They had to extend stove pipe away from the roof, reapply silicon to stove pipe which had not been property cleaned with acetone and then sealed properly, cut additional wood from the roof away from the stove pipe. The Hearth guys will also have to return to install a damper, which was not included. We paid up front; and after that the quality of service took a nose dive.

After their "no show", I called their office and was told that because they couldn't reach me, (which doesn't make since because they had no trouble at all saying that they'll be at my house on the 13th) , that they had rescheduled me for the 20th, which made no sense because I knew I'd be in Frisco on the 20th. She said she'd call me after talking to her boss, or that possibly her boss would call me. Well, neither one happened. It's unfortunate. We visited in early 2022. We were told there wasn't anything to purchase and production was slow because of new regulations, so most were back ordered/would have a wait time to get and install. Nov 2022: I called just to check if inventory/production had improved and the answer was not so much, but he happened to have one fireplace insert that was delivered to the store and was available. We went with it. John set up a time for Jeremy to install it the following week. We were excited to use it and help warm our home. The back plate was bent a little bit but they ordered a replacement and came back out with the new one after it arrived and changed it out! I bought wood in anticipation of this ice storm that's coming, and we are an all electric house except for this fireplace. I received another automated confirmation of my appt Wednesday . After a further miscommunication was cleared up, Kyle came by at 4 and did the job. Laid out a tarp, played with my dog, cleaned the chimney, and patched a small crack in the back.
