I awoke with a sore shoulder, and didn't know if I ought to get a massage for it, but decided to try Erika out, since she has had great reviews from a good friend of mine. I opted to rest on a standing chair, while she pressed hard on some sore spots on my back, Under my "left wing" as I called it. I can't even describe the massage I had with Erika in words. We were a group of 5 ladies on a girls trip, all in dire need of some body work and Erika delivered. We all had different needs (all had major knots and stress), but are accustomed to getting body work done, and each one of us left the table in a complete daze and glow. She used some tuning vibration and light cupping as well as an amazingly measured pressure that was perfect (I like it pretty deep). First time I have tried cupping! I was at the Ojai Valley inn Mens Open tournaments 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately I pulled my back 1 day before my match, I could not move my arms or neck... The same day I got injured I received treatment from Erika. I got 25min of cupping and massage, I was able to play and win my first match the next day! I stumbled upon Erika one day when I was shopping and she was doing chair massages. In 15 min she transformed me. I went a few more times then started having her come to my house for table work. Living in a town with a massage school I have had body work by dozens of therapists and never had anyone over to my house (that is how good she is!). She can find knots I didn't know I had. I have a shoulder injury and since getting bodywork from her a couple times a month I can see a big difference in my mobility and have reduced pain. Ninety minutes is gone in a blink and afterwards I am toast. :-) She is warm, professional, and sensitive to what you want in body work (troubled areas of your body, types of pressure, etc). My riding coach set up a regular schedule for Erika to come to the barn and give massages. She is absolutely the best. I'm a writer so I spend a lot of time at a computer. I also ride two horses a day. She has given me such relief from neck and back pain. I also was a ballerina when I was younger and toe shoes had destroyed my left big toe. After one session with Erika the foot is significantly better and I think with her help this problem can be solved completely and spare me a cortisone injection into the joint.
