This was not my first…read moretime doing therapy at Dosher, I went to their old location many years ago near Baptist Medical, after having bursitis in my left elbow. At the moment I'm having issues with neck and shoulder pain(Reversal of the normal cervical lordosis with multilevel degenerative disc disease and facet arthropathy). My first 2 sessions were with Jeffrey Spell. Jeffery is friendly and knowledgeable about what he's doing, and I immediately felt like I had known him for years. My other sessions have been with John Mark, another nice, friendly and knowledgeable therapist. Some times my therapy is with Brad Short, now Brad is just as friendly, nice and knowledgeable as the other two therapists, and he knows my brother from when my brother use to teach US history at EHS. Brad has started calling me "little yogi"(a childhood nickname given to my brother by a neighbor when he was a child, and it's still following him over 50 yrs later! My sessions are twice a week, at some point I will see Jeffrey again, sooner rather than later(depending on my progress), all of the therapists that I've worked with have made me feel comfortable and like family. I'll miss those guys when my therapy is completed. If you are in need of physical therapy, check out Dosher Therapy, you will be glad that you did.

MIND YOUR COPAYS!! and don't fill out any patient satisfaction surveys prematurely!!…read more For **13** visits over about 6 weeks these people kept telling me I owed them a $30 copay, so I faithfully paid it prior to receiving treatment each and every time. It was only through chance while I was reviewing some things on my Blue Cross account that I realized I had ZERO responsibility to pay a copay. So first, they took my money when they shouldn't have. Upon realizing that back in April, I contacted their business office and spoke with someone (Taj?) who acknowledged that I shouldn't have been charged those copays and assured me they would be sending my $390 back to me. Yesterday - a month and a half later - I called and they said they still had not sent my money back to me, but acknowledged that they saw their own notes as to the above and would get the money sent to me... but they could not give me any explanation as to why the money wasn't already sent. Moreover, they're telling me it could be another 6 weeks before I receive the money. Multiple calls to Allison, the Business Office Supervisor, keep going unreturned. I keep being told that she's in a meeting and will get back to me afterwards, but that's not happening... So I've now put in a complaint with Blue Cross and will be putting in additional complaints with any state regulatory offices I can. Additionally, their main number 864-654-2001 gives an option to reach the business office, but you can't reach them that way, so you wind up wasting your time and someone else's to get the correct number. Finally, the person who keeps answering (Morgan??) once I reach the business office sounds like they're in a bathroom or some other sort of echo chamber. What a NIGHTMARE!!!!!

I have been a client there twice after each surgery on my thumbs. Adam is the hand guy and what an absolute GEM! The entire office is like a breath of fresh air! EVERYBODY, from the front office to every inch of the business is top notch, Now, it's my husbands turn to go for P.T. We were told to go to a different place and it was a complete nightmare. So today, we have cancelled the initial office and are going back to Excel. THEY treat the client AND the family with respect, care, fun and dignity! So hard to find in a business, nowadays. I had met my deductible and Elite was in network. The billing rep who got in touch as soon as I was referred there by my PCP checked on coverage and told me that every visit would be $20, so we scheduled for 2 visits per week based on this. After going to Elite for about six months I received a bill for $1200. I checked out all of the charges and some visits were billed for over $300. I've had three people in billing tell me three different reasons - "we couldn't have known what insurance would cover" "your insurance coverage changed half way through the year" "actually it was 20% not $20". All of these reasons were incorrect and I've been sent now four different bills with different numbers. I'm somehow down to $600 (changes made without any reason behind it from their perspective - why would that be if they did everything correct on their side?) and my insurance told me to appeal it, so I am. Before I did, I contacted billing to see if they could do anything and was rudely told "go ahead and appeal." She even had the audacity to tell me I should have gotten a quote in writing and signed by the billing rep (who CALLED me with pricing). Sadly, I will not be returning to an incredible staff because the billing procedures are trash and they flat out lie. If you decide to go here get all the quotes in writing.

An older woman was learning to use her walker and I was wedged into a section next to a wheelchair (unoccupied) and right across from where she was practicing. There was no real problem except I felt that I was intruding and to leave that area meant maneuvering around her, her walker, her husband and her therapist to get to the other "U" configuration of seating where another couple was already ensconced. My therapist, Sara, was friendly and upbeat and encouraging about my therapy plan. Unfortunately, the room was HOT AS BLUE BLAZES!! She agreed it was warm and offered me the clip board with my records as a make-do fan. It helped. Nonetheless,by the time I was being checked and manipulated, I was a sweaty mess. She was clear about her suggestions for my therapy and I left understanding what my course of treatment will be. When I was scheduling for my next treatments, there were staff loudly discussing the weekend , and others asking why people did something a certain way and the answer was "Because they're MEN!" Perhaps this type of dialogue might be better limited to the break room? There is ample parking very convenient to the exterior door and the practice is immediately inside that door so all that was quite convenient.
