They seem to have a good variety of annuals, shrubs, trees and perennials - beautifully cared for and everything appears to be healthy and strong. My favorite part, however, was the fact that I felt at ease having my toddlers run around. They had some birds on viewing in a little aviary, a little ride-on toy, and several sturdy (aka not easily broken) toys for them to tinker with. As we checked out for the day, the woman at the counter even invited them to grab a free little trinket animal. Adorable pot holders im shapes of owls, rabbits and frogs amongst other. A blinding array of seed packets. A little corner of clearance items. Wind chimes, metal decorations and so many other things I didn't have time to see. The greenhouse area had different types of plants, seedlings and soil. Turns out there are new owners who have rebuilt an aging greenhouse with more durable materials and are back open to the public. The environment is clean and organized. I don`t do these reviews and I have been a very faithful customer and believer of Ernies Store for…read moremore than 50 years,,,,,but now I have to do something because I am not getting any resolve to my problem. Ernies Store installed a Rigid Core flooring by Paramount throughout our house and had to come back to replace part of it in the kitchen area. It went bad again and said they would have to put in a heavier flooring, but now changed to only giving us a the new glue down flooring but we would have to pay the $2600 labor to do that. This is not acceptable because the original whole house material and labor was $6832.34. The floor is against the North wall of our kitchen, they are trying to claim the sunlight is coming in and heating the floor and causing the problem. There is NO sunlight coming thru that window as it is on North side of house and even has curtains. The manufacturer has been involved and to no avail. The problem is unsightly and seriously dangerous as it is coming apart at the seams. Ernies and manufacturer are very disappointing to say the least. I can`t do business with them and would not encourage anyone else either.

I needed a specific cutter for an order and allowed what I thought would be a reasonable timeframe for purchase and delivery, even sending a follow up email that stated the absolute date I needed the cutter. Cindy sent back a pleasant email saying when the cutter would be sent and gave the delivery window. Not a lot of extra time, but it gave the USPS an extra day beyond the promise date. She then offered the option of $35 overnight delivery. Thanks, but not required based on the delivery information just given. The cutter never arrived, requiring the cookie design to be changed and a bit of back pedaling with my customer. I called Kitchen Collectibles today to find out the status of the order, now not needing the cutter. I was told that the package was returned due to insufficient address information on the address label done by them. She informed me that the package was already out for re-delivery, as if to make me feel like they were "on top of it". When I explained that I needed the cutter for an order, now in the past, and that I had even sent an email after placing the order to prevent what had indeed happened, her response was "Well, I don't really know what to tell you." My business requires me to be so responsive to my customers that the minute I'm not, I lose a sale. It's frustrating to do business with people that haven't a clue about customer service. A simple refund of the shipping or an offer to make good for their mistake would have kept me as a customer. Fortunately, there are other companies who offer similar products.
