Office Depot|Office Max - Springhurst Blvd in Louisville, KY. AMAZING! Magic was so helpful! He created 15 spiral bound presentation books for me last minute. He was knowledgeable, the books looked great and he even kept the store open late so I could pick them up same day. (Presentation was early the next morning). I never imagined I would reach my 100th review on Yelp this quickly after starting in 2017, but then again, being a Yelp member has been such a positive life-changing experience for me. The support from the other Yelpers and the Elite staff has been tremendous and the positive encouragement has been phenomenal. Today I stopped into Office Depot to scan some important documents when I became an Eagle Scout. The road to being an Eagle Scout was long and challenging, but a stroll down memory lane was a much needed confidence boost for me. This OfficeMax store is conveniently located next to many major retailers and service at the store is great. Upon entering the store, I was greeted by an associate within 10 seconds, yes 10 seconds. This shows the great level of customer service by the store. I walked to the back of the store where they had a station for customers to use to copy, print and scan their own documents. There was no line to use these machines. They were efficient and the finished product was great. I highly recommend stopping in for any self-scanning needs. To scan a page in color is 25 cents/page. Pretty reasonable I must say. After finishing my work, I walked through the store and the store was fully stocked and there was not an empty hole at all. Great job by the store to make sure products were plentiful and available for customers to purchase. I highly recommend this store to any customer who is in the market for office materials, supplies or even office furniture. Also recommend this location to anyone who needs to just make copies or scan any documents. read more

This is the ONLY competent Officemax/Office Depot in the Louisville area. I had submitted a poster to be printed and laminated to another store. I chose Office Depot because they promise same day printing as long as you submit your order before 2 pm. I submitted my poster at 12 pm. Fast forward to 6 pm and I give the original location a call to see if it would be ready by 7 pm as promised. Nope. Their large printer was broken. Okay, so would they have called to inform me of this or was I just lucky to find out because I called to ask?! Poor service from the original location. I was able to transfer the project to this location and Haley in the printing department was a literal lifesaver. She was sent the file to be printed and had it finished an hour and a half later. I was overjoyed. Bless her and bless this location. read more

This is a national chain office supply store. Like other major players, if it can be used in or around an office, you can get it here. Bad: Very limited locations in town. Most folks in town have a much easier access to an Office Depot or Staples. Good: I was surprised, but I have found a handful of items priced much better at Officemax. read more

Great staff and store is kept very clean and organized. I returned a laptop bag which had premature wear and after some discussion with several of their staff was impressed with their attitude of a customer er being more important than the technicalities of a limited warranty which led to differing judgements. In the end they gave me the benefit of the doubt and retained a customer vs being closed minded. Kudos to their management for making a good customer-friendly decision. read more

What a terrible experience. I've been there a handful of times prior to this. On a couple of occasions it's been fine. The staff was very nice. I remember roughly three months ago, I needed something printed and I was having issues with the website. So, I called and asked for the email address to the store so I could submit my request directly to them. Tom answered, and was far from helpful and thought it was absurd that I asked. I found that curious because the other times I had printed documents up, I submitted them directly to the store. He was pretty rude. Fast forward to the present. I submitted some documents through the website. I had two separate invoices. I went in the store the next day. While I was waiting I already had an idea of how my experience was going to be. A lady was confused about the price of some paper. Tom was there and told her that the paper is .99 cents a pound. She replied that because the paper she was purchasing was thirty pounds, the price would be $30 roughly. Instead of agreeing, Tom decided to correct her with the exact price in a condescending tone that I was about to experience. Now it's my turn to be waited on by...you guessed it, Tom. I informed him that I had to separate documents that I need to pick up, but I also had a request. I asked if he was able to print a mailing label out for me so I could mail those documents out. Well apparently, I asked him to explain the space-time continuum. He then asked if I wanted a FedEx label, to which I answered, no or else I would have asked for one. He finally understands the foreign language that I was speaking and told me that I would have to pay for a sheet of labels. That's fair and I've done it before. He told me I'd half to pay for the printing. That's fair and I've done it before. Then he tells me that he would charge me $1.25 a MINUTE to type the addresses up. I scoffed at the notion. I told him I've never been charged before, he responded, "Then consider yourself lucky." I told him never mind and I would like to pick up my documents. He finds one, but not the other. He continues to look. He asks me questions as though I were a bumbling idiot. For example, "Are you sure you submitted it online." I showed him the confirmation to let him know it wasn't all a dream. I'm waiting and waiting. I then looked at Tom and said, "So, should I be charging you a $1.25 per minute." He shot back such a dirty look for a tongue-in-cheek comment. Obviously there was some truth to that. If Office Max thought there time was so important that they would charge me a $1.25 per minute to type up an address, is my time not as valuable? He then asked if I could go back home and email the documents directly to the store (yes, because I want to make two trips and have the same experience). Remember at the beginning of this ridiculously long review where I indicated that Tom was beside himself when I called three months ago to email the store directly for some printing? Now, it's totally okay. Tom's attitude was amazingly awful. The audacity of this man who was condescending to customers and low browing me. Sir, your economic worth is currently worth roughly $10 an hour. Your job can be fulfilled by a college or high school student who is getting some side money. He is not a CEO that has the weight of the world on his shoulders. He prints documents! I'm sorry I got elitist, but the point had to be made. Bottom line, I never got all of my documents and now I have to go somewhere else. I would say if you want to save some money and deal with a nasty associate who tries to "sound professional," but is dripping in arrogance, then by all means go there. Now there's the added bonus of incompetence, so there is no point. Save your dignity and your frustrations and go somewhere else. read more

Only giving one star since I can't give ZERO. Tried to make copies on my own, but the self-copying machine is stupidly slow - seven or eight clicks, with delays after each, to make a single copy. So I left it with them - they said they might have it that evening, or the next day, and that they'd call me when it was done. No call that evening, no call the next morning, so I finally called. Got put on hold, then hung up on. Called again, got put on hold again, then finally "Oh yeah, it's here - ready when you are." Then the price - oh my God. I make copies all the time, across the country, and the price they charged me was easily 50% higher than I expected. Then the quality - easily the worst copies I've ever had made. They were copying from a book, and evidently figured that if they got 2/3 of the page copied, that would be good enough. So my students had to ask me during their exam about the missing parts of the questions that OfficeMax had missed by slapping the book onto the copier and hitting copy without bothering to make sure it was lined up. TL;DR Save yourself money and frustration - go ANYWHERE else. read more
