After I asked for clarification, he turned to everyone and said, "I'm making sense, right everyone?" which came across as condescending. We also asked about a mushroom tea, and he repeatedly described it as "tasting like medicine" without offering any further explanation. For a shop that specializes in tea, we expected more helpful and welcoming customer service due to the fact they almost have 5 stars. Guess it's like the old saying, can't judge a book by its cover. First floor is cozy with plenty of nooks to sit and be comfortable. I see patrons working, reading or crafting enjoying a drink or a pastry the establishment offers. You can also purchase loose leaf tea they serve as well as their branded merchandise along with local designers. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and I am looking forward to many more visits to the Philosopher's House.
