But don't worry that a student is doing the work because they have had enough training at this point to know what they are doing AND there is an instructor who monitors their work and guides them when/if they need it. Then the instructor comes over at the end and checks the cut to ensure that it is done properly and that you are satisfied with it. I have left with a less than perfect haircut before, but I am never dissatisfied. You can get your hair washed/conditioned and cut for $6. I usually tip $4, which brings my total investment to $10 - still well under what you would pay at most any salon or barber, and you are supporting a good cause, helping these students learn a trade. The children would never have shoes on, they would always have snot to their ankles, they would bite each other multiple times before anyone even noticed. I'm giving them three stars because of one stellar caregiver who works there. I wish her the best because I could always count on her to keep an eye on my baby. We both been working in ceramics for about the same amount of time, but she honestly makes me feel like I'm standing still compared to her. If you know me, if you know my drive for ceramics- you know I'm very passionate & chasing knowledge. Seeing this studio space. The walls of clay and glaze test tiles are works of art in their own!!!! The kilns! Ohhhh my, the kilns. I have kiln envy, mine is small... and old.... they have all the kilns! It's really is spectacular to see how advanced this program is. And i met one of the other students while I was there! Love the tiny bit of the school I was able to see. And the campus is crazy. That stadium smack in the middle!
