The staff are beyond unhelpful. I asked for help and the man at the counter didn't even look up and vaguely waived in a direction.

Staff immediately asking if I need help, multiple times within a few minutes span, even following me to the aisle after I already said no. Then when I finally ask where an item is, they tried to tell me it was online only even though the Office Depot website is showing it as unavailable in store. So when I continued to try to look myself, another store associate asked if I needed help (they clearly were trying to get me out the door) I told him what the last associate said and that it says it's available in their store online. He didn't even look, just said "our website messes up sometimes, if you can't find it then it's probably online only. By the way, we close in 5 minutes" I was well aware of what time they close and was within the window of being out of the store on time. Extreme lack of customer service and actual ability as well as desire to help me. read more

Mark helped me make really good copies of 80 yr old pictures for my siblings. My favorite picture he was able to increase the size 100% without losing clarity. It took a fair amount of time but he was very patient. I always get good service at this store! My pictures on my home printer were so dark you couldn't really make out the faces. This review is not about the local Boulder store which does a great job. This review is about the incorrect information on their website. A year ago I needed a new printer. I found the one I wanted and the Office Depot website told me it was in stock at the Boulder store. I ordered it for store pickup. When I went to pick it up, I was told that they didn't have it in stock. Today I needed another printer and the one I want is hard to find. The Office Depot website said it was not available in Boulder but it gave me several other locations where I could pick it up. I tried to call the store, no one answers the number you are given, they just send you back to the website. I used the chat box and after about 10 minutes I was told that the closest store that has one is in California. If the chat person can get accurate information, why can't their website provide accurate information? I have now learned my lesson not to trust the information on the Office Depot website. This Office Depot totally understands customer service and takes it to a higher level. I felt like I had a partner in my shopping decisions and experience from the get go to the minute I left. This store is adequate for some but not all of my office supply needs. The staff is generally friendly and helpful but there is not always a cashier available since they do duty on the floor too. A quick errand to pick up something easy to find yourself can take just as long to wait to pay. It's an old small store, with more furniture than electronics, very different than Staples. But I tend to use it more than Staples. read more

I needed earbuds for a flight out and was pressed for time. Nice guy showed me where they were. I asked if they fit an iPhone. He said yes, and pointed to two different types. Bought it, got outside and the jack was wrong. Went right back in and he said "Oh, you need an adapter. Apple does things differently." When I laughed and said I just asked him if they would connect to my phone, he said sorry, I misunderstood . I Should have gone to the Target across the street if I had the time. read more

I had already tried two stores for getting a simple review card assembled and printed for a restaurant, and they couldn't get it done for a day. Unfortunately, I was just in town for the day on errands and really needed to find a place to get it done for me that day. As my last chance, I went to Office Depot and they were really great. Although they were busy, they did work my order in -- they scanned in my printed material, enhanced it a bit (so the QR code was darker), made sure that is scanned correctly, and got my order printed and cut to size in a few hours. They did make a mistake and print it out on paper rather than card stock. But then they reprinted it on card stock while I waited -- which I really appreciated. Finally, they saved the file for the review card in their computer so that we can reprint easily by just calling them. They really helped me out and did a great job. read more

I work for an organization in Boulder and we have consistently used Office Depot for our printing. Lately all of our printing orders have been done wrong or late. They are always understaffed, the turnover rate is higher than a CU student on 4-20, and the quality is extremely poor. I haven't been to Staples or other office stores in Boulder, but Office Depot is NOT the answer. Avoid them at all costs. read more

I came here for a printer, and office supplies for my home office for graduate school. Every time I'm here the staff (mostly male) seems totally bored and usually 2 or 3 of them try to help me at the same time. They are genuinely helpful and nice and not really that creepy, I just wish they wouldn't hover so much. Again, I think boredom is rampant. read more

Just had the worst experience at this location I was able to blow off the guy working at the computers who talked to me like I'm the stupidest human on earth then to get scolded by some grumpy lady at check out Mabye you should give your employees off on Labor Day. The attendant went WAY out of her way to make sure I got a PERFECTLY printed copy, and then also helped me find a coupon to make it more affordable. Then she got it all done immediately! Ever noticed how the holiday season brings out the best (or worst) in the staff. Parking was horrendous today in the mini mall where this store is located. But the personalized customer service from the moment I entered the store made it all worthwhile. I had three things on my list. The gentleman at the front of the store directed me to all three items within three minutes or less--genuinely smiling the entire time. The woman at checkout was quick and personable. There are office stores nearer my home, but I always go back to this one and today is only one of the many times I have been soundly pleased to have done so. read more

Awful. Have been there several times now because this is the closest office supply store to my house. But no longer. The last two times I had to wait ten minutes for help. The last time the guy tells me that he will be with me after helping a lady. She then gets to the register, two people in front of her, pays and leaves. He goes and walks to the back, never coming back. Wouldn't be a problem if they had plenty of other employees, but they don't. They appear to be chronically understaffed. Both times I ended up driving down 28th to Staples, getting help instantly. I called for help with my computer. From the minute they answered the phone the kid was condescending and rude. No friendliness or offer to see what he could do to hlep. I asked if they worked on a certain part of the computer and he said no, so I asked if they worked on computers at all. He said only on software, when I said, oh, ok thanks, he just hung up. I will be taking our business, as well as our companies business elsewhere in the future. read more

I have never written a review on yelp before, but the manager (Bryan), took excellent care of us during our recent trip to Office Depot. Before that time, I was so frustrated with online support people from Office Depot and Asurion (the insurance company that office depot contracts with for laptop service) that I was ready to file a complaint on several review sites. Before I did that, I decided to talk to a manager in person. Bryan and the staff listened to our complaints, understood, and completely resolved our problem. I own a business in Boulder and have been using Office Max for years. Since Office Depot took over I have been greated with such poor customer service. I ordered some printing and if it gets done, at all, it's wrong. Then; when I call to complain, Freda, one of the the managers is very rude. I had to go into the store three times to get a simple printing projest done that they have stored in their computer and have printed these same items before. Twice I had to call office Max to have them call over to Office Depot to get it done. I was shocked when I found out the the person that was so0 rude to me (Freda) was a manager. Don't take your computer here!! Took my 17 month old working computer in for Windows 10 upgrade. After two weeks and unsuccessful upgrade, it was recommended I buy new computer. They said they would transfer data to new one. They were unsuccessful saying I had a hard drive problem. I was annoyed to hear I lost all pics, etc. Wrote to manager, no response. Do not take computer here. I ended up taking into Data Doctors --- very knowledgeable staff and they were able to transfer my data. read more

I do not recommend ordering online and having them deliver because they use a courier and he doesn't seem to want to deliver items. I have order items to be delivered to my business and haven't ever got my order, I call the 800 number for office depot and they tell me someone refused to accept the order, I am the only one in my office and no one ever tried to deliver, I told them he must be trying to deliver to the wrong place and thats why it was refused and asked them to have the delivery person call me if someone tells them they cant sign because that means he is at the wrong location, they set up another delivery but same issue, I didn't receive a phone call and had to call in 4 different days and got the same excuse, then I ask for my money back and they tell me someone for higher up will contact me within a couple days. Its been 4 weeks since I ordered and still no resolution and my money is still tied up on stuff I don't have. Horrible experience, would be better if they used a company like UPS or FedEx because then I would have gotten my order. I recommend going into the store instead of having supplies delivered to avoid this nightmare! read more
