays but if you are just going for fruits and vegetables you won't be disappointed. Angel Farms is my favorite vendor but I do like them all. Atkins nursery from Fallbrook comes down and they always have local avocados.

It was a beautiful day in Oceanside. I only wanted to take a walk at the beach, but ended up here. I got persimmons at Valley Center Growers INC. They were pretty good. I then got purple & green grapes at Heritage Family Farm. They were good, but I think I waited too long to eat them later. Then I got a ranch dip at Sky's the limit dips. I bought sample serums from Kalen & Rose. I got a delicious Swedish cake from Anna's Swedish treats. I got a Ube cream filled donut from Bomb Bomb Donuts. It was so good! The cream was excellent! The last thing I got was a mango moisturizer cream from Purple Rain Lavender. It smelled yummy! The owner is so nice and I love her brand name! She's a Prince fan just like me!

Most of the vendors were friendly and some offered samples. It's perfect because it's outside the promenade away from the crowdedness (far from the stores & close up parking) and you're not worrying about people driving through. The have produce, most organic, honey & gifts like jewelry etc. There are at least three or more in Temecula and this ones nice.

There's something for everybody and something special you can find! I loved the fresh baked goods from 1 stand, the biltong meat sticks, and the Carribbean food. The parking can get crazy so take what you can find. I am annoyed there is no seating at the market so you can enjoy your meal. I couldn't even find a public trashcan. I wish it was a more friendly place for the prepared food where the market is open later and you don't have to stand to eat your food.

Vista's market does not.
