I wanted to share my good experience with Off grid stoves and more. I was looking for a stove for almost a year. I was very picky in what I wanted to see in my stove. I got burnt(not literally) with a used stove I bought from a different store. That stove was only 1 year old but had a completely ridiculous locking mechanism that wore out really fast and was failing on me before I even installed the stove. Luckily that store was kind enough to take the stove back, but they didn't have another one that suited me. After looking around for a while at lots of different stoves, I realized that the locking mechanism is the weak spot on many stoves and can wear out really fast being expensive or difficult/impractical to replace. I found the stove that I bought from Off grid stoves and more at a different store but was still deciding between it and a couple other stoves. I called Off grid stoves and more and talked to Julie. I asked her about which stove brands they carry and told her that I was still trying to decide between a couple stoves. She asked me which stoves I had in mind. I told her the first one, the Pacific Energy Alderlea T4. She gave me a considerably better price than the other store. I then asked her some questions about my particular, somewhat unusual installation and emailed her the pictures and specs of my alcove. She was very prompt to reply and was very knowledgable in answering all the questions I had. So I went ahead and ordered the stove. A friend of ours said he would come on his truck to pick up the stove, so I called Julie and setup a time to meet and pickup the stove. But then our friend bailed out so I called Julie and told her that we actually can't pick up the stove. To my surprise Scott and Julie actually decided to deliver the stove to my house(not a short drive) and didn't even charge me anything for the delivery ! They also helped me get the stove in the house ! Lots said, basically they were the lowest price I found, very knowledgable in the field, had the right stove to meet my demanding expectations, and didn't nickel and dime me for everything they did for me ! I am very happy with my experience and stove ! It's already installed and burning and we're staying warm and cozy pleasantly ! I very highly recommend Off grid stoves and more ! We purchased the Traverse SP2047 small gravity fed stove about 2 months ago. We couldn't love it more. It is easy to lay out a fire and it keeps our entire 1600 sq. ft. home nice and toasty. We live in a very snowy climate and the stove has no problems heating our home. We can turn it down to low and it will not heat us out of the house. We (the two of us) moved the stove into our home ourselves using a heavy duty appliance dolly. (Harbor Freight - $99). It has double walled pipe and fit beautifully into the existing vent in our high ceiling. 16 ft? It was immediately airtight and we fired it right up. Off-Grid Stoves and More had the best customer service of any company we have used in years!!! They shipped the stove, hearth mat, piping and everything needed to do the project ourselves. They answered every question we had quickly and knowledgeably and we LOVE this stove and couldn't be happier. Note: we had the pellets delivered into the garage and use a cheap luggage dolly ($40) to bring the bags of pellets into the house. We also use little wood and wax starters to stick small pieces (1/2" x 1") into the hole where we use a propane torch to light the stove and it lights in 20 seconds. read more

I recently purchased a new Breckwell wood stove from Off Grid Stoves and More, Sandy, Oregon. This stove replaced one installed in 1978 that had none of the now required approvals. Scott and Julie, owners of Off Grid, did the installation and did an EXCELLENT job. Removal of the old stove, installation of the new stove and stove pipe and cleanup. It was very evident they are experts in their field. The new Breckwell stove is much more efficient than my old unit. Just had the best service & consulting from Julie @ Off Grid Stoves for a new Jotul wood stove. Since I had a Jotul stove for 38 yrs. & had Great service from the stove I decided to upgrade to a newer model (F45). It's the end of wood burning season, & the warehouse was out of this model, but Julie ordered one from the factory in Maine & expedited it , keeping me informed along the way. She was VERY knowledgeable of all stoves & recommended the F45. She also had great tips on sealants , etc. Got a GREAT price also......don't go anywhere else! read more
