We are transitioning to being full time and can't wait for that to happen. I gave 4 stars because there is always room for improvement, but overall our feeling is "too good to be true" for so many of the good things. Some of the houses need updating due to the age. Sometimes it's just cosmetics, as they have been owned by the same retired folks for decades and naturally need a little TLC to bring them more up-to-date feeling or to fit today's lifestyles, but they come at a price that makes updating affordable. Low amenity fees include marinas, tennis/pickleball, fitness center, walking trails, golf, lakefront beach and picnic areas. Low county property taxes also add to the value. As with all HOA communities, there can be things that are a little annoying, opinions that differ, or it can feel a little cliquish, but overall the setting is gorgeous, feels like a forest, and the amenities and common areas are well kept. Neighbors are very friendly (well, mostly...there are a few grumps but they are the minority). Massive renovations are taking place and are to be finished in 2019, making an already nice place way nicer, and still incredibly affordable. One common misconception is that it's retirement only, and while that does make up a large percentage, there are more and more younger members, families with children and middle age range people moving in. With today's technology and the ability for many to work from a home base, it opens this community up to a way wider range than may have been attracted to it before. This is a neighborhood of tremendous value and it is worth looking into if you are searching for a lakeside community with wonderful amenity options that your whole family can enjoy, at a very reasonable price.

I was able to walk to see what would be my unit and made a decision to rent with them that same day. They are in a great location and easy access from Hwy 76. I really like the fact that they have carts available to help you move your things. One of the rolling carts is in bad shape and might need replacing, but the others are in good shape. My husband and I visited the shelter yesterday. We were pleasantly surprised. After reading the…read morecurrent posted review, we didn't know what to expect. We found the shelter to be very clean for the animals. The cats were in nice big cages with hammocks for them and they were well fed and watered and there was no smell from the cats as their cages were very clean. The dog kennels were also very clean and so were the animals. We both felt that the reception area could be kept neater, but we found the small staff there very friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate adopting from or relocating to this shelter.
