We found the shelter to be very clean for the animals. The cats were in nice big cages with hammocks for them and they were well fed and watered and there was no smell from the cats as their cages were very clean. The dog kennels were also very clean and so were the animals. We both felt that the reception area could be kept neater, but we found the small staff there very friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate adopting from or relocating to this shelter.

I went to donate a flat panel tv there after I got off of work. They have recently put up a sign…read moreand camera stating that if you do not donate during their working hours you are littering and will be prosecuted. Well... their working hours are the same as most everyone else's- so I would now have to take time off of work to go give them something for free to help them stay in business- an insane policy when your business runs on donations. Wish them the best as I support their mission, but I will not be using my vacation time just to donate some goods.

My work team did a service day and selected Hope Harvest Food Bank as our place to serve our…read morecommunity. I found this group on the website volunteermatch.org. I was contacted within a couple hours of submitting an information request and set up a day and time for my group within a day! Arriving at the location was easy with the directions, signage, and big parking lot. We filled out some simple paperwork and were lead into the back. Our leader gave us a quick history of the food bank and the amount of people they serve, its incredible! Families can come 1x/month. We were lead into the food pantry back where instructions were given about produce packing, pantry item distribution, and building carts of food based on family size. It was very organized and easy to do. We had a great time meeting other volunteers, learning about the food bank, and giving carts of food to those in need. It was sad bringing carts of food out to people and never receiving a "thank you." It makes you wonder what happened to these people that they don't show gratitude to the volunteers of Harvest Hope. I hope the workers get an overflow of blessings and gratitude in other ways.

We actually tried to find original owner cause could believe he was lost but no success. He passed august year ago and missed greatly. Chloe is a great traveler with me as my job moved me on contracts. But SHES still by side and loves her sweaters and dresses, and pup cups. Thankful for my adoptions and brought much joy in our lives. (Ps. Roscoe traveled with my son to his union contract jobs and loved his own bed in motels.)

A.I.M. really does a great job in the Anderson community in helping those who are down on their…read moreluck. It is made up of many local Anderson churches. They all pool their resources together and even have a Food Panty open for those citizens who are unable to buy food. They also provide shelter, medical help and other free aid to those in need......
