I have donated here 4xs. After the 3rd time I wasn't sure if I would return.... but let me start from the beginning. I found out about donating plasma for pay thru another site. And I thought this would be a simple way to earn alil pocket money for gas and coffee. My inital visit was long and frustrating. This facility is a decent size, its sterile, but the TYPE of ppl who come here are what could possibly deter others from coming. Clearly we all could use alil extra, but be clean smell clean look clean and keep thr loud talk down!! The staff here for the most are pretty good and can find your vein stick you once without bruising you.. which makes the experience easier mentally. Yet there is one shoet white lady with blonde hair who does not know what the hell she is doing many ppl have complained abkut jer methods and yet she remains. She needs retraining and should not be allowed to stick any donater at all! My experience with her on my 3rd donation led me to reconsider donating again. Not only that but I was unable to comoketw my donation due to my lack of comfort because she pushed the needle (which has a large gauge) to deeply into my vein, then she turns the needle while in my arm... If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I had blood in my stool the day after donating and went to get checked out. Urgent care doctor said I was fine and it wasn't related. I go back to donate plasma and they make me get paperwork filled out by the doctor. Urgent care doctor wouldn't fill out paperwork so then I had to go to PCP. He filled out paperwork and said I was fine to donate but still wanted me to get a colonoscopy. $700, an urgent care visit, a PCP visit, a gastroenterologist visit, and a colonoscopy later, everything checks out that I'm perfectly healthy. But now because of the scope that was used in my colonoscopy, I'm deferred 4 months from donating plasma. So now I have no income from donating plasma plus now I owe $700 in medical bills. Crock of crap if you ask me. I won't be going back. I can't wait 4 months to figure out how to make ends meet. read more

I was given an express pass by a supervisor there because I had to wait a long time for whatever reason. I came in yesterday to donate plasma and the line was long so I went in my wallet to pull out my express pass. The supervisor Nya Colter informs me that they are not taking express passes due to short staff. I then explained to Nya that having an express pass was for those reasons because if there's more staff there's no need for the express pass in the first place. They can't decide when they take express passes or not because that's unprofessional. Why give out express passes if the customers can't use them? Nya thinks that just because we donate plasma she can treat the costumers anyway by changing the rules. Someone needs to remind her that without the customers she has no job. Seems like every time I come here they stick me twice,always a problem,today they stuck me and then said I need to come back tomorrow and paid me 5 dollars,my arm is swollen and bruised,I won't be back. read more

I've started donating here in 2018. They are very slow. I spend more time in line than in the chair which the donation part takes me only 30 mins. The biggest problem I have with them is if they don't know how to stick you right you will not get paid what you are suppose to get paid. There are a few that stick well but if you go when those people are not there BEWARE. I eat healthy and drink plenty of water so donating should not be an issue but it is when people don't stick right. At least at CSL if they screw up, and trust me they DO, they will still pay me my full amount for that donation. This company only pays you a few bucks if they screw up. Think about that before you choose to come here. It's not worth the long wait in line to get f**ked. read more

I drove my son to the Plasma center and went inside with him. The place is very clean and smells good. Immediately upon entering, Eddie took my son's information and proof of residency, drivers license and social security card. Within minutes he was in the back watching videos and signing medical consent forms. I used their restroom of which there are two and are well stocked and clean. I went outside and walked around the parking lot. Very clean, new and nice safe environment. Overall, I was very impressed with the speed, friendliness of the staff and overall efficiency. My son had donated at he CSL plasma center on Assembly Street. Without going into detail, the experience at Octapharma Plasma was a 5 star and the other center was between a very low 2. I donated at this facility for 6 months. Most of the staff is friendly, but they can be terribly slow. Every visit, I spent no less than 3 hours getting through the whole process and the actual plasma donation for me spanning no more than 30 mins. So, the claim of 90 mins is total bs. The majority of the people whom donate, are loud, rude, and just all in general asses w/attitude. If you are a female that is well groomed, the men whom donate will make you feel incredibly uncomfortable and won't take 'no' for an answer. If the staff makes a mistake or the computers error, the manager will (and has been) rude & threatening with a raised voice w/no provocation. Wifi never works. Either there is no air conditioning or it's broken. The bonus compensation does not compete with what CSL offers (which is more) and the qualifications for receiving the bonuses require more effort than CSL. At Octapharama you have to donate 8 times in a month to receive $5-$20 extra. At CSL, they run different bonus specials every month, but typically, if you donate twice in a week, you'll receive anywhere from $5-$25 extra each week. All of the above is why I switched to CSL which is has a larger office that is able to accommodate more donors at a time; quicker in all aspects; not too many ahole donors; good & reliable wifi; cold AC; and better bonuses. read more
