I have completed 12 or so lessons and here are my experiences and I think what you can expect - and…read morewhat I would maybe do differently 1) I do well with the instant video feedback, more often then not I don't realize how jacked up certain parts of my swing are but when you can see it in front of you it makes a huge difference - I feel like Chris my coach was able to pick up a key or two in my swing to fix every time 2) The overall package prices are steep - no doubt about it, I picked up golf later in life after I finished residency/fellowship but certainly I wouldn't have been able to afford it prior to that. I didn't ask/enquire about financing or other payment options but I'd imagine that maybe is an option for some. However, if you factor in what I paid per lesson plus the 'free' 90 minutes of bay time a week it actually isn't a bad deal. 3) for me I took advantage of several of the fittings as well (driver, hybrid, woods) also they do have demo clubs of all the latest models so before I did my fittings I tried all the latest ping, taylormade, callaway, mizuno, titleist clubs during my practice sessions. 4) I would say you should have a good idea of what you actually want to work on - my mistake was working on irons every lesson for my first 7/8 lessons, I wish I would have sprinkled in a driver lesson earlier as I'm only really working on it now. 5) My kids are a little young to be golfing but I do see families come in where a teen is getting a lesson while their (presumably) parent is in the bay next door getting practice in which is also pretty cool - not sure how many places you could do that. There is some downtime typically when you are waiting for a bay if you get there early but the putting green in the main area is great so I generally just mess around there. My pro (chris) is great and certainly a lot of fun to work with would recommend him to anyone visiting.

Probably an odd starting statement for a 5 start review - but I think this is a great and unique…read moreplace but just not for me. --- Large area with multiple open bays and a great practice putting area, has more of a social aspect and I think it would be a great spot if you and friends wanted to rent a bay, or if you have kids and want to play with them on a simulator. I think if my kids were a little older I would really enjoy bringing them here. I booked one lesson and my coach was excellent gave me a great driver swing drill and identified a wrist hinge problem I had - I think it was well worth the price I paid for the lesson. So why wasn't it for me? I wanted an area for more focused practice where I just come in to my bay get my swings in and can practice with cameras and their competitor down the street fits that need a little better for me. They are very different venues and both have pros and cons - if you're like me and want a pure practice schedule with lessons then it may not be as good of a choice. If however, you want to bring kids or use the simulator with friends I think its a great spot.

Complete Sham After…read morereceiving a Swing Evaluation for my Birthday I finally got some free time so I called to schedule it. The guy on the phone (Kyle Newell, Owner, Golftec Louisville) stopped me and asked if I was going to commit to come in every week to "train"... I said I didn't know yet, but my schedule wouldn't allow me the time to come in EVERY week and that the little time that I get, I try to spend on the course actually playing golf... he subsequently said that he "questioned my commitment" to my golf game and that a swing evaluation would just be a waste of time... And of course this is said after it's too late for a refund, which explains his attitude. Furthermore, despite what their website says, this "professional" shop doesn't offer Titleist clubs... or Players Irons, for that matter, only Game Improvement Irons.... Which makes it pretty ironic that they would have the nerve to question anyone's commitment... but I guess if you look at how much they charge to "train" it makes sense that they would try to manipulate/pressure you into more...especially if they already have your money.

I'm still going through a swing deconstruction phase on the way to rebuilding (I've only taken about five lessons of a 40-lesson package), so it's too soon to know what results I'll ultimately see, but I'm pretty sold on the method of instruction here, which relies heavily on video and technology and emphasizes a holistic approach to development rather than relying on spot fixes. Also, the guys who operate the franchise are very friendly and professional, and accordingly I've enjoyed my lesson and practice time at their facilty. We have done another PGA Jr. league and was disappointed with it. Adam is amazing! He is wonderful with the kids and personalizes the experience per kid. After Covid his program became very crowed, but he compensated by having many helpers. If you are trying to get your kid into golf Adam is the one to go too! Our daughter has also taken many private lessons with Russ the Pro at Lassing and he is just as great! He has improved her swing and her confidence that she needed. I would recommend Lassing to anyone. The course itself is rather difficult for a amateur golf like myself, but is very enjoyable to play! They also have a driving range which is nice!

So I try to slink out of there in utter mortification, but Rusty insisted I stay for the yoga class, worked really hard to reduce my embarrassment and never tried to sell me a membership I obviously didn't need. This is why I will return here if my multi-gym pass doesn't work out. Good job, guys! The people you employ represent you well! PS: the yoga class was kickass!

KID'S CLUB STAFF SHOUTOUT. I'm a SilverLake member but I come to BB once a week for basketball. I…read morebring my energetic 2, almost 3, year old son, Nico, every Wednesday around 5:30PM for the past month. They greet him, make him feel welcome, and that's all I expect. But they go way above and beyond. Sometimes I've come down an hour later and they're still engaging with him! He prefers solo play unless it's another toddler he knows so I'm shocked he's playing with them. And I can tell he's getting attention because he doesn't want to leave most of the time. This is never the case at Silverlake, he's always sprinting to the door upset and desperately trying to get out and I only leave him at that Kids Club for only 30 minutes. He was being clingy last week at BB and didn't want to go in (had nothing to do with them, he's just a daddy's boy sometimes), and the employee working the desk was a good sport, reached out her arms, talked him through it, and put up with his whines for who knows how long. I bounced because I knew he was going to cry no matter what we did. I expected them to either reluctantly take him or ask to wait until he's ready, but she was all over it and ready to handle his whiny butt. They're so awesome! It's not that I don't appreciate Silverlake staff at Kids Club because it's an insanely hard job, but the BB staff are just the best. If I had any doubts on keeping my Silverlake membership, BB Kid's Club staff have killed them.
