Complete Sham After…read morereceiving a Swing Evaluation for my Birthday I finally got some free time so I called to schedule it. The guy on the phone (Kyle Newell, Owner, Golftec Louisville) stopped me and asked if I was going to commit to come in every week to "train"... I said I didn't know yet, but my schedule wouldn't allow me the time to come in EVERY week and that the little time that I get, I try to spend on the course actually playing golf... he subsequently said that he "questioned my commitment" to my golf game and that a swing evaluation would just be a waste of time... And of course this is said after it's too late for a refund, which explains his attitude. Furthermore, despite what their website says, this "professional" shop doesn't offer Titleist clubs... or Players Irons, for that matter, only Game Improvement Irons.... Which makes it pretty ironic that they would have the nerve to question anyone's commitment... but I guess if you look at how much they charge to "train" it makes sense that they would try to manipulate/pressure you into more...especially if they already have your money.

I'm still going through a swing deconstruction phase on the way to rebuilding (I've only taken about five lessons of a 40-lesson package), so it's too soon to know what results I'll ultimately see, but I'm pretty sold on the method of instruction here, which relies heavily on video and technology and emphasizes a holistic approach to development rather than relying on spot fixes. Also, the guys who operate the franchise are very friendly and professional, and accordingly I've enjoyed my lesson and practice time at their facilty. I'll post an update in the spring, when I hope to be able to realize the fruits of my off-season labors here!

There are a few mobile bag stands, which don't matter since my bag has its own stand. There are some flags but I don't know the distances. Bathroom was clean. What I don't like is that you have to purchase a special basket of yellow balls if you want to chip or putt on the backside. Pretty lame. Plenty of parking which isn't at risk. No real area to hang out. There are a couple benches but one was in the sun and neither are shaded. Not sure about snacks or drinks. I would advise you to bring water. It's hot out!

The greens crunched under our feet, and two twosomes in front of us practiced bad course etiquette with super slow play. We could not get any rhythm going because we had to wait ten minutes after each hole to play again. The 'pro' shop is just a dumpy shop/ nothing we wanted. Very poorly managed course. It's more expensive than the last course we played, and it was decidedly not worth it. We will not go back. The city is trying to buy the course and I hope they do.

An unkept trashy course with terrible customer service!…read more Had a slight misunderstanding with the owner in which myself and my playing partners were nothing but understanding and compliant. The owner was demeaning, degrading, and made myself and our party as a whole feel unwelcome and rushed. If you're not part of the clique that already plays this course, you'd be smart to take your money and business elsewhere!!

Bought a Taylor Made SIM2 Drive and 3 metal from Golf Galaxy. Called GG yesterday who said SIM2 no problem getting it replaced. Today same store says TM wants proof of purchase. Why to prove this is a TM Driver? I said fine Im a GG member, just look my account up. Sorry we only keep 90 day of information. Another Staff said did you use credit card? I said probably. "well there you go", then I asked how does a charge at Golf Galaxy prove this was a TM driver purchase. I left the driver on the counter. I will never buy another Taylor Made anything nor will I ever purchase from Golf Galaxy again.

Walked out with a kayak, beef jerky, and the sudden desire to grow a beard and live off the grid. This place has everything: flannel shirts that whisper "I chop wood recreationally", boots tougher than your ex, and a taxidermy collection that's probably more extensive than the Smithsonian's. The staff? Super helpful. They knew exactly which rod I needed for "panfish, but like, aggressive ones." Bonus points for the ambiance--where else can you shop for deer blinds under a fake indoor mountain and a ceiling full of ducks? Fun place and I highly recommend. Go check it out

There were balls & different types of tees and 2 different golf bags label men's and women's at your leisure. We only planned on playing for 30 mins but ordered a cocktail & some bits and it turned into a hour. We did a fun kids game that was like the range. We ordered the sliders & chips & guacamole. The sliders wet cooked to perfection & came with fries that were delicious & the chips to guacamole ratio was great. Our cocktails were delicious and we just had a blast: the restroom was so clean and stocked with items that may be needed in a pinch. Great Time & everything was reasonably priced.

I was consistently shooting 110-120 and getting frustrated so I booked my first lesson. Greg had me making huge improvements after 1 lesson by focusing on uncocking wrists, keeping club face closed (I sliced everything) and changing my grip slightly. Once I got the basics down, he kept adding more. My lowest score this summer is a 90 and I haven't shot above 100 the last 4 times I've been out. His lessons have made me enjoy golf again and are WORTH EVERY PENNY.

But I walked around and saw they had some really cool stuff! They have some computer simulators in the back and a putting green by the front (see, I'm not totally dumb about the sport).
