I went into this place as I needed a last minute haircut. I asked for a simple mid fade, and for skin on the bottom. The woman cutting my hair was nice.. then I heard her tell the other hairdresser "can I borrow clippers". The other lady responded that she didn't have an extra .. the woman continued cutting my hair. Then I hear her say "oh no.. my clippers scratched you a bit". I didn't think anything of it, since I couldn't feel it. Once I got home and showered.. it felt like a cat scratched the heck outta me. Was recommended to try this place while I'm in town. I had a wedding the day I return or I wouldn't have stopped by. I asked for a 2 on top and skin on sides but up high like a high and tight. They seat you so you can't see the mirror at all. When done I was a little upset that she didn't listen to me at all but I paid and left since nothing I could do now and I'm one to avoid confrontations. I finally got to examine it and it's bad... my 2 on top is def longer and I have all kinds of patchy areas not cut. Random patches of longer hair everywhere I look. The skin on the side is non existent. Maybe half inch on the ears and then a tiny fade when it should have been all the way up. could have given myself the same haircut if not better myself using the 2 setting in my razor looking in the mirror. I do not recommend this place at all and I cannot show up to the wedding like this. Luckily I can always take more off because this haircut is so terrible. I asked for people to judge it and they've laughed because it's so hideous. I'm sorry, but damn I paid $20 haircut and $10 tip to have to go pay to have it done again. You can say it's my fault for leaving which it is but to butcher me like that is terrible. read more

First off waited for over 40 minutes with 5 barbers working and 11 numbers in front of me. The reason for taking forever was barbers would take a break after every cut. Secondly when asked what kind of cut I would like I said medium regular when done the base of my neck didn't even feel like the hair had been cut. Normally that spot on everyone gets cut super close with clippers. They must have been using like a 1/2 guard instead of a triple or quadruple zero blade. My clippers at home get closer. Needless to say I went to another place the next day to get a proper hair cut and will not be going back. read more

Two women barbers there DO NOT know how to cut hair. Me and my buddy went and we had two different barbers and both of our haircuts came out messed up. I asked for a taper and I got a straight line going across the back of my head and shaved below that line. My buddy's haircut was the same and he even had a patch of hair left. My Son went to get his haircut and thought "Off the Top" was awesome because they gave free sodas. HINT: Free soda, because it looks like a 3 year old took a pair of blunt scissors and randomly cut his hair while watching Dora the Explorer. His hair looks awful! Uneven, lopsided, choppy. I literally have never seen a worse haircut. I am not kidding or trying to be mean to this business. They should be ashamed of themselves for cutting hair the way they cut my Sons. Here is a suggestion; rename the shop "Off the Tail," and start grooming dogs instead of maiming the human head. Wait a minute, just close down. So so haircut. I'm in the area for 2 months and this is my second try with this barbershop. First time was ok and it was close to what I expected. The second time I was very disappointed. Asked for a high fade, top and front a little longer to style. What I got was an uneven fade, top too short, and front chopped off. Also took a long time to cut my hair. The stylist next to me competed 3 haircuts in the same time with results that looked better. For being so close to a military base it us unfortunate that a standard high fade is hard to achieve. read more

Unfortunately, they raised the prices recently-- but its still my favorite barbershop in the area. I often see the owner who is friendly and the shop has character. You get a free (non-alcoholic) beverage with your haircut. In any case, most of the barbers seem pretty good at what they do. Weekends, especially the day before the Soldiers go back to work can be impossibly crowded. Fortunately, the barbers don't rush despite the place being packed. read more
