My latest experience had finally brought me to the decision to leave this practice for good! I was running a few minutes late and called to let them know because I am aware that most offices have a window of time you must arrive in. I was told it was fine as long as I was almost there. I arrived to the parking lot within 3 to 4 minutes from the phone call and we took about 25 seconds to walk through the office door to the window to check in. I was given the paper work and we went to wait for our appointment. I was then called to the front desk and told that I was 60 seconds past their window of 10 minutes and would not be seen. I asked to speak to the Doctor who would not take the time to come to the front but sent another office assistant who was as cold as the front desk staff. I explained that the woman told me on the phone it was fine if I was almost there and I did make it in the door before the 10 minute window. The office assistant did not care and told me we would not be seen. I asked for my records and I would go else where. They let me walk out without so much as a 'sorry, we hate to see you go" after years of being a patient there. I understand they have a window for appointments but after years of waiting for them to see my children way later than 10 minutes for any appointment I have ever scheduled there, to be turned away over a few seconds is unacceptable.
