She brought us over to do an evaluation and see how our dogs get along with her Lab and a couple other dogs staying there. Mindy and her husband do such an amazing job at sending us updates with pictures and communicating in a timely manner. It's also nice to know that groups are more intimate so I know my dogs as well as the other dogs staying with them get all the affection and attention they can get! We took him a few times for daycare before we left and he loved it. They were very attentive and he got to play with other dogs and still got his scratches and pets. He wasn't all that excited to leave. We will continue to bring him for daycare so he can see his new doggie and human friends. Enzo boarding experience was just as great as daycare. They continually send pictures and let us know how he was doing but we could see from his face he was having a grand time. We are so relieved to have a place to leave our precious little boy knowing that he is safe, happy and very well taken care of!!! Thank you House of Mutts!!!

As a result, the boys became restless, jealous, no longer listened (well) and taking them on a walk became a chore we dreaded. I wanted a better life for them and me. I discovered TopLineK9 when a St. Bernard was dumped in the Village. When I heard where and how he was being prepared for his forever home, I googled the business and reached out to Stephanie. Wow. Is she just a burning ray of sunshine and joy! We met and the boys and I were hooked. The boys went to school for the 2 week board and train. We met a few times during training to; first ease my fear that my boys would forget me, and to begin to train ME on being a better leader. Once the boys came home the change was palpable. They were actually calm in the mornings when they used to brawl at our feet while we drank coffee. Walk became something to look forward to and we were able to get out to some trails without the dogs barking and lunging at other people and dogs. They are actually listening and looking to me for direction instead of doing whatever they want to do. We are still in the process of doing a few follow ups to make sure that everything "stuck". I think the boys really benefited by being away from me for a few weeks because (I believe) they needed a break from me and my frustrations. I feel blessed to have found Stephanie and her team, they really perform miracles!

My Malinois was unmanageable and had already fractured my knee cap while I was attempting to get any form of control I could. I was at my wits end. The growling, territorialism, lead pulling, and lack of discipline had me ripping my hair out and my nerves on end. After 2.5 weeks (unfortunately it took longer because I came down with Covid around the pick up date. Lee and his amazing crew were kind enough to keep him for me while I got better) I picked up a completely new dog and new set of tools and skills to both manage and train my baby boy. I came out of our pick up session after being trained how to manage my Ozzy. Our first night home he's completely changed into what I needed him to be all along. I'm tearing up writing this because Armor k9 gave my dog the chance to be with me when I move next month. Something that wasn't even an option last month. There's a reason we drive an hour each way up and back from Phoenix EVERY time we need to board a dog. We've had dogs our whole lives and have been faithful clients of Angelo's since we our new blended family found him in 2016. Our last 2 dogs have been working K9s with specific needs. Angelo is very familiar with these dogs as well, and Ares and Hades have always returned home happy and healthy. The facility is fully climate controlled with individual indoor/outdoor runs and is very clean. You won't find 20 dogs rolling around in unsupervised chaos while a bored attendant scrolls through a cell phone here. It's also not a place where your dog returns to you nervous wreck; but fluffy and smelling of baby powder with a ribbon on its head after being confined in a tiny crate for 2 weeks. All things to consider when entrusting your pup to someone else. Angelo knows and understands dogs and is beyond competent with all manner of breeds. I believe he also offers training services if you're in need of things like rattlesnake avoidance (yikes!) You may have to check the website for office hours as they are limited.
