As a dog owner you always want to have a well behaved dog. I can't thank Taylor and Off Leash enough!!! We have a German Shepherd, named Eva and she is about a year and nine months old. We got her at eight weeks old and I trained her in English, German, and sign language myself and she knew all her basic commands by 12 weeks old. I took her everywhere and socialized her with everyone and with lots of animals. Unfortunately, she stopped following the commands I taught her after about six months old...it's as if she became a cat and only listened when she wanted. She barked at dogs. She barked at people, jumped up on them, sometimes nipped... I started looking at dog training places and was not impressed with what I was finding in the Prescott area UNTIL I came across Off Leash!!! I watched many videos of Before & After. I read all the reviews online. I'm a big believer if it works for many, it should work for us too. We went with the 21 day top dog program. I felt if we were going to spend the money. We should go all in to allow Eva to be set up for success. WOW!!! Off Leash not only met our expectations but they went above and beyond and we owe it all to Taylor!!! Taylor not only was able to work with Eva on all the basic commands (ones I taught her and some others I hadn't thought about). However, she was also able to teach Eva, a few special commands as well. Please know our dog already had a lot of the foundational basic commands which allowed Taylor to train her on a few extra special ones. Taylor did a great job with correcting Eva's "cat like" behavior AND she doesn't get startled by loud noises any longer. It's amazing the transformation she has gone through and she's even calmer too. It's incredible the night and day difference. No more barking at people or other animals. Dogs bark at her and she just looks at them, it's amazing. I'll I have to do is keep reinforcing her commands which is so easy. Eva has been home for 9 days now and doing an incredible job still. Took my golden retriever in for rattlesnake aversion training. What a great experience - they explained the whats and whys of what was going to happen, and it happened exactly like they said. After the first two encounters with live rattlesnakes my dog wasn't having anything to do with any rattlesnake. Off Leash K9....where should I start. I did my due diligence in researching training companies and decided on Off Leash K9. I have 2 German Shepherds, Scooby and Scrappy-litter mates and wanted them to be trained. I knew the basics but wanted more professional training since these 2 are all power. I first started with the 4 week program and realized how fast they started to learn. After 2 sessions I decided on switching them to the 2 week train and board program, for both. I was apprehensive on sending one of them off for 2 weeks but then started to realize and remember all the destruction they did around the house and some of the behaviors they showed, so I sent them on their way. I was given updated progress videos every couple days and was blown away with the progress they showed. The sessions were staggered so one went one week and the other went the next week. I couldn't be more happier with the training they both received and especially with their trainer. She was really good to them and I could tell they were having fun. Scooby is a very high driven Shepherd where as Scrappy is very low driven and could tell he was having fun. The result was completely night and day, all for the best. Till this day I keep up with their skills: place (extended), sit (extended), off, down (extended) and others. Repetition, repetition, repetition....I don't want them to regress so everyday I continue to practice their skills whether on walks or just in the back yard. Off Leash changed our lives. I couldn't imagine what my German Shepherd's quality of life would have been had we not found Off Leash. We got Chief as a puppy in the summer of 2013. Puppies grow very fast and in the blink of an eye, I had an 11 month old monster of a dog with me. He was a sweet dog but did not know his strength and I did not know how to handle all of that. We learned that the success of the dog doesn't fall on the dog, it falls on the owners. We were told what our expectations were as the owners and the responsibilities we had to ensure our boy was a success. You have to know your dog and what they're capable of IF they do not get the appropriate training. We had looked at other trainers but nothing compared to Tom and OLK9, nothing. No other trainers gave you a guarantee for the life of the dog, no questions asked, no extra charge. The equipment, life time warrenty (for the life of the dog) as well. I had to use it because I failed, got a bit lazy and my dog regressed a bit. 100% my fault. Tom took him back for a very short period and gave him back to me, with a smile, with no demands other than to treat this training as an investment. And we did. Our boy was big and powerful. At times, intimidating to look at, but he was always in control, we always had control of the situation and never had an issue w/ another dog becasue we (the entire family and our boy) were trained to be proactive and not reactive. Chief could have been a very dangerous dog had we not gotten the correct training because I would not have known how to handle him. You know what happens to dogs that are aggressive or bite, they can get put down. It's almost always preventable and there was no way we would have let him get to that point. We had to get him the best we could find. Our boy loved when he got to see his trainer on special occassion. I just had to say his name and Chief's ears perked up and he'd run to the window looking for him. We only had him for 7.5 short years but they were the best years of our lives. He gave us no issues and that was 100% due to his training from OLK9 and Tom. We miss him very much but know that when the time comes again for us to bring in another pup into our home, the only place we're going to have him trained is with Off Leash K9.
