The quality of screenings is faultless and attention is obviously shown to the quality of the sound and the picture. The auditorium is very spacious yet it feels homely, the seats are comfortable, and as everyone is there for the same thing - to see a quality French film - it is very unusual to have people talking through the screening. The cafe area is also lovely, with a good atmosphere, if a little pricey. If you're a fan of French cinema you can do no better than Cinema Lumiere.

The male employee was inside cleaning alone, and we tried to stay out of the way so he could clean the huge mess in our row. My friend even helped him clean up by collecting trash and putting it in the trash bag. There was chocolate smeared on the seats and popcorn all over the floor. There were people in the other rows and he still cleaned their rows. As he left and more people came in, we realized he would not come back to clean our row. I went outside to ask another staff member if they could come in and clean the seat with chocolate smeared because we had to sit on it (it was a full house). She went and asked him and I overheard him say "well they came in early so I couldn't ask them to move so I could clean, so I'm not going in now because there's people there". The staff member came back to me and told us it was basically our fault for being there early and apparently "in the way". We didn't mind the mind the popcorn on the floor, but the seat was unable to be sat in. She told me we could move to the front, but those seats are priced at a lower cost than what we paid for. We just sucked it up and sat on a shopping bag, but I hope this employee never works a day in customer service ever again.

Unfortunately the seat I was seating in was on the back row and was worn so much it felt almost like I was sitting on a wood plank. For the ladies who always get stuck waiting in the queue for one of two ladies toilets at cinemas, there are plenty of toilets and room to do makeup. The staff a very friendly and went out of their way to help me. There is also free wifi, yay! Over all a pretty good cinema, but they need to sort out there seating!

I mean when the seats are all on one level you sit there hoping and praying you do not get an adult sitting in front of you Ahhh! Leaning to one side for two hours is no fun. However, all of the theatres in Vue North Finchley are stadium style so the seat in front of you is lower than yours giving you a perfect view regardless. The prices are less than in the city centre and cheaper before 5pm Mon-Fri. It does get busy during the evening so bring your debit card and pay at the machines.

Like cinemas in Asia, they have assigned seating but you can switch if the theater isn't too crowded. Seats are comfortable, and are the rocking type. The other difference from USA theaters is that they show more commercials than trailers - that's okay since I find many UK commercials actually funny. BTW - Raid 2 is an excellent action flick that is pure adrenalin rush. A must for all martial arts fans. The fight scenes were intense and the violence over the top (makes Kill Bill look tame). I hope it does well in the USA - it left me speechless and many audience members here gasped at the intensity.

This is (or was) standard practise right across the board of all cineworlds in the UK. Though on the other hand the Film buying practises in the cineworld chain are (or where) very open minded. The theory being to give the local area the films it would like (rather than a heavy dose of hollywood action movies (though they have them there too, this is a multiplex after all!!)). The screens 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 are pretty much the exact same size and shape, except for some small differences in seating layout, Screen 9 is the Vue Xtreme, which is their largest screen, and Screen 1 is very big and only just smaller than 9. Customer service is quite good, in the times I've brought tickets at the counter they've been very friendly and attentive, and also at the ticket gate they've made sure to smile and hope I enjoy the film. Snacks are on the expensive side, so I'd advise bringing your own snacks- they allow it and have done for a few years now. The screen sound systems are really good, you hear zero outside noise and you do tend to get quite absorbed in it. The screen quality is also good, they use Sony 4k Digital projectors, and if you look really closely (I've seen this on the website, I've not attempted it) the pixels are virtually invisible. The photo posted down below is of screen 10. When you're seeing a film in this screen, first you show your ticket at the normal gate upstairs, once they've scanned it, they will then hand you a pin code that you enter into the lock outside screen 10. It's a fairly small space, the seats however are very comfortable, with plenty legroom, the same sound experience you get from the main screens, and as there aren't many seats here, anywhere you sit is a good distance from the screen.
