I finally decided to look elsewhere for a place to make copies and send faxes. It is set up as an obstacle course. And trying to navigate thru the aisles in the front, there are so many things that you bump into and so many displays that can get knocked over. Not designed for customers at all. And to get any help with sending faxes for instance, no one is around to help and you have to walk all the way thru their maze to get to the counter where a sales person can help you. I looked around for options and The UPS Store looks good for my copy needs and is just across the street in the Riverside Mall. Update on June 14, 2025. I tried The UPS Store and it was a no good at all for just making copies from a USB. You have to sit at a computer screen and then they ask for your credit card and they won't accept a debit card, so that finished it for me. I only use my credit card for emergencies, they charge interest. And I just wanted to print, not try to work their computer. So I ended up going back to Office Depot and they had made the aisles easy now to walk around. The obstacle course was gone. A miracle. I wanted to make note of it. read more

I came in to print something for my grandpa's funeral arrangements. I asked Jacob, to please assist me with the print(s). He then said "let me check" and proceeded to walk off and do this... his manager said perhaps he was trying to tell you he couldn't complete your order. I then asked, after standing there for 25mins would he be able to complete my order, (this is of course after he finish talking & finish his drink with his mask down behind the counter)! This is when he said "ohhhh, NO I can't", after having me stand there for 25 mins waiting on an answer. Thank Jacob for being so insensitive! Great customer service. read more

I needed a new office chair so I thought I'd check Office Depot out! The store was clean and and pretty well organized. The parking lot here is huge which is so helpful when lugging something large out to your car. There were representatives walking around but no one asked us if we needed any help. They actually have a huge selection of office chairs. It was bit overwhelming but I was glad I had a lot of options to choose from. I was going to order one online but I needed to physically come in and try it out because I'm picky with chairs. I bought a black leather one for $189 that I liked! I was so glad I had my husband with me that day because the chair box was large and heavy and he was able to kindly carry it for me. Again, no one popped over to ask us if they could assist, even with the bulky box which I thought was odd. The cashier was friendly and the checkout process was quick. Our experience here overall was fine but could have been better if we had some touch point of conversation with an employee throughout the selection process. read more

Ran in first thing in the morning for Sharpies for my kid- he needed metallic silver & gold Sharpies for work- so we were happy to immediately find what we needed -loads of Sharpies for sale- and hit the road. This is the worst Office Depot that I have ever experienced! All I needed to do was drop off a FedEx package, have the label that was already attached scanned and get a receipt. It appeared that anyone could have stopped what they were doing to help the FedEx or other shipping customers but nope. One woman was just wandering around attempting to appear busy. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Went to get some copies made. Waited at the copy counter for like 5 minutes, even though there was one clerk doing nothing but standing around and talking to the other two clerks, before I was asked what I needed. Then that clerk tells another clerk to take care of my order. But that clerk is too "busy" talking to another clerk. She looks at me, and then goes back to talking to the clerk next to her. After a few minutes, she comes over and takes my USB flash drive and starts loading it into the computer. But now she says she needs to punch out, and proceeds to close out my order to access the program where the employees clock out. In my retail experience, if you're helping a customer and your shift ends, you finish helping the customer before you clock out. So this girl is taking her sweet time clocking out, and gabbing with a coworker. Now she leaves. My order is still waiting to be processed. And the remaining two girls are just talking away. Again, minutes pass, and one girl tells the other to go help me. She opens up my flash drive and I tell her what I want. Four images printed in black & white on 8.5 x 11 size paper. Two copies of each. And print the images at their original size at 7x9. She then informs me that she can't print in 7x9 size, only in 5x7, 8x6, 8x10, or full size. I said no, the images need to be printed keeping their original 7x9 size. She doesn't say anything, but sends the files to the printer. One image prints out, and it's printed the full sized of the paper. I said oh no, it has to be 7x9! I told her last time I was here I needed a image printed at 6x6 and had no problem getting that done. She says oh, then you need Photoshop, so we have to use a different computer. So she takes my flash drive out of the first computer, and starts loading it up on the second computer. But taking her sweet time doing it because the other clerk is talking to her. She's talking while working on the computer at a snail's pace. After what seems like forever, she says to me, your images are already 7X9! I said yes they are! Now more time is wasted with more conversation between the girls. Another long wait, and my copies are finally printed. The other girl rings my order up at the register and says sorry for the delay. I think to myself, yeah right you're sorry. It shouldn't take 20 to 25 minutes just to get 8 black & white copies! How these employees keep their jobs with their crappy customer service is beyond me. If I did the same thing they did when I worked in retail, ignoring the customer(s) to talk to coworkers, I'd get written up or fired. In retail, the customer comes first. You wait until the customer(s) is taken care of or gone before you talk to your coworkers. After that experience, I will not waste my time going to this store again. This place should have went out of business instead of the Meijer near to it. read more

Online orders and a email with the card used to purchase the order but I was told that's not good enough because It could be fraud..... no or it could be because I wasn't white. Really easy to make copies - walk up to a self serve machine, swipe your CC, and start copying. You can charge up to $150 of copies. I also picked up photo mailers. Good selection & it's a better value to buy the multi-pack. Friendly customer service & employees are easy to find if you need help. read more

I had to write a review about Leah (hope I spelled her name correctly) in the copy department. She is fantastic. I visited the store to have a 36X24 poster of the Eiffel tower printed for my daughter's school project. The first day I came to the store another young lady helped me, but when I received my picture it was not worth the $20 price tag. The picture was blurred and it did not print edge to edge. The young lady called over another gentlemen who claimed he knew what was to do. He downloaded a new picture from the internet with better resolution (supposedly) and stated that it would take about 30+ minutes to print. I informed him that I could pick it up the next day; preferably in the morning (it was 20 minute before close and I did not want to inconvenience the staff). The next morning when I phoned the store (the gentleman helping me the previous day said it would be ready by 9am) around 10, Leah could not find my order. She was very helpful in calling the guy who wasn't working that day and looking everywhere until she found the order and my memory stick... To try to make this long story shorter...When I arrived to pick up my picture, not only was the picture printed incorrectly, it was the wrong picture. Leah walked me through viewing the right picture and reprinted it twice to ensure I was happy. She was very sweet the entire time. Very helpful from my initial call to the store that morning and she knew exactly what she was doing. Kudos to her...and thanks a heap! read more

This is where I go every August for school supplies. What I like most about this store is that they have classroom school supply lists for all of the schools in Berwyn (both the #98 and #100 school districts). This is definitely handy in case you don't have your list on hand with you when you are ready to go shopping. I also like the fact that they always have everything my kid needs here for school. They never run out of anything, even during the big school supply rush- they have it all. I used to have to go from store to store and get everything piecemeal. Now, I just simply go to Office Depot, grab my list and grab the items and I'm out of there. The wait time to check out is minimal. If you have an Office Depot savings card, it really helps out during school supply shopping time (I had about $100 worth of stuff and my card got me $15 off). The store is very clean, spacious and the staff is nice. They even have "1 D" (that's One Direction for you folks who don't have teens, tweens, or preteens) notebooks, diaries, note pads, pencils, etc. And it was cheap. This made my kid happy and my wallet even happier. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE. I placed an order online for a printer for in-store pick up. A short while later, I noticed the order status was updated to "Picked up". However, neither I nor the person who I authorized to pick it up picked it up. They just willingly gave away my purchase without checking ID. I tried calling the store multiple times, but you are first connected to an automated message and are then place on hold forever until the line cuts off. Absurd! I can not wait for this awful location to close its doors. 80% of the time there are completely incompetent management and untrained zombies walking the floor. I literally stood at the register with another customer for 10 minutes while several employees passed by as if they had Zero knowledge about what we might want standing there. There is one girl there who is The Rudest person I've encountered so far there (which many are) - walked up and belted "cash or card" like my patronage was an inconvenience. Every person in that joint needs to lose their jobs and struggle for a while until they learn how to treat people. It's such a nasty place with nasty people. read more

Unfortunately we're out of ink and just received a donation to pickup some supplies. I couldn't find my tax exempt card and the cashier couldn't pull it up with our tax exempt number I looked and looked for it and haven't the foggiest idea where it is. I was informed to fill out another tax exempt form and fax it to them. I don't understand the system...why can't you find anything with our tax exempt number...why can't you find anything with my phone number or the ministry name...all this for $5 which we don't have... our budget is small and we do what we can to move forward..thanks but no thanks office depot... read more

I bought a printer here last night. I definitely appreciate that they were willing to match a competitors advertised price. When I got the printer home I was shocked to see it did not contain the ink cartridges it should. I called the store, fully expecting to have to haul the thing back, and get a new one. To my surprise and delight they offered to give me new ink, and not just the wimpy ones that I was supposed to get but full ones. Great service! read more

I needed to use the copy center to print invitations from a pdf file. I have to admit that I originally went to Kinko's (only because they were open 24 hours and I couldn't make it to Office Depot before 9pm). The invitation color was completely off with white blotches and roller marks all over the invite. When I was told by a Kinko's employee that it was the file and couldn't be fixed, I left and went to Office Depot the next day. An employee named Margaret was working at Office Depot and she was wonderful! She was so patient and kind and worked with me until the invitation came out beautiful! I can't say enough kind things about her! I will only go to Office Depot to have anything printed! Fantastic customer service! read more

Today I had the worst experience ever! I went to the store to print out 2 pages. I was "lucky" to find there Ms. APRIL, who has no customer service skills. She was very rude. Ms. April seemed to be very upset when I asked her any questions and she would do some other things rather than helping me. April threw on the floor the paper rolls in front of the customers. Maybe you would consider to use her to restock the shelves with supplies instead of letting her deal with customers. read more

On the good side: lines aren't as long as they used to be and I've never had a rude employee work with me. On the bad side, speed of customer service is often very slow, I've had employees proven wrong more than once in certain exchanges, and waiting several minutes for an employee to take your order or follow up on it is not uncommon. I go there if I can't get what I want somewhere else. read more
